1 And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, on the tenth of the month, that Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon came, he, and all his host, against Jerusalem, and encamped against it; and they built a mound all around about it.
1 E sucedeu, no nono ano do seu reinado, no décimo mês, no décimo dia do mês, que Nabucodonosor, rei de Babilônia, ele e todo o seu exército, veio contra Jerusalém, acampou contra ela; e edificaram fortes ao seu redor.
2 And the city was put in a state of siege until the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.
2 E a cidade ficou sitiada até o décimo primeiro ano do rei Zedequias.
3 And on the ninth of the month, when the famine prevailed in the city, and there was no bread for the people of the land:
3 E no nono dia do quarto mês, a fome prevaleceu na cidade, e não houve pão para o povo da terra.
4 The city was broken into, and all the men of war fled in the night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the kings garden; while the Chaldeans were all round about the city;and the people went the way toward the plain.
4 E a cidade foi rompida, e todos os homens de guerra fugiram à noite pelo caminho do portão entre dois muros, o qual fica junto ao jardim do rei (ora, os caldeus estavam contra a cidade ao seu redor), e o rei foi pelo caminho em direção à planície.
5 And the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and overtook him in the plains of Jericho: and all his army were scattered from around him.
5 E o exército dos caldeus perseguiu o rei, e o alcançou na planície de Jericó; e todo o seu exército foi disperso dele.
6 And they seized the king, and brought him up to the king of Babylon to Riblah; and they called him to account.
6 Assim, eles pegaram o rei, e o fizeram subir até ao rei de Babilônia, a Ribla; e fizeram um julgamento dele.
7 And they slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and he blinded the eyes of Zedekiah, and bound him with fetters of brass, and carried him to Babylon.
7 E mataram os filhos de Zedequias diante dos seus olhos, e arrancaram os olhos de Zedequias, e o amarraram com grilhões de bronze, e o carregaram até Babilônia.
8 And in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, came Nebusaradan, the chief of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, unto Jerusalem:
8 E no quinto mês, no sétimo dia do mês, o qual é o décimo nono ano do rei Nabucodonosor, rei de Babilônia, veio Nebuzaradã, capitão da guarda, um servo do rei de Babilônia, até Jerusalém;
9 And he burnt the house of the Lord, and the kings house; also, all the houses of Jerusalem, and every great mans house burnt he with fire.
9 e ele queimou a casa do SENHOR, e a casa do rei, e todas as casas de Jerusalém, e a casa de todo homem distinto ele queimou com fogo.
10 And the walls of Jerusalem round about did all the army of the Chaldeans that were with the captain of the guard tear down.
10 E todo o exército dos caldeus, que estava com o capitão da guarda, pôs abaixo os muros ao redor de Jerusalém.
11 And the rest of the people that were left in the city, and the deserters that had run over to the king of Babylon, with the remnant of the multitude, did Nebusaradan the captain of the guard lead away into exile;
11 Ora, o restante do povo que foi deixado na cidade, e dos fugitivos que caíram diante do rei de Babilônia, com o remanescente da multidão, Nebuzaradã, o capitão da guarda, levou consigo.
12 But from the poorest of the land the captain of the guard left some to be vinedressers and husbandmen.
12 Porém, o capitão da guarda deixou os pobres da terra para serem vinhateiros e lavradores.
13 And the pillars of copper that were in the house of the Lord, and the bases, and the copper sea that was in the house of the Lord, did the Chaldeans break up, and they carried the copper thereof to Babylon.
13 E as colunas de bronze que estavam na casa do SENHOR, e as bases, e o mar de bronze que estava na casa do SENHOR, os caldeus quebraram em pedaços, e carregaram o bronze deles para Babilônia.
14 And the pots, and the shovels, and the knives, and the spoons, and all the vessels of copper wherewith they ministered, took they away.
14 E as panelas, e as pás, e as espevitadeiras, e as colheres, e todos os vasos com os quais ministravam, eles levaram consigo.
15 And the censers, and the bowls, the gold of the golden things, and the silver of the silver things, took the captain of the guard away.
15 E os braseiros, e as tigelas, e coisas do gênero que eram de ouro, em ouro, e de prata, em prata, o capitão da guarda levou consigo.
16 The two pillars, the one sea, and the bases which Solomon had made for the house of the Lord: the copper of all these vessels was too much to be weighed.
16 As duas colunas, um mar, e as bases que Salomão havia feito para a casa do SENHOR; o bronze de todos estes vasos foi sem pesagem.
17 Eighteen cubits was the height of the one pillar, and the capital upon it was copper; and the height of the capital was three cubits; and the wreathed work, and the pomegranates upon the capitals round about, were all of copper: and the same had the second pillar together with the wreathed work.
