1 And the rulers of the people dwelt at Jerusalem: and the rest of the people cast lots, to bring one of every ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and the nine parts to remain in the other cities.
1 Os líderes do povo passaram a morar em Jerusalém, a cidade santa. Um décimo do povo das outras cidades foi escolhido por sorteio para morar lá também, enquanto o restante permaneceu onde estava.
2 And the people blessed all the men, that offered themselves voluntarily to dwell at Jerusalem.
2 O povo abençoou todos que se ofereceram para morar em Jerusalém.
3 Now these are the chiefs of the province that dwelt in Jerusalem; but in the cities of Judah dwelt every one in his possession in their cities, to wit, Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the temple–servants, and the children of Solomon’s servants.

4 And at Jerusalem dwelt certain of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin. Of the children of Judah: ‘Athayah the son of ‘Uzziyah, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amaryah, the son of Shephatyah, the son of Mahalalel, of the children of Perez:
4 mas alguns do povo de Judá e de Benjamim se mudaram para Jerusalém. Da tribo de Judá: Ataías, filho de Uzias, filho de Zacarias, filho de Amarias, filho de Sefatias, filho de Maalaleel, da descendência de Perez;
5 And Ma’asseyah the son of Baruch, the son of Kol–chozeh, the son of Chazayah, the son of ‘Adayah, the son of Joyarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of Hashiloni;
5 também Maaseias, filho de Baruque, filho de Col-Hozé, filho de Hazaías, filho de Adaías, filho de Joiaribe, filho de Zacarias, da família de Selá.
6 All the sons of Perez that dwelt at Jerusalem were four hundred sixty and eight valiant men.
6 Dos descendentes de Perez, 468 foram morar em Jerusalém. Eram todos homens valorosos.
7 And these are the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Jo’ed, the son of Pedayah, the son of Kolayah, the son of Ma’asseyah, the son of Ithiel, the son of Jessha’yah;
7 Da tribo de Benjamim: Salu, filho de Mesulão, filho de Joede, filho de Pedaías, filho de Colaías, filho de Maaseias, filho de Itiel, filho de Jesaías;
8 And next to him Gabbai, Sallai; nine hundred twenty and eight.

9 And Joel the son of Zichri was overseer over them; and Judah the son of Hassenuah was second over the city.
9 O chefe deles era Joel, filho de Zicri, auxiliado por Judá, filho de Hassenua, o segundo no comando da cidade.
10 Of the priests: Jedayah the son of Joyarib, Jachin:

