1 Núsáá te ná sía̱‑ro̱ táká tu̱'un ñáá, ta̱ká tu̱'un xndá'ú, tu̱'un yóso yú'u, tu̱'un kuásún iní, jíín táká tu̱'un káka'a̱n ndɨva̱'a sɨkɨ̱ tá'an.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Te ná kaní ini̱‑ro̱ leche máá Espíritu kaxin‑ro nátu̱'un su̱chí yíkɨ́n sáá ní kaku‑i, náva̱'a ka̱ku‑ró te kua'nu‑ró jíín. Chi̱ leche‑ún, tú xndá'ú kutɨ.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Chi̱ a ni̱ kajini̱‑ro̱ já vá'a xaa̱n iní máá Jíto'o̱‑yo̱.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Kandita nuu̱‑yá jíná'an‑ró, chi̱ nátu̱'un yuu̱ chakú kúu‑ya̱. Te ta̱ká ña̱yɨvɨ, va̱sa ni̱ ka̱ské'ichi̱‑i‑ya̱, ko ni̱ ka̱ji Dios‑ya̱, nátu̱'un ɨɨn yuu̱ lúu.
4 — ausente —
5 Suni róó, nátu̱'un yuu̱ chakú kákuu‑ró. Te ná kuá'nu‑ró kuu‑ró ɨ́ɨn ve'e ii̱ máá‑yá, te kuu‑ró sutú ndoo, te nuu̱ Dios soko̱‑ro̱ tú'un cuenta Espíritu, chi ja̱ sɨkɨ́ Jesucristo te kúsɨɨ̱ iní Dios nú súan.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Chi̱ súan ká'a̱n tutu̱ ii̱: Vina te onde̱ ñuu̱ Sion ka̱itúu‑rí ɨɨn yuu̱ kánúú kúndiso jiki̱, chi̱ nátu̱'un yuu̱ lúu ni̱ ka̱ji‑ri̱‑ya̱, te cha̱a kándíja nuu̱‑yá, ma̱ kúka nuu̱‑dé, áchí.
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Luu káa máá‑yá nuu̱ róó ja̱ kákandíja‑ró‑yá. Ko sɨkɨ̱ ñáyɨvɨ tú kákandíja ká'a̱n: Cha̱a káchutá'an ve'e va̱sa ni̱ ka̱ské'ichi̱‑de yuu̱, ko yuu̱‑ún ni̱ ni'i̱n tíñu kundiso jiki̱.
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Te suni yuu̱ skáchi'i ja'a̱‑í nání‑yá, te kava júngoyo‑i sá'a kúu‑ya̱, áchí. Chi̱ kájungoyo‑i kua̱chi sɨkɨ̱ já tú kájandatu̱‑i tu̱'un‑ya̱. Te ni̱ jani‑ya̱‑í ja̱ súan sá'a‑i.
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Ko róó, tata̱ ja̱ ní ka̱ji máá‑yá kákuu‑ró, te suni sutu̱ kúñá'nu xaa̱n, te suni ña̱yɨvɨ ndóo, jíín ñáyɨvɨ ní ni'i̱n‑yá kákuu‑ró. Súan ni̱ sá'a‑ya̱ róó náva̱'a kani‑ró tú'un ndasa xaa̱n vá'a ini̱ máá I'a̱ ni̱ kana xini̱‑ro̱ ná ni̱ kaxiu̱kú‑ró ñúñáa. Te ni̱ kɨ̱vɨ koyo‑ró núu̱ lúu nuu̱ ndíi ncháa̱ máá‑yá.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Chi̱ róó, onde̱ sáá nasu̱ ñáyɨvɨ Dios kákuu‑ró núú. Ko vina a ni̱ ka̱nduu‑ró ñáyɨvɨ máá‑yá. Suni onde̱ sáá té ni'i̱n‑gá‑ro̱ tú'un kúndá'ú ini̱‑ya̱ róó, ko vina, a kúndá'ú ini̱‑ya̱ róó.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Ñáni̱ máni̱, ká'a̱n nda̱'ú‑ri̱ jíín‑ró nátu̱'un ká'a̱n‑ri̱ jíín cháa jíká jíín cháa kájika kuu tatú, ma̱ sá'a‑ró táká tiñu kákani̱ ini̱ máá‑ró, chi yu̱án kája̱tá'an sɨkɨ̱ añú‑ro̱.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Te ná káka jíñú'ún‑ró má'ñú ñáyɨvɨ sɨ́ɨn nación. Náva̱'a va̱sa kákaji̱‑i róó nátu̱'un sɨkɨ̱ cháa kásá'a tiñu ñáá, ko nú ná kuní‑i nuu̱ tíñu va̱'a kásá'a‑ró te nakana jaa‑i Dios kɨvɨ̱ kíi‑ya̱.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Ja̱ sɨkɨ́ máá Dios, te kuandatu̱‑ro̱ núu̱ táká cha̱a ndíso tíñu, va̱sa nuu̱ rey, chi cha̱a kúñá'nu‑ga̱ kúu‑de,
