1 Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go that they may serve me.
1 O Senhor Deus disse a Moisés: — Vá falar com o rei e diga que o
2 For if thou refuse to let [them] go and wilt hold them still,
2 Pois, se você não deixar e continuar impedindo que ele vá,
3 behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy livestock which [are] in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the cows, and upon the sheep: [there shall be] a very grievous pestilence.
3 eu o castigarei com uma doença horrível, que atacará todos os seus animais, isto é, os cavalos, os jumentos, os camelos, o gado, as ovelhas e as cabras.
4 And the LORD shall separate between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt so that nothing shall die of all [that is] of the sons of Israel.
4 Farei diferença entre os animais dos israelitas e os dos egípcios, e não morrerá nenhum animal dos israelitas.
5 And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, Tomorrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land.
5 Eu, o Senhor , marquei um prazo: farei isso amanhã.”
6 And the next day the LORD did that thing, and [of] all the livestock of Egypt [many] died, but of the livestock of the sons of Israel not one died.
6 No dia seguinte o Senhor fez como tinha dito, e todos os animais dos egípcios morreram; porém não morreu nenhum dos animais dos israelitas.
7 Then Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not one of the livestock of the sons of Israel dead. But the heart of Pharaoh hardened, and he did not let the people go.
7 O rei mandou ver o que havia acontecido e foi informado de que não havia morrido nenhum animal dos israelitas. Apesar disso o rei continuou teimando e não deixou o povo ir.
8 And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron, [Let] each of you take handfuls of soot from the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.
8 Então o Senhor Deus disse a Moisés e a Arão: — Peguem punhados de cinza de um forno, e que Moisés jogue essa cinza para o ar diante do rei do Egito.
9 And it shall become dust upon all the land of Egypt, which shall cause boils breaking forth [with] blisters upon man and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.
9 Ela se espalhará como um pó fino sobre toda a terra do Egito, e em todos os lugares a cinza produzirá tumores que se abrirão em úlceras nas pessoas e nos animais.
10 And they took the soot of the furnace and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and boils breaking forth [with] blisters came upon man and upon beast
10 Assim, Moisés e Arão pegaram cinza e ficaram de pé na frente do rei. Moisés jogou a cinza para cima, e ela produziu tumores, que viraram úlceras nas pessoas e nos animais.
11 [until] the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boils were upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.
11 Os mágicos não puderam aparecer diante de Moisés porque eles e todos os outros egípcios estavam cobertos de tumores.
12 And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he did hearken unto them as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.
12 Porém o Senhor Deus fez com que o rei continuasse teimando. E, como o Senhor tinha dito a Moisés, o rei não atendeu o pedido de Moisés e Arão.
13 Then the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning and stand before Pharaoh and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go that they may serve me.
13 O Senhor Deus disse a Moisés: — Amanhã cedo vá se encontrar com o rei e diga-lhe que o
14 For [otherwise] this time I will send all my plagues upon thine heart and upon thy servants and upon thy people that thou may know that [there is] none like me in all the earth.
14 Pois desta vez eu vou fazer todas as minhas pragas caírem sobre você, sobre os seus funcionários e sobre o seu povo, para que você fique sabendo que em todo o mundo não há ninguém como eu.
15 For now I will stretch out my hand that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence, and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.
15 Se eu tivesse atacado você e o seu povo com doenças, você já teria sido completamente destruído.
16 For in truth I have placed thee to declare my power in thee, and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.
16 Mas estou deixando que você viva para mostrar a você o meu poder e para fazer com que o meu nome seja conhecido no mundo inteiro.
17 Thou even so dost exalt thyself against my people that thou wilt not let them go.
17 Você ainda continua orgulhoso e não quer deixar o meu povo ir.
18 Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as has not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.
18 Porém amanhã a esta hora eu vou fazer cair uma chuva de pedra tão forte como nunca houve igual em toda a história do Egito.
