5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Jaduhṉ wiingtuum myíiṉgumbä:
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Højtsä Dios tøø xyajnähdíjjäm coo miädiaꞌagy hajxy nmäbǿjcämät, coo hajxy xquiuꞌughájtämät. Xyhuunghájtäm hajxy jaduhṉ coo hajxy ween hoy njäyaꞌayhájtämät neby jeꞌe hoy jiäyaꞌayhatiän. Tøø cuhdujt hajxy xmióoyyäm coo hajxy nDeedyhájtämät nebiä Jesucristo jaꞌa Dios Tieedyhatiän. Tøø Dios hajxy xyajpädsǿøm̱äm haxøøgtuum. Hodiuum hajxy hoy xpiädaactägájtsäm. Jaduhṉä miädiaꞌagy hajxy nyajwáꞌxämät coo møjmayhajt tøø tiuṉ̃ maa højtscøxphájtäm.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Coo mijts hijty mgaꞌa mäbøcy, paadiä Dios hajxy hijty xquiaꞌa cuꞌughaty. Cabä Dios hajxy hijty xñäxuuc̈h. Pero coo hajxy jaduhṉ mmäbøjnä, paadiä Dios hajxy jaduhṉ xñäxuuꞌtsnä. Paady hajxy xquiuꞌughajnä.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Mäguꞌughajpädøjc, hoy hajxy yaa nja híjtäm hädaa yaabä naax̱wiin, cabä njoot hajxy yaa tøø nbädáacäm maa hädaa yaabä naax̱wiimbän. Jim̱ä njoot hajxy tøø nbädáacäm maa Dioswiinduumän. Tsøcxä haxøøgwiinmahñdy hajxy høx̱híjxäm, jaduhṉä Dios miädiaꞌagy hajxy hoy ngudiúuṉämät.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Hoy hajxy mja hity maa jäyaꞌayä Diosmädiaꞌagy hajxy quiaꞌa mäbøquiän, hoy hajxy mwädítät. Hoy hajxy jaduhṉ mjäyaꞌayhádät, hoyyä jäyaꞌay hajxy cu xjia nähøønøꞌøw. Coo Dios yaa quiädáꞌagät tøyhajtyajyejpä, mänit mijtsä jäyaꞌay hänajty xyhixaꞌañ coo mijtsä Dios miädiaꞌagy hänajty hoy tøø mjaanc̈h cudiuuṉä, jaꞌa Diosmädiaꞌagy hajxy hänajty tøø quiaꞌa mäbǿquiäbä. Mänitä Dios hajxy wyiingudsähgøꞌøwaꞌañ.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Mwiingudsähgǿøyyäbä tuuṉgmøødpä miädiaꞌagy hajxy. Cabä pøṉ jaduhṉ waam̱b xñänǿmät. Hix̱, mbanøcxypä Diosmädiaꞌagy hajxy jaduhṉ. Y coo jaꞌa tuuṉgmøødpä miädiaꞌagy hajxy mgaꞌa wiingudsähgǿøyyät, mänaꞌanaam̱bä jäyaꞌayhajxy jaduhṉ coogä mädiaꞌagy quiaꞌa hoyyä, jaꞌa mijts jaduhṉ mbanøcxypä. Mwiingudsähgǿøyyäbä gobiernä miädiaꞌagy hajxypä. Jaayaꞌay møjtuuṉg jaduhṉ näꞌägä møød.

