1 Pedro 2
ldb (LDB) vs VC
1 Nggee, àka atsũwe atsimbi ru ikpũ amɛn aka abewe, ukpukpeta, unyɛ̃ɛ̃ nu urhena ukpu ubɛn ikpũa.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Ru nyaka írheng awɛkaci iki ikponi iyam abɛ̃, Àka akponu ihwɛng Arherhu Unum, ake itsu umbi aseng ri ififɔrhmbi,
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 icɛrɛ umbi aka abanga agũ ugɛ Uteijee awu azeze.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Àka aba ru unga, utarh urhɛ ha anera aka akpɛ̃mbɔ, bɔr Unum asɛng ukpɔ uwe ru ugarh ru unga.
4 — ausente —
5 Umbi ikɛi, awe ru nyaka atarh, Unum unga awu uner idzin, unga ani ikũ umbi akũ adzin iyanga. Ru ubok Uyesu Ukiristo, umbi awe asarkasar abika idzowe idɛm-Num iyiriyɛ iki itsu Unum agũibɛn.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Itsɛng Arherhu-Num igɔr igɛ,
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Nggee ru umbi abi imangmang, utarh ukpirɛ uwu ru ugarh. Bɔr ra abika asheri imangmang,
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Nu,
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Bɔr umbi awu abirabɛ umbɔ aka asɛng, abika adzowe idɛm-Num ri iya uyɛrhe, asarkasar abĩ, anerabɛ aka awe abi Unum, agɛ umbi ama akũ ikpikpoinga adzeka unga aka ayisa umbi ru uzĩ adzek atsĩ ri idzeu irhirhangnga.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Isha umbi asi iwembi aner Unum, bɔr icɛrɛ umbi awe aner Unum. Isha umbi asi iyɛimbi atorh, bɔr icɛrɛ umbi ayɛimbi atorh.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 A aze awɛrhamum, umum ifituwa umbi, ru nyaka atsen ru upfung, àka neke idɔsa abin ikponi iyor, aki itang iwa ri ipfumbi.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Àka asei nggu amɛn aka arhurhika ra ateu anera aka asi ihwɛngmbɔ Unum, nggayɛ umbɔ ani irhena umbi, umbɔ ama anyã irhirhikambi na akpoi Unum ru unumkpi unga aka iba ayepa umɛn.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Àka adɔsa arherhe ubɛn abi ijee ri itsi Uteijee, ra ayɛrhe use ubɛn ijee ra anernga kishoo,
13 — ausente —
14 use agomna, unga aka adene umbɔ atsu ufai ra abi uvau, na akpoi abika arhika.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Ubinkutsu, awu ubinkpi Unum aka abee nukpɔ, umbi akorhe iyiki ize ngge itsú aguge aneke irherha arherhe ida ihwihwɛngmbɔ.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Àka asei isei ru nyaka abika afɔn, bɔr àka niba anyangu ififɔn atsirmbi iyiki ibewe, bɔr àka asei ru nyaka agãrhã Unum.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Àka adzowe undzumu imor ru ubɛn unera, àka abemu ukpui abika adɔsa, àka agũ iwei Unum na adzowe imor ru uyɛrhe.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Umbi agãrhã, àka adɔsa arherhe ateiyambi ri idzowe undzumu imor, niba iwengge ra ateiya abi amɛn aka aze nu ididɔɔr ukpekũ, bɔr ikɛi nggu abi amɛn aka atsoo.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Unera aba abimunga ri igũ ighong ayetnum aka ada irhika, na ahwɛnga Unum, awu ubin ukpoi.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Bɔr umbɔ aba akwɛr umbi ra avaumbi, ibibimambi iwu use? Bɔr umbi aba ahwa ayetnum ri ikorhu iyiki ize na abima, awu ibibemu Unum niyɔ.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Ubinkutsu ayisa umbi ri ikpũ akɛrɛ ha, Ukiristo ahwa ayetnum ri itsimbi na aneka umbi utsĩndĩwi umbi aka idɔsa adaknga.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 <<Unga asi ikorhunga arhim
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Ivangyɛ umbɔ aka arhena unga, unga asi irhena afasa, ivangyɛ unga aka ahwa ayetnum, asi ifasa. Bɔr unga atsu amɛnnga ru uwuku uvarhe arherhe idzidzɛrhe.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Unga nibikanga atsã arhimmɛn ri iyornga ni igãrhãmau ucucii, ngge ima itsu amɛnmɛn aki arhim akpe nu umɛn ĩbɛk ri irhirhika, ru ubok isɔɔnga umbi akpo ikikerhe.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Umbi aka agwirmbi ru nyaku ídɔi, bɔr icɛrɛ umbi aka abambi ru uner ughãwã nu uwuku udzɛu ipfumbi.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