17 A altura de uma coluna era de dezoito côvados, e o capitel sobre ela era de bronze; e a altura do capitel era de três côvados; e a rede e as romãs sobre o capitel, tudo era de bronze; e semelhantes a esta era a outra coluna com a rede.
18 And the captain of the guard took Serayah the chiefpriest, and Zephanyahu the second priest, and the three doorkeepers;
18 E o capitão da guarda tomou Seraías, o sumo sacerdote, e Sofonias, o segundo sacerdote, e os três guardadores da porta;
19 And out of the city he took one courtofficer that was appointed over the men of war, and five men of those that could come into the kings presence, who were found in the city, and the scribe of the chief of the army, who ordered to the army the people of the land, and sixty men of the people of the land that were found in the city:
19 e da cidade ele tomou um oficial que foi posto acima dos homens de guerra, e cinco homens dos que estavam na presença do rei, os quais foram achados na cidade, e o principal escriba do exército, o qual convocou o povo da terra, e sessenta homens do povo da terra que foram achados na cidade;
20 And Nebusaradan the captain of the guard took these, and conducted them to the king of Babylon to Riblah;
20 e Nebuzaradã, capitão da guarda, tomou estes, e os trouxe até o rei de Babilônia, a Ribla;
21 And the king of Babylon smote them, and put them to death at Riblah in the land of Chamath. So did Judah wander away into exile out of their land.
21 e o rei de Babilônia os feriu, e os matou em Ribla na terra de Hamate. Assim, Judá foi removido da sua terra.
22 And as for the people that were left in the land of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had left, he appointed over them Gedalyahu the son of Achikam, the son of Shaphan.
22 E quanto ao povo que permaneceu na terra de Judá, ao qual Nabucodonosor, rei de Babilônia havia deixado, designou sobre eles a Gedalias, o filho de Aicão, o filho de Safã.
23 And when all the captains of the armies, they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had appointed Gedalyahu, they came to Gedalyahu to Mizpah; even Ishmael the son of Nethanyah, and Jochanan the son of Kareach, and Serayah the son of Tanchumeth the Netophathite, and Jaazanyahu the son of a Maachathite, they and their men.
23 E, quando todos os capitães dos exércitos, eles e os seus homens, ouviram que o rei de Babilônia havia feito de Gedalias governador, vieram a Gedalias, a Mispá, o próprio Ismael, o filho de Netanias, e Joanã, o filho de Careá, e Seraías, o filho de Tanumete, o netofatita, e Jazanias, o filho de um maacatita, eles e os seus homens.
24 And Gedalyahu swore to them, and to their men, and said unto them, Be not afraid of the servants of the Chaldeans: remain in the land, and serve the king of Babylon; and it will be well with you.
24 E Gedalias jurou a eles e aos seus homens, e disse-lhes: Não temais por serem servos dos caldeus; habitai na terra, e servi ao rei de Babilônia; e isto vos será bem.
25 But it happened in the seventh month, that there came Ishmael the son of Nethanyah, the son of Elishama, of the seed royal, and ten men with him, and they smote Gedalyahu, so that he died, also the Jews and the Chaldeans that were with him at Mizpah.
25 Porém, sucedeu no sétimo mês, que Ismael, o filho de Netanias, o filho de Elisama, da semente real, veio, e com ele dez homens, e feriu Gedalias, de modo que morreu, e os judeus e os caldeus que estavam com ele em Mispá.
26 And then arose all the people, from small to great, and the captains of the armies, and went to Egypt; for they were afraid of the Chaldeans.
26 E todo o povo, tanto os pequenos como os grandes, e os capitães dos exércitos, levantaram-se e vieram até o Egito; porque temiam os caldeus.
27 And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoyachin the king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, that Evilmerodach the king of Babylon in the year that he became king did lift up the head of Jehoyachin the king of Judah out of the prison;
27 E sucedeu, no trigésimo sétimo ano do cativeiro de Joaquim, rei de Judá, no décimo segundo mês, vigésimo sétimo dia do mês, que Evil-Merodaque, rei de Babilônia, no ano em que ele começou a reinar ergueu a cabeça de Joaquim, rei de Judá, da prisão;
28 And he spoke kindly to him, and set his chair above the chair of the kings that were with him in Babylon:
28 e ele falou gentilmente com ele, e pôs o seu trono acima do trono dos reis que estavam com ele em Babilônia;
29 And changed his prison garments: and he ate bread continually before him all the days of his life.
29 e trocou as suas vestes de prisioneiro; e ele comeu pão continuamente diante dele, todos os dias da sua vida.
30 And his allowance was a continual allowance given him by the king, the necessary ration for the day on its day, all the days of his life.
30 E o seu sustento foi um sustento contínuo dado a ele por parte do rei, uma estimativa diária para cada dia, todos os dias da sua vida.