19 Send therefore now [and] gather thy livestock and all that thou hast in the field; [for upon] every man and beast which shall be found in the field and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.
19 Portanto, agora mande recolher o seu gado e tudo o que você tem no campo. Se as pessoas e os animais que estiverem no campo não forem para casa, quando cair a chuva de pedra, todos eles morrerão.”
20 He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his livestock flee into the houses;
20 Alguns funcionários do rei ficaram com medo daquilo que o Senhor tinha dito e levaram os seus escravos e os seus animais para os abrigos.
21 and he that did not regard the word of the LORD left his servants and his livestock in the field.
21 Mas os que não deram atenção ao que o Senhor tinha dito deixaram os seus escravos e os seus animais nos campos.
22 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch forth thine hand toward heaven that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon the men and upon the beasts and upon all the grass of the field throughout the land of Egypt.
22 Então o Senhor Deus disse a Moisés: — Levante a mão para o céu, e cairá chuva de pedra em toda a terra do Egito. Cairá sobre o povo, sobre os animais e sobre todas as plantas do campo.
23 And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven, and the LORD raised his voice and it hailed, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.
23 Moisés levantou o bastão para o céu, e o Senhor mandou trovões, chuva de pedra e raios sobre o país. Ele fez cair
24 So there was hail and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became inhabited.
24 uma pesada chuva de pedra sobre todo o Egito, e a chuva e os raios caíram sem parar. Essa foi a pior tempestade que o Egito já teve em toda a sua história.
25 And that hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that [was] in the field, both men and beasts; and the hail smote all the grass of the field and broke all the trees of the field.
25 Em todo o Egito a chuva de pedra acabou com tudo o que estava no campo, incluindo as pessoas e os animais. Destruiu todas as plantas e quebrou todas as árvores.
26 Only in the land of Goshen, where the sons of Israel [were], was there no hail.
26 Somente na região de Gosém, onde estavam os israelitas, a chuva de pedra não caiu.
27 Then Pharaoh sent and called for Moses and Aaron and said unto them, I have sinned this time; the LORD [is] righteous, and I and my people [are] wicked.
27 Então o rei mandou chamar Moisés e Arão e disse: — Desta vez eu pequei. O
28 Intreat the LORD that the thunderings of God and the hail [might] cease; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay here no longer.
28 Orem ao Senhor . Chega de trovões e de chuva de pedra! Eu os deixarei ir; vocês não precisam esperar mais.
29 And Moses replied unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will extend my hands unto the LORD; [and] the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou may know how that the earth [is] the LORD'S.
29 Moisés respondeu: — Quando sair da cidade, eu levantarei as mãos em oração a Deus, o
30 But I know thee and thy servants from before ye began to fear the presence of the LORD God.
30 Mas eu sei que o senhor e os seus funcionários ainda não temem a Deus , o Senhor .
31 The flax, therefore, and the barley were smitten, for the barley [was] headed out, and the flax [was] in stalk.
31 O linho e a cevada foram destruídos, pois a cevada já estava com espigas, e o linho estava em flor.
32 But the wheat and the rye were not smitten; for they [were] late.
32 Porém o trigo e o centeio não foram destruídos, pois ainda não haviam brotado.
33 And Moses went out from the presence of Pharaoh and [out] of the city and extended his hands unto the LORD; and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.
33 Depois de ter estado com o rei, Moisés saiu da cidade e levantou as mãos em oração a Deus, o Senhor . Aí os trovões, a chuva e a chuva de pedra pararam. Porém, quando o rei viu que tinha parado de chover e que não trovejava mais, nem caía chuva de pedra, ele tornou a pecar. Ele e os seus funcionários continuaram teimando. E, como o Senhor tinha dito por meio de Moisés, o rei não deixou que os israelitas fossem embora.
34 And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he persevered in [his] sin and hardened his heart, he and his servants.

35 And the heart of Pharaoh hardened, and he did not let the sons of Israel go as the LORD had spoken by Moses.:
