1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Bi doy kwôlo Emen lêŋge môɲ kema wo dê ôriɲ doy kuba yori hen iyôŋ, aɲ ken iyêriɲ tô a kwôy wo Emen a sa gôliɲ naɲ ken yôôd.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Wôsa liɲ bô magtubu to Emen a kôl iyôŋ ba: «Kenbay naɲ yerŋge ken hôn derê wo Kelma Emen dô hen.»
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Iyôŋ ba, ken uso ɗa ligi Kelma wo yi mega keram wo mô tu geɲ wo gawrê kaɲ, niɲba, tu Emen wo dôri hen na, ôbi na keram wo dô ɗê are kêm hen.

5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Liɲ bô magtubu to Emen a kôl iyôŋ ba:
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.

7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,

8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Niɲba, kwoŋge kenbay ba, kena tô yê wo Emen derêŋge men, kena kilmé men, kena bay bê kwôbe ka li jé biɲ Kelma Emen men, kena tô yê wo na kwo Emen men, kena ɓiɲé ka Emen bi a men. Aɲ ôbi terêŋge bi kené kôliɲ ɓiɲé kwôli aŋga kwôni ka ɗiré li hen men, kiriɲa ôbi uwôgêŋge aɲ derêŋge bô kiriɲ ka hendi a aɲ bi kené ô merê kiriɲ ka peraŋgi a ka ɗê kiriɲ.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Tumô ba, na kena ka Emen né, niɲba, haw hen kena kari men, na ken hôn mega wo ôbi na ré bô tu ɲa toŋge ré, niɲba, haw hen ken hôn wo ôbi ré bô tu ɲa toŋge men niɲ.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Milɲén kaɲê, henêŋge wo kené na kergê sa terare a nà ɗiba, iyére toŋge naɲ tôŋ nà. Iyôŋ ba, en uwôlêŋge bi kené li aŋga habiɲ ka ken li tu bôriyare sara hen ré niɲ. Are bay ka hen na, bay a jerêŋge lê aŋga dôriɲ Emen hen.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Bi jé lêreŋge yi kwo dôri perê bay henê Emen né a, aɲ bi hena bay ré lêŋge ɲôm mega wo kené li aŋga habiɲ ba, bi bay gel aŋga dôri ka ken li hen kwôy kwôy aɲ bi bay ayiɲ kibi Emen wulê wo ôbi a saɲ.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Mega wo ken ô tô Kelma wona Jésu Krist a hen iyôŋ na, ɓiɲé kêm ka sa terare a nà ka ôriɲ naɲ néé hen ken biji kwôlê men, ken biɲ kelma woɲ ôbi sa kiriɲ kêm hen kwôlê men,

14 ken biɲ ɓiɲé ka kelma ɗiji bi ré pô bay lêre aŋga habiɲ men, wô dené ka li aŋga dôri a men hen kwôlê.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Emen gey bi kené li aŋga dôri aɲ ɓiɲé kaɲ bay galê ka hôn ani ré ka lêŋge ɲôm hen ré uwôɲ kwôlê woɲ kelê ré niɲ.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Bi jé lêreŋge yi kwo ɓiɲé ka mô naɲ sarji, aɲ ken ɗi bi merê sa seŋge toŋge hende to hen li aɲ ken liɲ aŋga habiɲ ré, niɲba, bi jé lêreŋge yi kwo manê ka Emen ɗi.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Biɲge ɓiɲé kêm kwôlê men, geyéŋge yênêrŋge bay ayê bôô men, kemnaɲge tini Emen men, ken biɲ kelma ôbi emê sa iyére kwôlê a men.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Kenbay manê, dôbêŋge sarŋge biɲ bay iyére toŋge men, hena bay ré lêŋge dôô, ré lêŋge habiɲ kôba, ken kemnaɲ tiniji a men.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Hena kwôni ré ɓu bôri iyêre sa bô emê woɲ ɗéɲ iyôŋ a hen wô kibi Emen na, na aŋga dôriɲ Emen.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Hena kené li habiɲ aɲa bay ré sêŋge men, geléŋge gusiɲ a men ba, i a ayê kebreŋge ba? Niɲba, hena kené li dô aɲa bay ré geléŋge gusiɲ aɲa kené ɓu bôrŋge iyêre sara na, na aŋga dôriɲ Emen.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Na wô ôbi bi wo hen aɲa ôbi ré uwôgêŋge wôsa Jésu Krist kôba, na geliɲ gusiɲ wô sarŋge na hen iyôŋ men, aɲ geléŋge geré bi kené li môɲ kwori iyôŋ.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Wôsa ôbi na li ani kani ka habiɲ né men, kwôlê woɲ benare naɲ kibri a a men.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Kiriɲa bay tiréri ba, ôbi tiréji men né men, kiriɲa bay geli gusiɲ ba, ôbi kôl ɗiré liji habrê gôɲiɲ tu ré a men, niɲba, ôbi ay yiri uwôl kôbi Emen woɲ ôbi jerê kwôlê naɲ geréri hen ɗi.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Jésu Krist naɲ yiri a perê habrê woni bi sari a kiriɲa bay na ɓééri sa gurô tagelê hen aɲ bi nana yi môɲ nana ma tô têriɲ a iyôŋ aɲ bi nana môriɲ tu geɲ men, jé lêrena ré yi kwo dôri a men. Sa kibi gusiɲ hende to bay geli hen aɲa nabay nana berariɲ kemnêŋ hen.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Tumô ba, na ken yi môɲ gamgê ka ge kay iyôŋ niɲba, haw hen na, bay hô uɲéŋge hôriɲ tô geré kayê woŋge a, aɲ ken ô tô kwoɲ ôbi berê sarŋge a men, ôbi gemérŋge a men hen niɲ.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
