2 having witnessed your pure conversation {carried out} in fear;
3 Pa' e'sinyejeyi'ƚ hasu'uj qu' ewi'ƚe'ƚe ha'ne i'nfik'i, axe'm na'aj ƚ'eniƚi' ne' ewkujitsi'ƚ i'nƚi'i ne'ej oro qu' eka'xi'ƚkii qa i'nƚi'i ne'ej eqhinatayi'ƚ inyetets
3 whose adorning let it not be that outward one of tressing of hair, and wearing gold, or putting on apparel;
4 qe pa' te'weiju' hik pakha' pa' inakhaa'ija qa nite' yili'ij yijat'ij qu' ewi'ƚ espirituye' nite' weniwqinhet qa ikesimenƚekii iye, ma' qa pa' Intata qa hik ha'ne yijat'ij in ƚe'wisi'm.
4 but the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible {ornament} of a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is of great price.
5 Qe hik ƚunyejei iye pa'aj toxik'i pekhewe' efuts'ik'i in yijayaanija pa' Intata qa nite' yeqeku' iye, qa nite' weniwqinhetji' qa ikesimenƚekii iye, ma' qa tek'enets qa yiwqinhetji' iye pe' ƚewhe'yets.
5 For thus also the holy women who have hoped in God heretofore adorned themselves, being subject to their own husbands;
6 Hik aka' ƚunye'j pa'aj pe' Sara pekhe'en qa yit'ijets pa' ƚewhe'ye' Abraham: —Yatsat'axyij.— Qa ekheweli'ƚ efuts enene'eƚ pekhe'en, in ƚaqsiiƚijkii pa' ƚe'wis qa' hasu'uj pa'qu' e'nijiwe'yiju'ƚ.
6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord; whose children ye have become, doing good, and not fearing with any kind of consternation.
7 Qa ekheweli'ƚ jukhew witiwhe'yets, me'neni'ƚi'ha qu' enq'eleti'ƚij pe' ewhe'yeli'ƚ qa' jeƚi'ƚets iye, qe ƚekhewel hik ƚunyejei na'aj wasu nite' t'un, qa hik ta'ƚijupi' qu' iwqinheti'ƚji' qe ƚekhewel iye in yijayan pa' Intata qa' netestiijiijek hatse' pe'qu' ƚiƚaxitse' in ejunyejeyi'ƚek, hats'inha pe'qu' iyinheyejeyi'iƚ qa' ham pa'qu' nothetik'ui.
7 {Ye} husbands likewise, dwell with {them} according to knowledge, as with a weaker, {even} the female, vessel, giving {them} honour, as also fellow-heirs of {the} grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.
8 Ma' hayits, aka'an qu' hit'iƚij ewets. Week ekheweli'ƚ ewi'ƚ pa'qu' aqjamtikineyejeyi'iƚkii, eq'iltinhetsi'iƚ, mewetsu'uni'ƚha qu' hik ƚunye'je' qu' e'witjefeyeek'i'iƚha, eq'iftitsinhetsi'iƚ, hasu'uj meniwqinheti'ƚ.

9 Hasu'uj aqa'tja'yi'ƚij pa'qu' naqsi'ji'ƚ e'mijkii pa'qu' uƚ'axe'. Hasu'uj aqa'tja'yi'ƚik'i pe'qu' uƚ'etsi'ik'i qu' nenit'iƚij ewets, iyini'ƚipji'kii yijat'ij pekhewe'en hats'inha qa' ni'fen pa' Intata, qe aka'an hik aka' ƚ'eniyayiƚijii qe qa'nte' niliyi'ij qu' e'fenhetiyi'ƚ.
9 not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing {others}, because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.
10 Qe ke' we'nika'ajji' yit'ij: —Pakha' qu' nisu'un qu' nana'l ƚeqsu'unkaxi'ijji' pa' witiƚa'x qa yisu'un iye qu' ham peeyi'ijkii pe'qu' ƚeqe neƚutse', qa' nitkelenhetik'uiju' pa' uƚ'ax pa'qu' ƚelepepe', qa pa' ƚeji' qa' hasu'uj nit'ij pa' witwejtitsi'.
10 For he that will love life and see good days, let him cause his tongue to cease from evil and his lips that they speak no guile.
11 Ili'iƚij in ƚaqsi'ji'ƚijkii pa' uƚ'ax qa' aqsiiƚijkii pa' ƚe'wis, mowo'oƚiikii pa' wit'ikesimeya'x qa' ijayani'ƚpha'm.
11 And let him avoid evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it;
12 Qe pe' ƚotoi pa' Yatsat'ax'inij yejeƚju' pe' yatsathen, qa pe' ƚekfii qa tek'enik'uikiiha pe' ƚ'iyinheyejei, qa pakha'ƚe ƚeju's qa t'ejuyiju'ƚ pe' yaqsiijkii pa' uƚ'ax.—(Sal 34:12-16)
12 because {the} eyes of {the} Lord {are} on {the} righteous, and his ears towards their supplications; but {the} face of {the} Lord {is} against them that do evil.
13 Qa hik ta'ƚijupi' ¿ƚekpa' qu' ƚeke'ye' qu' naqsi'ji'ƚ e'mijkii pa'qu' uƚ'axe' qu' ewi'ƚe'ƚe qu' inq'ethini'ƚij pa'qu' ƚe'wise'?
13 And who shall injure you if ye have become imitators of that which {is} good?
14 Qa ƚeke'ƚe iye qu' aats'e'eƚij pe'ye' qu' nata'ƚets in ƚatsatheni'ƚ, qa e'ƚe'sitsƚi'iƚi'mkii. Qa hik ta'ƚijupi' hasu'uj e'nijiwe'yi'ƚik'i pa'qu' nijiweikittaxiƚijkii pekhewe'en qa hasu'uj iye qu' qi qu' natawje'meteni'ƚ.(Is 8:12)
14 E até sereis felizes, se padecerdes alguma coisa por causa da justiça!
15 Eni' yijat'ij qu' natsat'axij pa' atawe'j ha' Cristo, matjanitheni'ƚ hats'inha qu' aq'axitsi'i'ƚ qu' eku'ƚi'ƚiju'ƚ week pa'qu' nafaakani'ƚij in t'ejuyets pa' ewetjumtikineyejeyi'ƚkii,
15 Portanto, não temais as suas ameaças e não vos turbeis. Antes santificai em vossos corações Cristo, o Senhor. Estai sempre prontos a responder para vossa defesa a todo aquele que vos pedir a razão de vossa esperança, mas fazei-o com suavidade e respeito.