13 — ausente —
14 xí núu̱ táká gobernador ja̱ ní tájí‑de va̱ikoyo, náva̱'a xndó'o‑de ta̱ká ña̱yɨvɨ kásá'a tiñu ñáá, te ka'a̱n‑de tu̱'un jíñú'ún jíín ñáyɨvɨ kásá'a tiñu va̱'a.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Chi̱ kuní Dios ja̱ sá'a‑ró tíñu va̱'a. Te jíín tíñu va̱'a‑ún kundéé‑ró kasú‑ro̱ núu̱ tú'un ña̱yɨvɨ yúkú já tú kájuku̱'un ini̱‑i.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Ná káka kuu ndicha̱‑na̱‑ro̱. Ko nasu̱ já núña ichi já máni sá'a‑ró tíñu ñáá, chi̱ sua ja̱ ná kuátíñu‑ró núu̱ Dios.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Koo ja̱ jíñú'ún‑ró jíín táká ña̱yɨvɨ. Kundá'ú ini̱‑ro̱ ñaní kákandíja. Kuandatu̱‑ro̱ núu̱ Dios. Koo ja̱ jíñú'ún‑ró jíín máá rey.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Róó mozo, ná kuándatu̱‑ro̱ núu̱ cháa kákuu patrón‑ro̱. Te koo ja̱ jíñú'ún‑ró jíín‑de. Ko nasu̱ máá ɨ́ɨn nuu̱ cháa va̱'a ini̱, jíín núu̱ cháa mani̱ jíín‑ró, chi̱ suni súan sá'a‑ró jíín cháa xaa̱n iní.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Chi̱ ɨɨn cha̱a va̱sa tú sá'a‑de tiñu ñáá, nú jíto‑de tu̱ndó'o sɨkɨ̱ já skíkuu va̱'a‑de jíín Dios, yu̱án kúu ja̱ kúsɨɨ̱ iní‑ya̱ jíín‑de sá'a‑ún.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Ko nú kásá'a ndija‑ró kuáchi, te kája̱'a‑i róó, te na̱ún ja̱ vá'a kúu nú kája̱ndéé iní‑ro̱ jíín. Ko nú kásá'a‑ró tíñu va̱'a, te káxndó'o‑i róó, te kája̱ndéé iní‑ro̱ jíín, tiñu yá'a kúu ja̱ kúsɨɨ̱ ndíja ini̱ Dios sá'a.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Chi ja̱ yúán ní kana‑ya̱ xiní‑ro̱ jíná'an‑ró. Chi̱ máá Cristo, suni ni̱ ndo'o‑ya̱ já sɨkɨ́ yóó. Te ni̱ skéndo̱o‑ya̱ ɨ́ɨn ejemplo nuu̱‑yo̱ náva̱'a ná kúndiki̱n‑ro̱ súni ichi ní sá'a‑ya̱.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Te máá‑yá, tú ní sá'a‑ya̱ kuáchi. Ni tú ní kénda tu̱'un xndá'ú yu'u‑yá.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Ni̱ kaka'a̱n ndɨva̱'a‑i jíín‑yá, ko tú ní náka'a̱n ndɨva̱'a‑ya̱. Ni̱ ndo'o‑ya̱, ko tú ní stá'a̱n‑ya̱‑í, chi̱ sua ni̱ chi'i‑ya̱ máá‑yá nda'a Dios, I'a̱ sándaa̱ va̱'a ta̱ká tiñu.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Suni máá‑yá, ni̱ ji'i̱‑ya̱ jiká cruz, te ni̱ ndi̱so‑ya̱ kuáchi‑yó jíín yíkɨ kúñu‑ya̱. Chi̱ a ni̱ ka̱ku‑yó chíi kua̱chi náva̱'a kaka ndaa̱‑yo̱. Chi ni̱ tuji̱‑yá, te ja̱ yúán ní ka̱nduva̱'a‑ró.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Chi ni̱ ka̱jicha̱ nu̱u‑ró nátu̱'un rɨɨ̱, ko vina a káno'o̱n‑ro̱ núu̱ I'a̱ ndíto róó, te ini̱ nda'a máá‑yá yí'i añú‑ro̱.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
