1 Somente em Deus, ó minha alma, espera silenciosa; dele vem a minha salvação.
2 He only [is] my rock and my saving health; [he is] my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.
2 Só ele é a minha rocha, e a minha salvação, e o meu alto refúgio; não serei muito abalado.
3 How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? Shall ye murder each other [until ye are] as a bowing wall [and as] a tottering fence?
3 Até quando acometereis vós a um homem, todos vós, para o derribardes, como se fosse uma parede pendida ou um muro prestes a cair?
4 They only consult to cast [him] down from his greatness; they delight in lies; they bless with their mouth, but they curse in their inward parts. Selah.
4 Só pensam em derribá-lo da sua dignidade; na mentira se comprazem; de boca bendizem, porém no interior maldizem.
5 My soul, rest thou only in God, for my hope [is] from him.
5 Somente em Deus, ó minha alma, espera silenciosa, porque dele vem a minha esperança.
6 He only [is] my rock and my saving health; [he is] my defence; I shall not be moved.
6 Só ele é a minha rocha, e a minha salvação, e o meu alto refúgio; não serei jamais abalado.
7 In God [is] my saving health and my glory; the rock of my strength [and] my refuge [is] in God.
7 De Deus dependem a minha salvação e a minha glória; estão em Deus a minha forte rocha e o meu refúgio.
8 Wait in him at all times; [ye] peoples, pour out your heart before him; God [is] our refuge. Selah.
8 Confiai nele, ó povo, em todo tempo; derramai perante ele o vosso coração; Deus é o nosso refúgio.
9 Surely the sons of Adam [are] vanity, [and] the sons of nobles [are] a lie; to be laid in the balance, they [are] altogether [lighter] than vanity.
9 Somente vaidade são os homens plebeus; falsidade, os de fina estirpe; pesados em balança, eles juntos são mais leves que a vaidade.
10 Trust not in violence and become not vain in the taking of spoil; if riches increase, set not your heart [upon them].
10 Não confieis naquilo que extorquis, nem vos vanglorieis na rapina; se as vossas riquezas prosperam, não ponhais nelas o coração.
11 God has spoken once; twice have I heard this that power [belongs] unto God.
11 Uma vez falou Deus, duas vezes ouvi isto: Que o poder pertence a Deus,
12 Also unto thee, O Lord, [belongs] mercy, for thou renderest to every man according to his work.:
12 e a ti, Senhor, pertence a graça, pois a cada um retribuis segundo as suas obras.
