1 Now these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom.
1 Esta é a história da família de Esaú, que é Edom.
2 Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite;
2 Esaú casou-se com mulheres de Canaã: Ada, filha de Elom, o hitita, e Oolibama, filha de Aná e neta de Zibeão, o heveu;
3 And Bahsemath Ishmael’s daughter, the sister of Nebayoth.
3 e Basemate, filha de Ismael e irmã de Nebaiote.
4 And Adah bore to Esau Eliphaz; and Bahsemath bore Reuel;
4 Ada deu a Esaú um filho chamado Elifaz; Basemate deu-lhe Reuel;
5 And Aholibamah bore Yeush, and Ya’lam, and Korach: these are the sons of Esau, that were born unto him in the land Canaan.
5 e Oolibama deu-lhe Jeús, Jalão e Corá. Esses foram os filhos de Esaú que lhe nasceram em Canaã.
6 And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which he had gotten in the land of Canaan; and went into another country from the face of his brother Jacob.
6 Esaú tomou suas mulheres, seus filhos e filhas e todos os de sua casa, assim como os seus rebanhos, todos os outros animais e todos os bens que havia adquirido em Canaã, e foi para outra região, para longe do seu irmão Jacó.
7 For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land of their sojourning could not bear them, because of their cattle.
7 Os seus bens eram tantos que eles já não podiam morar juntos; a terra onde estavam vivendo não podia sustentá-los, por causa dos seus rebanhos.
8 Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.
8 Por isso Esaú, que é Edom, fixou-se nos montes de Seir.
9 And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edom in mount Seir.
9 Este é o registro da descendência de Esaú, pai dos edomitas, nos montes de Seir.
10 These are the names of Esau’s sons: Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the son of Bahsemath the wife of Esau.
10 Estes são os nomes dos filhos de Esaú: Elifaz, filho de Ada, mulher de Esaú; e Reuel, filho de Basemate, mulher de Esaú.
11 And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Ga’tam, and Kenaz.
11 Estes foram os filhos de Elifaz: Temã, Omar, Zefô, Gaetã e Quenaz.
12 And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau’s son: and she bore to Eliphaz Amalek; these were the sons of Adah, Esau’s wife.
12 Elifaz, filho de Esaú, tinha uma concubina chamada Timna, que lhe deu um filho chamado Amaleque. Foram esses os netos de Ada, mulher de Esaú.
13 And these are the sons of Reuel: Nachath, and Zerach, Shammah, and Mizzah; these were the sons of Bahsemath, Esau’s wife.
13 Estes foram os filhos de Reuel: Naate, Zerá, Samá e Mizá. Foram esses os netos de Basemate, mulher de Esaú.
14 And these were the sons of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon, Esau’s wife: and she bore to Esau Yeush, and Ya’lam, and Korach.
14 Estes foram os filhos de Oolibama, mulher de Esaú, filha de Aná e neta de Zibeão, os quais ela deu a Esaú: Jeús, Jalão e Corá.
15 These are the dukes of the sons of Esau; the sons of Eliphaz the first–born of Esau: duke Teman, duke Omar, duke Zepho, duke Kenaz,
15 Foram estes os chefes dentre os descendentes de Esaú: Os filhos de Elifaz, filho mais velho de Esaú: Temã, Omar, Zefô, Quenaz,
16 Duke Korach, duke Ga’tam, duke Amalek; these are the dukes of Eliphaz in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Adah.
16 Corá, Gaetã e Amaleque. Foram esses os chefes descendentes de Elifaz em Edom; eram netos de Ada.
17 And these are the sons of Reuel Esau’s son: duke Nachath, duke Zerach, duke Shammah, duke Mizzah; these are the dukes of Reuel in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Bahsemath, Esau’s wife.
17 Foram estes os filhos de Reuel, filho de Esaú: Os chefes Naate, Zerá, Samá e Mizá. Foram esses os chefes descendentes de Reuel em Edom; netos de Basemate, mulher de Esaú.
18 And these are the sons of Aholibamah, Esau’s wife: duke Yeush, duke Ya’lam, duke Korach; these are the dukes of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau’s wife.
18 Foram estes os filhos de Oolibama, mulher de Esaú: Os chefes Jeús, Jalão e Corá. Foram esses os chefes descendentes de Oolibama, mulher de Esaú, filha de Aná.
19 These are the sons of Esau, and these are their dukes; this is Edom.
19 Foram esses os filhos de Esaú, que é Edom, e esses foram os seus chefes.
20 These are the sons of Seir the Chorite, who inhabited the land: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,
20 Estes foram os filhos de Seir, o horeu, que estavam habitando aquela região: Lotã, Sobal, Zibeão e Aná,
21 And Dishon, and Etzer, and Dishan; these are the dukes of the Chorites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.
