1 And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
1 Então o S enhor disse a Moisés:
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am the Lord your God.
2 “Dê as seguintes instruções ao povo de Israel. Eu sou o S enhor , seu Deus.
3 After the doings of the Land of Egypt, wherein ye have dwelt, shall ye not do; and after the doings of the land of Canaan whither I am bringing you, shall ye not do; and in their customs shall ye not walk.
3 Portanto, não se comportem como o povo do Egito, onde vocês viviam, nem como o povo de Canaã, para onde os estou levando. Não imitem o estilo de vida deles.
4 My ordinances shall ye do, and my statutes shall ye keep, to walk therein: I am the Lord your God.
4 Obedeçam aos meus estatutos e cumpram os meus decretos, pois eu sou o S enhor , seu Deus.
5 And ye shall keep my statutes, and my ordinances, which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the Lord.
5 Sim, obedeçam aos meus decretos e aos meus estatutos; quem os praticar viverá por eles. Eu sou o S enhor .
6 None of you shall approach to any that are near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the Lord.
6 “Jamais tenha relações sexuais com uma parenta próxima, pois eu sou o S enhor .
7 The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
7 “Não desonre seu pai, tendo relações sexuais com sua mãe. Ela é sua mãe; não tenha relações sexuais com ela.
8 The nakedness of thy fathers wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy fathers nakedness.
8 “Não tenha relações sexuais com nenhuma das esposas de seu pai, pois isso desonraria seu pai.
9 The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or the daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad,even the nakedness of any of these shalt thou not uncover.
9 “Não tenha relações sexuais com sua irmã ou meia-irmã, filha de seu pai ou de sua mãe, nascida em sua casa ou em outra casa.
10 The nakedness of thy sons daughter, or of thy daughters daughter,even the nakedness of any of these, shalt thou not uncover; for theirs is thy own nakedness.
10 “Não tenha relações sexuais com sua neta, filha de seu filho ou de sua filha, pois com isso você desonraria a si mesmo.
11 The nakedness of thy fathers wifes daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister,thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
11 “Não tenha relações sexuais com a filha de nenhuma das esposas de seu pai, pois ela é sua irmã.
12 The nakedness of thy fathers sister shalt thou not uncover: she is thy fathers near kinswoman.
12 “Não tenha relações sexuais com sua tia, irmã de seu pai, pois ela é parenta próxima de seu pai.
13 The nakedness of thy mothers sister shalt thou not uncover; for she is thy mothers near kinswoman.
13 “Não tenha relações sexuais com sua tia, irmã de sua mãe, pois ela é parenta próxima de sua mãe.
14 The akedness of thy fathers brother shalt thou not uncover: his wife shalt thou not approach, she is thy aunt.
14 “Não desonre seu tio, irmão de seu pai, tendo relações sexuais com a mulher dele, pois ela é sua tia.
15 The nakedness of thy daughterinlaw shalt thou not uncover: she is thy sons wife, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
15 “Não tenha relações sexuais com sua nora; ela é mulher de seu filho, de modo que você não deve ter relações sexuais com ela.
16 The nakedness of thy brothers wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy brothers nakedness.
16 “Não tenha relações sexuais com a mulher de seu irmão, pois desonraria seu irmão.
17 The nakedness of a woman and her daughter shalt thou not uncover: her sons daughter, or her daughters daughter shalt thou not take, to uncover her nakedness; for they are near kinswomen; it is incest.
17 “Não tenha relações sexuais com uma mulher e a filha dela. E não tome a neta dela, filha do filho ou da filha dela, e tenha relações sexuais com ela, pois são parentas próximas. Isso é perversão.
18 And a woman together with her sister shalt thou not take, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other, in her lifetime.
18 “Enquanto sua esposa estiver viva, não se case nem tenha relações sexuais com a irmã dela, pois elas se tornariam rivais.
19 And a woman in the separation of her uncleanness shalt thou not approach, to uncover her nakedness.
19 “Não tenha relações sexuais com uma mulher durante o período de impureza menstrual dela.
20 And with thy neighbors wife shalt thou not lie carnally, to defile thyself with her.
20 “Não tenha relações sexuais com a mulher do seu próximo, contaminando-se com ela.
21 And any of thy seed shalt thou not let pass through the fire to Molech, and thou shalt not profane the name of thy God: I am the Lord.
21 “Não permita que nenhum de seus filhos seja oferecido como sacrifício a Moloque. Não desonre o nome do seu Deus. Eu sou o S enhor .
22 And with a man shalt thou not lie, as with a woman: it is an abomination.
22 “Não pratique a homossexualidade, tendo relações sexuais com outro homem como se fosse com uma mulher. Isso é detestável.
23 And with any beast shalt thou not lie to defile thyself therewith; neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.
23 “Homem nenhum deve se contaminar tendo relações sexuais com um animal. E mulher nenhuma deve se oferecer para um animal macho para ter relações com ele. Isso é depravação.
24 Do not defile yourselves through any of these things.; for through all these have become defiled the nations which I cast out before you:
24 “Não se contaminem de nenhuma dessas formas, pois os povos que expulsarei da presença de vocês se contaminaram com todas essas práticas.
25 And the land became defiled; wherefore I have visited its iniquity upon it, and the land itself vomited out its inhabitants.
25 Uma vez que a terra toda foi contaminada, castigarei seus habitantes. Farei a terra vomitá-los.
26 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my ordinances, and ye shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor the stranger that sojourneth among you;
26 Obedeçam aos meus decretos e aos meus estatutos. Não cometam nenhum desses atos detestáveis. Isso se aplica tanto aos israelitas de nascimento como aos estrangeiros que vivem entre vocês.
27 (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, who were before you, and the land hath become defiled;)
27 “Todos esses atos detestáveis são praticados pelos povos da terra para onde eu os estou levando, e foi assim que a terra ficou contaminada.
28 That the land may not vomit you out also, when ye defile it, as it hath vomited out the nations that were before you.
28 Por isso, não contaminem a terra e não lhe deem motivo para vomitá-los, como fará com os povos que agora vivem ali.
29 For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.
29 Quem cometer algum desses pecados detestáveis será eliminado do meio do povo.
30 Therefore shall ye keep my charge, so that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye do not defile yourselves therewith: I am the Lord your God.
30 Portanto, obedeçam às minhas instruções e não se contaminem por adotar alguma dessas práticas detestáveis dos povos que viveram na terra antes de vocês. Eu sou o S enhor , seu Deus”.
