1 And David made himself houses in the city of David, and he prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.
1 E Davi fez para si casas na cidade de Davi, e preparou um lugar para a arca de Deus, e armou para ela uma tenda.
2 Then said David, None shall carry the ark of God but the Levites; for of them hath the Lord made choice to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.
2 Então, Davi disse: Ninguém deve carregar a arca de Deus, senão os levitas; porque o SENHOR os escolheu para carregar a arca de Deus, e para sempre ministrar diante dele.
3 And David assembled all Israel to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the Lord unto its place, which he had prepared for it.
3 E Davi reuniu todo o Israel em Jerusalém, para fazer subir a arca do SENHOR ao seu lugar, o qual ele havia preparado.
4 And David gathered together the children of Aaron, and the Levites.
4 E Davi reuniu os filhos de Arão, e os levitas;
5 Of the sons of Kehath: Uriel the chief, and his brethren one hundred and twenty.
5 e dos filhos de Coate: Uriel, o chefe; e os seus irmãos, cento e vinte;
6 Of the sons of Merari: ‘Assayah the chief, and his brethren two hundred and twenty.
6 e dos filhos de Merari: Asaías, o chefe; e os seus irmãos, duzentos e vinte;
7 Of the sons of Gershom: Joel the chief, and his brethren one hundred and thirty.
7 dos filhos de Gérson: Joel, o chefe; e os seus irmãos, cento e trinta;
8 Of the sons of Elizaphan: Shema’yah the chief, and his brethren two hundred.
8 dos filhos de Elizafã: Semaías, o chefe; e os seus irmãos, duzentos.
9 Of the sons of Hebron: Eliel the chief, and his brethren eighty.
9 dos filhos de Hebrom: Eliel, o chefe; e os seus irmãos, oitenta;
10 Of the sons of ‘Uzziel: ‘Amminadab the chief, and his brethren one hundred and twelve.
10 dos filhos de Uziel: Aminadabe, o chefe; e os seus irmãos, cento e doze;
11 And David called for Zadok and Ebyathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, ‘Assayah, and Joel, Shema’yah, and Eliel, and ‘Amminadab,
11 E Davi chamou Zadoque e Abiatar, os sacerdotes; e os levitas: Uriel, Asaías, e Joel, Semaías, e Eliel e Aminadabe,
12 And he said unto them, Ye are the chiefs of the family divisions of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, ye and your brethren, and bring up the ark of the Lord the God of Israel unto the place which I have prepared for it.
12 e disse-lhes: Vós sois os chefes dos pais dos levitas; santificai-vos, tanto vós, como os vossos irmãos, para que possais fazer subir a arca do SENHOR Deus de Israel até o lugar que preparei para ela.
13 For, because ye did it not at the first, the Lord our God made a breach among us; because we had not sought him after the prescribed manner.
13 Porque, como vós não o fizestes da primeira vez, o SENHOR nosso Deus fez uma fenda sobre nós, pois não o buscamos segundo a ordem devida.
14 So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the Lord the God of Israel.
14 Assim, os sacerdotes e os levitas se santificaram para fazer subir a arca do SENHOR Deus de Israel.
15 And the children of the Levites bore the ark of God, as Moses had commanded according to the word of the Lord, on their shoulders, by means of barrows placed upon them.
15 E os filhos dos levitas carregaram a arca de Deus sobre os seus ombros, com as suas hastes sobre eles, como Moisés ordenou, segundo a palavra do SENHOR.
16 And David said to the chiefs of the Levites to appoint their brethren the singers with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, to sing aloud, by lifting up the voice for joy.
16 E Davi falou com os chefes dos levitas para indicarem os seus irmãos para serem os cantores, com instrumentos de música, saltérios, harpas e címbalos, soando ao erguerem as suas vozes com alegria.
