1 A Michtham of David. Preserve me, O God; for I have placed my trust in thee.
1 Guarda-me, ó Deus, porque em ti confio.
2 O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my happiness is not without thee;
2 A minha alma disse ao Senhor : Tu és o meu Senhor; não tenho outro bem além de ti.
3 But in the saints who are on the earth, and in the excellentin them is all my delight.
3 Digo aos santos que estão na terra e aos ilustres em quem está todo o meu prazer:
4 Multiplied shall be the sorrows of those who give presents to another god: I will not pour out their drinkofferings of blood, nor bear their names upon my lips.
4 As dores se multiplicarão àqueles que fazem oferendas a outro deus; eu não oferecerei as suas libações de sangue, nem tomarei o seu nome nos meus lábios.
5 Thou, O Lord, art the portion of my inheritance, and my cup; thou hast drawn my lot.
5 O Senhor é a porção da minha herança e o meu cálice; tu sustentas a minha sorte.
6 My possessions are fallen in agreeable places: yea, my heritage is pleasant to me.
6 As linhas caem-me em lugares deliciosos; sim, coube-me uma formosa herança.
7 I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: also in the night seasons my reins admonish me.
7 Louvarei ao Senhor que me aconselhou; até o meu coração me ensina de noite.
8 I have always set the Lord before me, that, being at my right hand, I might not be moved.
8 Tenho posto o Senhor continuamente diante de mim; por isso que ele está à minha mão direita, nunca vacilarei.
9 Therefore is rejoiced my heart, and my spirit is glad: also my flesh shall rest in safety.
9 Portanto, está alegre o meu coração e se regozija a minha glória; também a minha carne repousará segura.
10 For thou wilt not abandon my soul to the grave: thou wilt not suffer thy pious servant to see corruption.
10 Pois não deixarás a minha alma no inferno, nem permitirás que o teu Santo veja corrupção.
11 Thou wilt let me know the path of life: fulness of joy is in thy presence; pleasures are at thy right hand for evermore.
11 Far-me-ás ver a vereda da vida; na tua presença há abundância de alegrias; à tua mão direita há delícias perpetuamente.
