1 And David made himself houses in the city of David, and he prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.
1 Davi fez também casas para si mesmo, na Cidade de Davi, e preparou um lugar para a arca de Deus e lhe armou uma tenda.
2 Then said David, None shall carry the ark of God but the Levites; for of them hath the Lord made choice to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.
2 Então ele disse: — Ninguém pode levar a arca de Deus, a não ser os levitas, porque o
3 And David assembled all Israel to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the Lord unto its place, which he had prepared for it.
3 Davi reuniu todo o Israel em Jerusalém, para trazer a arca do Senhor para o lugar que ele havia preparado para ela.
4 And David gathered together the children of Aaron, and the Levites.
4 Davi reuniu os filhos de Arão e os levitas.
5 Of the sons of Kehath: Uriel the chief, and his brethren one hundred and twenty.
5 Dos filhos de Coate veio Uriel, o chefe, e seus irmãos, cento e vinte;
6 Of the sons of Merari: ‘Assayah the chief, and his brethren two hundred and twenty.
6 dos filhos de Merari veio Asaías, o chefe, e seus irmãos, duzentos e vinte;
7 Of the sons of Gershom: Joel the chief, and his brethren one hundred and thirty.
7 dos filhos de Gérson veio Joel, o chefe, e seus irmãos, cento e trinta;
8 Of the sons of Elizaphan: Shema’yah the chief, and his brethren two hundred.
8 dos filhos de Elisafã veio Semaías, o chefe, e seus irmãos, duzentos;
9 Of the sons of Hebron: Eliel the chief, and his brethren eighty.
9 dos filhos de Hebrom veio Eliel, o chefe, e seus irmãos, oitenta;
10 Of the sons of ‘Uzziel: ‘Amminadab the chief, and his brethren one hundred and twelve.
10 dos filhos de Uziel veio Aminadabe, o chefe, e seus irmãos, cento e doze.
11 And David called for Zadok and Ebyathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, ‘Assayah, and Joel, Shema’yah, and Eliel, and ‘Amminadab,
11 Davi chamou os sacerdotes Zadoque e Abiatar e os levitas Uriel, Asaías, Joel, Semaías, Eliel e Aminadabe
12 And he said unto them, Ye are the chiefs of the family divisions of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, ye and your brethren, and bring up the ark of the Lord the God of Israel unto the place which I have prepared for it.
12 e lhes disse: — Vocês são os chefes das famílias dos levitas. Santifiquem a si mesmos e aos seus irmãos, para que possam trazer a arca do
13 For, because ye did it not at the first, the Lord our God made a breach among us; because we had not sought him after the prescribed manner.
13 Pois, visto que vocês não a carregaram na primeira vez, o Senhor , nosso Deus, irrompeu contra nós, porque não o buscamos, segundo nos tinha sido ordenado.
14 So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the Lord the God of Israel.
14 Então os sacerdotes e os levitas se santificaram, para trazer a arca do Senhor , Deus de Israel.
15 And the children of the Levites bore the ark of God, as Moses had commanded according to the word of the Lord, on their shoulders, by means of barrows placed upon them.
15 Os filhos dos levitas trouxeram a arca de Deus sobre os ombros pelos cabos, como Moisés havia ordenado, segundo a palavra do Senhor .
16 And David said to the chiefs of the Levites to appoint their brethren the singers with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, to sing aloud, by lifting up the voice for joy.
16 Davi ordenou aos chefes dos levitas que constituíssem os seus irmãos, os cantores, para que, acompanhados por instrumentos musicais, liras, harpas e címbalos, se fizessem ouvir, levantando a voz com alegria.
17 So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel, and of his brethren, Assaph the son of Berechyahu, and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushayahu;
17 Assim, os levitas designaram Hemã, filho de Joel; e dos irmãos dele, Asafe, filho de Berequias; e dos filhos de Merari, irmãos deles, Etã, filho de Cusaías.
18 And with them their brethren of the second degree, Zecharyahu, Ben, and Ja’aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jechiel, and ‘Unni, Eliab, and Benayahu, and Ma’asseyahu, and Matthithyahu, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneyahu, and ‘Obed–edom, and Je’iel, the gatekeepers.
18 E com eles os seus irmãos da segunda ordem: Zacarias, Bene, Jaaziel, Semiramote, Jeiel, Uni, Eliabe, Benaia, Maaseias, Matitias, Elifeleu e Micneias e os porteiros Obede-Edom e Jeiel.
19 Namely, the singers, Heman, Assaph, and Ethan, to play aloud with cymbals of copper;
19 Assim, os cantores Hemã, Asafe e Etã se faziam ouvir com címbalos de bronze;
20 And Zechariah, and ‘Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jechiel, and ‘Unni, and Eliab, and Ma’asseyahu, and Benayahu, with psalteries on ‘Alamoth;
20 Zacarias, Aziel, Semiramote, Jeiel, Uni, Eliabe, Maaseias e Benaia, com liras, em voz de soprano;
21 And Matthithyahu, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneyahu, and ‘Obed–edom, and Je–iel, and ‘Azazyahu, with harps on the Sheminith to play as leaders.
21 Matitias, Elifeleu, Micneias, Obede-Edom, Jeiel e Azazias, com harpas, em voz de baixo, para conduzir o canto.
22 And Kenanyahu was the chief of the Levites in conducting the singing: he instructed in conducting the singing, because he was skilful.
22 Quenanias, chefe dos levitas músicos, tinha o encargo de dirigir o canto, porque era perito nisso.
23 And Berechyah and Elkanah were gatekeepers for the ark.
23 Berequias e Elcana eram porteiros da arca.
24 And Shebanyahu, and Joshaphat, and Nethanel, and ‘Amassai, and Zecharyahu, and Benayahu, and Eli’ezer, the priests, did blow on the trumpets before the ark of God; and ‘Obed–edom and Jechiyah were gatekeepers for the ark.
24 Sebanias, Josafá, Natanael, Amasai, Zacarias, Benaia e Eliézer, os sacerdotes, tocavam as trombetas diante da arca de Deus; Obede-Edom e Jeías eram porteiros da arca.
25 And it was David, with the elders of Israel, and the officers over the thousands, who went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the house of ‘Obed–edom with joy.
25 Davi, os anciãos de Israel e os capitães de milhares foram, com alegria, buscar a arca da aliança do Senhor na casa de Obede-Edom.
26 And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams.
26 E visto que Deus ajudou os levitas que levavam a arca da aliança do Senhor , ofereceram em sacrifício sete novilhos e sete carneiros.
27 And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and so were all the Levites that carried the ark, and the singers, and Kenanyahu the chief in conducting the singing of the singers; but David had also upon him an ephod of linen.
27 Davi estava vestido com um manto de linho fino, bem como todos os levitas que levavam a arca, os cantores e Quenanias, chefe dos que levavam a arca e dos cantores; Davi vestia também uma estola sacerdotal de linho.
28 Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the Lord with shouting, and with the sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, playing aloud on psalteries and harps.
28 Assim, todo o Israel levou a arca da aliança do Senhor , com júbilo e ao som de clarins, trombetas e címbalos, fazendo ressoar harpas e liras.
29 And it happened, as the ark of the covenant of the Lord came as far as the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked through the window, and saw king David dancing and playing, and she despised him in her heart.
29 Quando a arca da aliança do Senhor estava entrando na Cidade de Davi, Mical, filha de Saul, olhou pela janela. E, ao ver o rei Davi dançando e se alegrando, ela o desprezou em seu coração.
