1 Now these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom.
1 Este é o relato dos descendentes de Esaú (também chamado Edom).
2 Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite;
2 Esaú se casou com duas moças de Canaã: Ada, filha de Elom, o hitita, e Oolibama, filha de Aná e neta de Zibeão, o heveu.
3 And Bahsemath Ishmael’s daughter, the sister of Nebayoth.
3 Também se casou com sua prima Basemate, que era filha de Ismael e irmã de Nebaiote.
4 And Adah bore to Esau Eliphaz; and Bahsemath bore Reuel;
4 Ada deu à luz um filho chamado Elifaz. Basemate deu à luz um filho chamado Reuel.
5 And Aholibamah bore Yeush, and Ya’lam, and Korach: these are the sons of Esau, that were born unto him in the land Canaan.
5 Oolibama deu à luz filhos chamados Jeús, Jalão e Corá. Todos esses filhos nasceram a Esaú na terra de Canaã.
6 And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which he had gotten in the land of Canaan; and went into another country from the face of his brother Jacob.
6 Esaú tomou suas mulheres, seus filhos e filhas e todos os de sua casa, além de seus rebanhos e o gado, toda a riqueza que havia adquirido na terra de Canaã, e se mudou para longe de seu irmão, Jacó.
7 For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land of their sojourning could not bear them, because of their cattle.
7 Seus rebanhos e bens eram tantos que a terra onde moravam não era suficiente para sustentá-los.
8 Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.
8 Portanto, Esaú (também chamado Edom) se estabeleceu na região montanhosa de Seir.
9 And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edom in mount Seir.
9 Este é o relato dos descendentes de Esaú, os edomitas, que viviam na região montanhosa de Seir.
10 These are the names of Esau’s sons: Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the son of Bahsemath the wife of Esau.
10 Estes são os nomes dos filhos de Esaú: Elifaz, filho de Ada, mulher de Esaú; e Reuel, filho de Basemate, mulher de Esaú.
11 And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Ga’tam, and Kenaz.
11 Os descendentes de Elifaz foram: Temã, Omar, Zefô, Gaetã e Quenaz.
12 And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau’s son: and she bore to Eliphaz Amalek; these were the sons of Adah, Esau’s wife.
12 Timna, concubina de Elifaz, filho de Esaú, deu à luz um filho chamado Amaleque. Esses são os descendentes de Ada, mulher de Esaú.
13 And these are the sons of Reuel: Nachath, and Zerach, Shammah, and Mizzah; these were the sons of Bahsemath, Esau’s wife.
13 Os descendentes de Reuel foram: Naate, Zerá, Samá e Mizá. Esses são os descendentes de Basemate, mulher de Esaú.
14 And these were the sons of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon, Esau’s wife: and she bore to Esau Yeush, and Ya’lam, and Korach.
14 Esaú também teve filhos com Oolibama, filha de Aná, neta de Zibeão. Seus nomes eram: Jeús, Jalão e Corá.
15 These are the dukes of the sons of Esau; the sons of Eliphaz the first–born of Esau: duke Teman, duke Omar, duke Zepho, duke Kenaz,
15 Estes são os descendentes de Esaú que se tornaram chefes de vários clãs: Os descendentes de Elifaz, filho mais velho de Esaú, se tornaram chefes dos clãs de Temã, Omar, Zefô, Quenaz,
16 Duke Korach, duke Ga’tam, duke Amalek; these are the dukes of Eliphaz in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Adah.