14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Jaduhṉä Dios chocy coo hajxy hoy mjäyaꞌayhádät. Jii jäyaꞌayhajxy näjeꞌe, cabä Diosmädiaꞌagy hajxy ñäꞌägädä wiinjuøꞌøwaꞌañ. Jaanc̈h tehm̱ quiuhxex̱ hajxy jaduhṉ. Hoy hajxy jaduhṉ quiaꞌa jagä wiinjuøꞌøwaꞌañ, nøm̱ hajxy wyiꞌi miänaꞌañ cooc tyijy jaꞌa Diosmädiaꞌagy quiaꞌa hoyyä. Hoorä, coo mijts tøyhajt mhojiäyaꞌayhádät, caj mijtsä jäyaꞌay hoy xñähøønǿꞌøwät, jaꞌa Diosmädiaꞌagy hajxy caꞌa wiinjuøꞌøwaam̱bä.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Näjeꞌejä jäyaꞌayhajxy miänaꞌañ cooc tyijy cuhdujt hajxy miøødä coo hajxy hoñejpiä jiatcǿꞌøwät, jeꞌeguiøxpä coogä Jesucristo hajxy tøø yajnähwaꞌac̈hii. Pero cab jaduhṉ tiøyyä. Cab jaduhṉ yhoyyä coo hoñejpiä njatcǿøyyämät. Pero tsøgä Dios miädiaꞌagy hajxy cudiúuṉäm nebiaty hajxy xyhanéhm̱äm.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Mwiingudsähgǿꞌøwäbä jäyaꞌay hajxy nägøx̱iä. Mnic̈hoc mnimieeꞌxǿøjäp hajxy pønjatiä Diosmädiaꞌagy mäbøjp. Mwiingudsähgǿꞌøwäbä Dios hajxy, jaduhṉä gobiernä hajxy mwiingudsähgǿøbiät.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Mijtshajxy moonsähajpä, mmäbǿjcäbä mwiindsøṉä miädiaꞌagy hajxy. Mwiingudsähgǿꞌøwäp hajxy jaduhṉ, hoy hänajty yhojiäyaꞌayä quiaꞌa hojiäyaꞌayä.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Coo mwiindsǿṉ hajxy xchaac̈htiúnät näꞌä nägoobä, hoy hajxy hänajty tøø mgaꞌa jagä cädieey, mmeeꞌxtúgäp hajxy jaduhṉ. Mnajuøøby hajxy jaduhṉ coo Dios hajxy jaduhṉ xquiumáyät.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Pero pø tøø hajxy hänajty mjaanc̈h cädieey, hahixøøby jaduhṉ coo hajxy mgumädów̱ät. Y cabä Dios hajxy jaduhṉ xquiumáyät, hoy hajxy cu mja meeꞌxtuc. 20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Jaduhṉä Dios hajxy tøø xyajnähdíjjäm coo hänaꞌc hajxy näꞌä nägoobä xchaac̈htiúuṉämät nebiä Jesucristo chaac̈htiuuṉän. Hix̱, højts jaayaꞌay xñähhoꞌtúutäm. Y mieeꞌxtujc jaduhṉ. Jaduhṉä Dios chocy coo Jesucristo hajxy nbahíjxämät neby jeꞌe mieeꞌxtujquiän.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Cabä Jesucristo mänaa ñäꞌägä cädieey. Ni mänaa quiaꞌa høhṉdaꞌagy.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Coo haxøøg jia nämaayyä, cab haxøøg yhadsoodägajch. Coo chaac̈htiuuṉä, cab jaduhṉ waam̱b miänaaṉ̃ coo hänajty yaghawiimbijtägatsaꞌañ. Jaꞌa Dios quiøꞌøjooty jeꞌe ñibiädaacä. Hix̱, ñajuøøbiä Jesucristo hänajty jaduhṉ coo jäyaꞌayhajxy hänajty nägøx̱iä yajtøyhajtyegaꞌañii jaꞌa Diósäm. Jaduhṉä Dios hajxy xyhíjxäm neby hajxy njäyaꞌayhájtäm.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Coo Jesucristo hajxy hoy xñähhoꞌtúutäm cruzcøxp, jaduhṉä nbojpä ngädieey hajxy xyajnähwáatsäm. Tsøcxä jaꞌa haxøøgwiinmahñdy hajxy najtshixǿøyyäm. Tsøc hajxy jahmiejtstáacäm coo Jesucristo hajxy nmøødhíjtäm tuꞌugmädiaꞌagy mänaa yhoꞌoguiän, mänaa jiujypiøjtägachän. Paady hajxy njugyhadáaṉäm homiänaajä nebiä Dios jiugyhatiän. Coo hajxy jaduhṉ ngudiúuṉämät nebiä Dios hajxy xyhanéhm̱äm, mänitä Dios hajxy jaduhṉ xquiumayáaṉäm.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Jaduhṉ mäwiin hajxy hijty njäyaꞌayhájtäm nebiä meeghajxy tiägowiäditiän jäguem̱duum. Cabä mädiaꞌagy hajxy hijty nmäbǿjcäm jaꞌa Jesucristocøxpä. Pero tøø hajxy nmäbǿjcänä. Y xcwieendähájtämä Jesucristo hajxy jaduhṉ.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