11 Serayah the son of Chilkiyah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Merayoth, the son of Achitub, the superintendent of the house of God;
11 e Seraías, filho de Hilquias, filho de Mesulão, filho de Zadoque, filho de Meraiote, filho de Aitube, principal encarregado do templo de Deus;
12 And their brethren who did the work of the house, eight hundred twenty and two; and ‘Adayah the son of Jerocham, the son of Pelalyah, the son of Amzi, the son of Zechariah, the son of Pashchur, the son of Malkiyah;
12 também 822 colegas que serviam no templo; Adaías, filho de Jeroão, filho de Pelalias, filho de Anzi, filho de Zacarias, filho de Pasur, filho de Malquias,
13 And his brethren, chiefs of the divisions, two hundred forty and two; and ‘Amashsai the son of ‘Azarel, the son of Achsai, the son of Meshillemoth, the son of Immer;
13 junto com 242 colegas, chefes de suas famílias; e ainda Amassai, filho de Azareel, filho de Azai, filho de Mesilemote, filho de Imer,
14 And their brethren, mighty men of valor, one hundred twenty and eight; and the overseer over them was Zabdiel, the son of Haggedolim.
14 e 128 de seus colegas, homens valorosos. O chefe deles era Zabdiel, filho de Gedolim.
15 Also of the Levites: Shema’yah the son of Chasshub, the son of ‘Azrikam, the son of Chashabyah, the son of Bunni;
15 Dos levitas: Semaías, filho de Hassube, filho de Azricam, filho de Hasabias, filho de Buni;
16 And Shabbethai and Jozabad, of the chiefs of the Levites, had the oversight of the outward business of the house of God;
16 também Sabetai e Jozabade, líderes dos levitas, encarregados do trabalho fora do templo de Deus;
17 And Matthaniah the son of Micha, the son of Zabdi, the son of Assaph, the principal to begin the thanksgiving at prayer; and Bakbukyah the second among his brethren and ‘Abda the son of Shammua’, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun.
17 e ainda Matanias, filho de Mica, filho de Zabdi, descendente de Asafe, que dirigia as ação de graças e as orações; também Baquebuquias, assistente de Matanias, e Abda, filho de Samua, filho de Galal, filho de Jedutum.
18 All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred eighty and four.
18 Havia ao todo 284 levitas na cidade santa.
19 And the gatekeepers, Akkub, Talmon and their brethren that watched at the gates, were one hundred seventy and two.
19 Dos guardas das portas: Acube e Talmom e 172 colegas que guardavam as portas.
20 And the residue of Israel, of the priests, and the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, every one in his inheritance.
20 Os outros sacerdotes e levitas e o restante dos israelitas moravam cada um na propriedade de sua família nas outras cidades de Judá.
21 But the temple–servants dwelt in the hill–fort; and Zicha and Gishpa were over the temple–servants.
21 Mas os servidores do templo, sob a liderança de Zia e Gispa, moravam todos na colina de Ofel.
22 And the overseer of the Levites at Jerusalem was ‘Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Chashabyah, the son of Matthanyah, the son of Micha, one of the sons of Assaph, the singers, over the business of the house of God.
22 O chefe dos levitas em Jerusalém era Uzi, filho de Bani, filho de Hasabias, filho de Matanias, filho de Mica, descendente de Asafe. Os membros da família de Asafe eram cantores no templo de Deus.
23 For the king’s command was obligatory on them; and there was a fixed rate for the singers, the requirement of every day on its day.
23 Exerciam suas responsabilidades diárias de acordo com os termos de uma ordem do rei.
24 And Pethachyah the son of Meshezabel, of the children of Zerach the son of Judah, was at the king’s hand in every thing concerning the people.
24 Petaías, filho de Mesezabel, descendente de Zera, filho de Judá, era o conselheiro do rei em todos os assuntos referentes ao povo.
25 And respecting the villages with their fields, some of the children of Judah dwelt at Kiryath–arba’ and in its villages, and at Dibon and in its villages, and at Jekabzeel and in its villages.
25 Quanto aos povoados vizinhos, com seus campos, alguns do povo de Judá foram morar em Quiriate-Arba e seus povoados, em Dibom e seus povoados e em Jecabzeel e seus povoados.
26 And at Jeshua’, and at Moladah, and at Beth–phelet,
26 Também foram morar em Jesua, em Moladá, em Bete-Palete,
27 And at Chazar–shu’al, and at Beer–sheba’ and in its villages,
27 em Hazar-Sual, em Berseba e seus povoados,
28 And at Ziklag, and at Mechonah and in its villages,
28 em Ziclague e em Meconá e seus povoados.
29 And at ‘En–rimmon, and at Zor’ah, and at Yarmuth,
29 E ainda, em En-Rimom, em Zorá, em Jarmute,
30 Zanoach, ‘Adullam, and in their villages, at Lachish and its fields, at ‘Azekah and in its villages. And they dwelt from Beer–sheba’ as far as the valley of Hinnom.
30 em Zanoa e em Adulão e seus povoados, em Laquis, com seus campos, e em Azeca e seus povoados. Assim, o povo de Judá se estabeleceu desde Berseba, no sul, até o vale de Hinom.
31 And the children of Benjamin dwelt, beginning from Geba’, at Michmash, and ‘Ay–ya, and Beth–el, and in their villages,
31 Alguns do povo de Benjamim foram morar em Geba, em Micmás, em Aia e em Betel e seus povoados.
32 ‘Anathoth, Nob, ‘Ananyah,
32 Também foram morar em Anatote, em Nobe, em Ananias,
33 Chazor, Ramah, Gittayim.
33 em Hazor, em Ramá, em Gitaim,
34 Chadid, Zebo’im, Neballat,
34 em Hadide, em Zeboim, em Nebalate,
35 Lod, and Ono, the valley of the carpenters.
35 em Lode, em Ono e em Ge-Harasim.
36 And of the Levites dwelt certain divisions in Judah, and in Benjamin.
36 Alguns dos levitas que viviam em Judá foram morar com a tribo de Benjamim.