16 Tende uma consciência reta a fim de que, mesmo naquilo em que dizem mal de vós, sejam confundidos os que desacreditam o vosso santo procedimento em Cristo.
17 Qe pa' Intata qu' nisu'un, qa les in ƚe'wisijupi' qu' jintaats'e'ej pe'ye' qu' nata'ƚets in jitaqsiijkii pa' ƚe'wis, qa nite' hik ƚunye'j qu' jintaats'e'ej pe'ye' qu' nata'ƚets in jitaqsiijkii pa' uƚ'ax.
17 Aliás, é melhor padecer, se Deus assim o quiser, por fazer o bem do que por fazer o mal.
18 Qe ƚakha' iye ha' Cristo yaq'alij iye pe' inwuƚ'ets, qa hats ewi'ƚƚi'ij nite' ƚeke' qu' niyeket iye. Yatsathen wa'mifi pe' nite' yatsathen, qe qa' jineka'xii pa' Intata, hats wa'mtax qa iƚa'xƚe iye qe ta'ƚets pa' Espíritu Santo.
18 Pois também Cristo morreu uma vez pelos nossos pecados - o Justo pelos injustos - para nos conduzir a Deus. Padeceu a morte em sua carne, mas foi vivificado quanto ao espírito.

19 É neste mesmo espírito que ele foi pregar aos espíritos que eram detidos no cárcere, àqueles que outrora, nos dias de Noé, tinham sido rebeldes,
20 hik pekhewe' pakha' ƚahats'ij pa'aj nite' nek'enheyu'ets pa' Intata, qa pa' Intata qa notkitaxets pekhewe'en nite' itaqsuntaxijup, qa pakha'ƚe Noé qa hatsi qa i'niji' ek pa'aj in yaqsiijkiiyek pe' tokoyei, hik pekhe' ujaa'x pe' i'nji'ju'kii, wetshetk'ewi'ƚ tatsaiƚe (8) qa hik pekhewe' qa iƚii in yeka'x pa' iweli'.
20 quando Deus aguardava com paciência, enquanto se edificava a arca, na qual poucas pessoas, isto é, apenas oito se salvaram através da água.
21 Pa' qi iweli' in yeka'x pekhewe'en, wetjeyumtshenijupi' in ƚempuliji'ƚijju' ka' ƚii ha' Jesucristo qa hats neƚini'ƚ, qa nite'ƚe hik ƚunye'j in ƚempulijƚi'iƚ in ƚempuliji'ƚijju' ka' ƚii ha' Jesucristo, qe ikji' yijat'ij in jutsiqaxij in hats tetli'jju' pe' inwuƚ'ets, qe ta'ƚijupi' ha' Jesucristo in iƚa'x iye,
21 Esta água prefigurava o batismo de agora, que vos salva também a vós, não pela purificação das impurezas do corpo, mas pela que consiste em pedir a Deus uma consciência boa, pela ressurreição de Jesus Cristo.
22 hikha' wapiletspha'm na' wa's qa i'niju' pa' yiya'yik'i pa' Intata, qa hikha' iye hats t'anipji' pe' week pe' angelits, pe' tenek'enhei na' wa'sji' qa ha'ne sehe' epji' iye qa pe' witt'unhaxits na' wa'sji' qa ha'ne sehe' epji' iye.
22 Esse Jesus Cristo, tendo subido ao céu, está assentado à direita de Deus, depois de ter recebido a submissão dos anjos, dos principados e das potestades.