21 Disom, Eser e Disã. Esses filhos de Seir foram chefes dos horeus no território de Edom.
22 And the children of Lotan were Chori and Heman; and Lotan’s sister was Timna.
22 Estes foram os filhos de Lotã: Hori e Hemã. Timna era irmã de Lotã.
23 And these were the children of Shobal: Alvan, and Manachath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.
23 Estes foram os filhos de Sobal: Alvã, Manaate, Ebal, Sefô e Onã.
24 And these are the children of Zibeon: both Ajah, and Anah; this was that Anah that found the mules in the wilderness, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his father.
24 Estes foram os filhos de Zibeão: Aiá e Aná. Foi este Aná que descobriu as fontes de águas quentes no deserto, quando levava para pastar os jumentos de Zibeão, seu pai.
25 And these are the children of Anah: Dishon, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah.
25 Estes foram os filhos de Aná: Disom e Oolibama, a filha de Aná.
26 And these are the children of Dishan: Chemdan, and Eshban, and Yithran, and Cheran.
26 Estes foram os filhos de Disom: Hendã, Esbã, Itrã e Querã.
27 These are the children of Etzer: Bilhan, Zaavan, and Akan.
27 Estes foram os filhos de Eser: Bilã, Zaavã e Acã.
28 These are the children of Dishan: Uz, and Aran.
28 Estes foram os filhos de Disã: Uz e Arã.
29 These are the dukes of the Chorites: duke Lotan, duke Shobal, duke Zibeon, duke Anah;
29 Estes foram os chefes dos horeus: Lotã, Sobal, Zibeão, Aná,
30 Duke Dishon, duke Etzer, duke Dishan; these are the dukes of the Chorites, after their dukes in the land of Seir.
30 Disom, Eser e Disã. Esses foram os chefes dos horeus, de acordo com as suas divisões tribais na região de Seir.
31 And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over the children of Israel.
31 Estes foram os reis que reinaram no território de Edom antes de haver rei entre os israelitas:
32 And there reigned in Edom Bela the son of Beor: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
32 Belá, filho de Beor, reinou em Edom. Sua cidade chamava-se Dinabá.
33 And Bela died, and there reigned in his stead Yobab the son of Zerach of Bozrah.
33 Quando Belá morreu, foi sucedido por Jobabe, filho de Zerá, de Bozra.
34 And Yobab died, and there reigned in his stead Chusham of the land of Teman.
34 Jobabe morreu, e Husã, da terra dos temanitas, foi o seu sucessor.
35 And Chusham died, and there reigned in his stead Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab; and the name of his city was Avith.
35 Husã morreu, e Hadade, filho de Bedade, que tinha derrotado os midianitas na terra de Moabe, foi o seu sucessor. Sua cidade chamava-se Avite.
36 And Hadad died, and there reigned in his stead Samlah of Masrekah.
36 Hadade morreu, e Samlá de Masreca foi o seu sucessor.
37 And Samlah died, and there reigned in his stead Shaul of Rechoboth by the river.
37 Samlá morreu, e Saul, de Reobote, próxima ao Eufrates, foi o seu sucessor.
38 And Shaul died, and there reigned in his stead Baal–chanan the son of Achbor.
38 Saul morreu, e Baal-Hanã, filho de Acbor, foi o seu sucessor.
39 And Baal–chanan the son of Achbor died, and there reigned in his stead Hadar, and the name of his city was Pau; and his wife’s name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me–zahab.
39 Baal-Hanã, filho de Acbor, morreu, e Hadade foi o seu sucessor. Sua cidade chamava-se Paú, e o nome de sua mulher era Meetabel, filha de Matrede, neta de Mezaabe.
40 And these are the names of the dukes of Esau, according to their families, after their places, by their names: duke Timna, duke Alvah, duke Yetheth,
40 Estes foram os chefes descendentes de Esaú, conforme os seus nomes, clãs e regiões: Timna, Alva, Jetete,
41 Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon.
41 Oolibama, Elá, Pinom,
42 Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,
42 Quenaz, Temã, Mibzar,
43 Duke Magdiel, duke Iram; these are the dukes of Edom, according to their habitations in the land of their possession: this is Esau the father of the Edom.
43 Magdiel e Irã. Foram esses os chefes de Edom; cada um deles fixou-se numa região da terra que ocuparam. Os edomitas eram descendentes de Esaú.