17 So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel, and of his brethren, Assaph the son of Berechyahu, and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushayahu;
17 Assim, os levitas indicaram Hemã, o filho de Joel; e os seus irmãos, Asafe, o filho de Berequias; e dos filhos de Merari, os seus irmãos; Etã, o filho de Cusaías;
18 And with them their brethren of the second degree, Zecharyahu, Ben, and Ja’aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jechiel, and ‘Unni, Eliab, and Benayahu, and Ma’asseyahu, and Matthithyahu, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneyahu, and ‘Obed–edom, and Je’iel, the gatekeepers.
18 e com eles, os seus irmãos de segundo grau: Zacarias, Bene, e Jaaziel, e Semiramote, e Jeiel, e Uni, Eliabe, e Benaia, e Maaseias, e Matitias, e Elifeleu, e Micneias, e Obede-Edom, e Jeiel; os porteiros.
19 Namely, the singers, Heman, Assaph, and Ethan, to play aloud with cymbals of copper;
19 Assim, os cantores: Hemã, Asafe, e Etã, foram indicados para soarem com címbalos de bronze;
20 And Zechariah, and ‘Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jechiel, and ‘Unni, and Eliab, and Ma’asseyahu, and Benayahu, with psalteries on ‘Alamoth;
20 e Zacarias, e Aziel, e Semiramote, e Jeiel, e Uni, e Eliabe, e Maaseias, e Benaia, com saltérios sobre Alamote;
21 And Matthithyahu, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneyahu, and ‘Obed–edom, and Je–iel, and ‘Azazyahu, with harps on the Sheminith to play as leaders.
21 e Matitias, e Elifeleu, e Micneias, e Obede-Edom, e Jeiel, e Azazias, com harpas, sobre seminite para distinção.
22 And Kenanyahu was the chief of the Levites in conducting the singing: he instructed in conducting the singing, because he was skilful.
22 E Quenanias, chefe dos levitas, foi para a música; ele instruía música, porque era habilidoso.
23 And Berechyah and Elkanah were gatekeepers for the ark.
23 E Berequias e Elcana foram os porteiros da arca.
24 And Shebanyahu, and Joshaphat, and Nethanel, and ‘Amassai, and Zecharyahu, and Benayahu, and Eli’ezer, the priests, did blow on the trumpets before the ark of God; and ‘Obed–edom and Jechiyah were gatekeepers for the ark.
24 E Sebanias, e Josafá, e Netanel, e Amasai, e Zacarias, e Benaia, e Eliézer, os sacerdotes, sopravam as trombetas diante da arca de Deus; e Obede-Edom e Jeías foram porteiros da arca.
25 And it was David, with the elders of Israel, and the officers over the thousands, who went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the house of ‘Obed–edom with joy.
25 Assim, Davi, e os anciãos de Israel, e os capitães sobre milhares, foram fazer subir a arca do pacto do SENHOR da casa de Obede-Edom, com alegria.
26 And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams.
26 E sucedeu, quando Deus ajudou os levitas que carregavam a arca do pacto do SENHOR, que eles ofereceram sete novilhos e sete carneiros.
27 And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and so were all the Levites that carried the ark, and the singers, and Kenanyahu the chief in conducting the singing of the singers; but David had also upon him an ephod of linen.
27 E Davi estava vestido com uma veste de linho fino, e todos os levitas que carregavam a arca, e os cantores e Quenanias, o mestre do cântico; Davi também tinha sobre si um éfode de linho.
28 Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the Lord with shouting, and with the sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, playing aloud on psalteries and harps.
28 Assim, todo o Israel fez subir a arca do pacto do SENHOR com brados, e com som de corneta, e com trombetas, e com címbalos, fazendo ruído com saltérios e harpas.
29 And it happened, as the ark of the covenant of the Lord came as far as the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looked through the window, and saw king David dancing and playing, and she despised him in her heart.
29 E sucedeu, enquanto a arca do pacto do SENHOR chegava à cidade de Davi, que Mical, a filha de Saul, ao olhar por uma janela, viu o rei Davi dançando e se divertindo; e ela o desprezou no seu coração.
