3 Ábi kina wá, tapakurnaatapa emtakire á Yaakadada?
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Sawmbare á sezeŋara. Aɗaba ŋane nákwá na á vante shifa ge ura. Velyaranvevelye emnde, a ba itare: Nákwá na laake, amá a eksesaa Dadaamiya, jauje ge nákwá-aha umele baɗemme an daradza.

5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Aɗaba aŋkwa an puwa am wakita á Dadaamiya, a ba ŋane:
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Daaci ázekure na fakurtarfe áte ŋane na wá, nákwá ŋanna an daradza jipu. Amá emnde na fartarka áte ŋane na wá, estuweka. Aɗaba a ba wakita á Dadaamiya:
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 A baa ba wakita á Dadaamiya ŋanna zlaɓe ádaliye:
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Daaci kure wá, kwa jeba na a dzerakursaa Dadaamiya, kwa *liman-aha á Slekse ƴaikke, kwa nalga cuɗeɗɗe na kwá átuge Dadaamiya. 9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Werre wá, ndza kwa emnde a Dadaamiya ka, amá kina wá, gakurevge emnde a Dadaamiya. Werre wá, ndza zakurvarka Dadaamiya, amá kina wá, aŋkwa á zakurvarze.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Egdzar mama-aha-aaruwa, am duniya na wá, kwa ba wayve-aha, kwá njá ba ge sarte cekwaaŋguɗi. Aɗaba una ŋanna, taslawa á kure, magauka názena á kataná ire á kure mazla-aara, á keɗákurá ba una ŋanna.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Zláláva á kure a gevge shagera am dagave á emnde na ɓaaka nadina-aatare na. Daaci estuwa, ma ta fakuraa áte kwa emnde a mandzawe keni, ta de diyeddiye geni ndza ɓaaka haypa á kure, daaci tá de gala Dadaamiya vacite na má watse daraada ákatafke-aara.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Kure emnde na ɗabakurteɗaba Yaakadada á miya Yaisu *Almasiihu wá, faufa zherwe áte emnde na tá an hákuma am duniya na baɗemme. Faufa zherwe áte male á larde á Rauma, aɗaba ire ba ŋane arge male-aha umele baɗemme.

14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Kure wá, Dadaamiya á kátá kwá maga ba shagerire kina, geni a sharanka ŋguɗi-aha na ɓaaka názu ta disaa itare na ndaha elva mandzawe áte kure ɗekiɗeki.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Kina wá, kwá kwaraná ba kure ire á kure, njawinja ba estuwa. Amá am kwárá ire á kure ŋanna wá, bawánka zlaɓe am ervauŋɗe á kure geni kwá dzegwándzegwa mága mandzawire keni. Gawevge emnde a slera á Dadaamiya.

18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Máki ɓashakuruɓashe zlaɗa aɗaba Dadaamiya, gavka aɗaba haypa á kure wá, magakurnaamaga názena á kataná Dadaamiya.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Amá má gakuruge haypa lauktu tá jakurá aɗaba ŋane wá, ma kwa ɓashu zlaɗa keni, ɓaaka ura á galakurgálá ɗekiɗeki. Máki kwa ɓashu já aɗaba shagerire, aley kwa naba eksarhe wá, á vante higa ge Dadaamiya.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Dadaamiya a ɗaakur ba ge una ŋanna. Aɗaba *Almasiihu keni shaushe zlaɗa aɗaba kure. An zlaɗa-aara ŋanna wá, á marakurá ba garava á nja, geni kwá ɗabaná á ba áte náza-aara.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Ŋane wá, maganaaka haypa ɗekiɗeki, cenaránka elva a fida am mbuwe-aara.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Ŋane wá, ma zlazlarvaazlazle emnde keni, eptsaternaaka an zlazle ɗekiɗeki. Ndza ta shanu zlaɗa kwakya, amá a ɗu ba we-aara, a fetaare á ba an Dadaamiya ŋane Edda á shairiya jirire.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Daaci a lyamivaare ba Almasiihu an ire-aara haypa-aha ge miya, a emtsa an ŋane áte dzaŋgala. A magaa una ŋanna geni mí gevge ba seke má an emtsa áza haypa, amá má á ba an shifa á miya ge mága jirire. Aɗaba ververe-aha-aara, kure mbakuraambe.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Werre wá, ndza kwa ba seke kyawe-aha na keɗarkeɗa na, amá kina wá, sakuraasa, kwá am erva á Suni á piyakurá ŋane, ɓaaka názu á geja shifa á kure ɗekiɗeki.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