17 And these are the sons of Reuel Esau’s son: duke Nachath, duke Zerach, duke Shammah, duke Mizzah; these are the dukes of Reuel in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Bahsemath, Esau’s wife.
17 Os descendentes de Reuel, filho de Esaú, se tornaram chefes dos clãs de Naate, Zaerá, Samá e Mizá. Esses são os chefes dos clãs descendentes de Reuel na terra de Edom. Todos eles foram descendentes de Basemate, mulher de Esaú.
18 And these are the sons of Aholibamah, Esau’s wife: duke Yeush, duke Ya’lam, duke Korach; these are the dukes of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau’s wife.
18 Os descendentes de Esaú e sua mulher Oolibama se tornaram os chefes dos clãs de Jeús, Jalão e Corá. Esses são os chefes dos clãs descendentes de Oolibama, mulher de Esaú, filha de Aná.
19 These are the sons of Esau, and these are their dukes; this is Edom.
19 Esses são os clãs que descenderam de Esaú (também chamado de Edom), cada um identificado pelo nome de seu chefe.
20 These are the sons of Seir the Chorite, who inhabited the land: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,
20 Estes são os nomes das tribos que descenderam de Seir, o horeu, que habitavam na terra de Edom: Lotã, Sobal, Zibeão e Aná,
21 And Dishon, and Etzer, and Dishan; these are the dukes of the Chorites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.
21 Disom, Ézer e Disã. Estes são os chefes dos clãs horeus, descendentes de Seir, que habitavam na terra de Edom.
22 And the children of Lotan were Chori and Heman; and Lotan’s sister was Timna.
22 Os descendentes de Lotã foram: Hori e Hemã. A irmã de Lotã se chamava Timna.
23 And these were the children of Shobal: Alvan, and Manachath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.
23 Os descendentes de Sobal foram: Alvã, Manaate, Ebal, Sefô e Onã.
24 And these are the children of Zibeon: both Ajah, and Anah; this was that Anah that found the mules in the wilderness, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his father.
24 Os descendentes de Zibeão foram: Aiá e Aná. (Foi este Aná que descobriu as fontes de águas quentes no deserto enquanto levava os jumentos de seu pai para pastar.)
25 And these are the children of Anah: Dishon, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah.

26 And these are the children of Dishan: Chemdan, and Eshban, and Yithran, and Cheran.
26 Os descendentes de Disom foram: Hendã, Esbã, Itrã e Querã.
27 These are the children of Etzer: Bilhan, Zaavan, and Akan.
27 Os descendentes de Ézer foram: Bilã, Zaavã e Acã.
28 These are the children of Dishan: Uz, and Aran.
28 Os descendentes de Disã foram Uz e Arã.
29 These are the dukes of the Chorites: duke Lotan, duke Shobal, duke Zibeon, duke Anah;
29 Estes, portanto, foram os chefes dos clãs horeus: Lotã, Sobal, Zibeão, Aná,
30 Duke Dishon, duke Etzer, duke Dishan; these are the dukes of the Chorites, after their dukes in the land of Seir.

31 And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over the children of Israel.
31 Estes são os reis que governaram na terra de Edom antes de os israelitas terem rei:
32 And there reigned in Edom Bela the son of Beor: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
32 Belá, filho de Beor, reinou em Edom, na cidade de Dinabá.
33 And Bela died, and there reigned in his stead Yobab the son of Zerach of Bozrah.
33 Quando Belá morreu, Jobabe, filho de Zerá, de Bozra, foi seu sucessor.
34 And Yobab died, and there reigned in his stead Chusham of the land of Teman.
34 Quando Jobabe morreu, Husã, da terra dos temanitas, foi seu sucessor.
35 And Chusham died, and there reigned in his stead Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab; and the name of his city was Avith.
35 Quando Husã morreu, Hadade, filho de Bedade, foi seu sucessor na cidade de Avite. Foi Hadade quem derrotou os midianitas na terra de Moabe.
36 And Hadad died, and there reigned in his stead Samlah of Masrekah.
36 Quando Hadade morreu, Samlá, da cidade de Masreca, foi seu sucessor.
37 And Samlah died, and there reigned in his stead Shaul of Rechoboth by the river.
37 Quando Samlá morreu, Saul, da cidade de Reobote, próxima ao Eufrates, foi seu sucessor.
38 And Shaul died, and there reigned in his stead Baal–chanan the son of Achbor.
38 Quando Saul morreu, Baal-Hanã, filho de Acbor, foi seu sucessor.
39 And Baal–chanan the son of Achbor died, and there reigned in his stead Hadar, and the name of his city was Pau; and his wife’s name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me–zahab.
39 Quando Baal-Hanã, filho de Acbor, morreu, Hadade foi seu sucessor na cidade de Paú. Sua mulher era Meetabel, filha de Matrede e neta de Mezaabe.
40 And these are the names of the dukes of Esau, according to their families, after their places, by their names: duke Timna, duke Alvah, duke Yetheth,
40 Estes são os nomes dos chefes dos clãs descendentes de Esaú, que habitavam nos lugares que têm seus nomes: Timna, Alvá, Jetete,
41 Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon.
41 Oolibama, Elá, Pinom,
42 Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,
42 Quenaz, Temã, Mibzar,
43 Duke Magdiel, duke Iram; these are the dukes of Edom, according to their habitations in the land of their possession: this is Esau the father of the Edom.
43 Magdiel e Irã. Esses são os chefes dos clãs de Edom, relacionados de acordo com seus assentamentos na terra que ocupavam. Todos eles foram descendentes de Esaú, antepassado dos edomitas.
