1 If a man shall steal an ox or a sheep and kill it or sell it he shall restore five oxen for an ox and four sheep for a sheep.
1 Se alguém furtar boi ou ovelha e o abater ou vender, por um boi pagará cinco bois, e quatro ovelhas por uma ovelha.
2 If a thief is found breaking into a house and is smitten so he dies, [he that killed him] shall not be guilty of his blood.
2 Se um ladrão for achado arrombando uma casa e, sendo ferido, morrer, quem o feriu não será culpado do sangue.
3 If the sun is risen upon him, [he that killed him] is guilty of his blood; [the thief] should make full restitution; if he has nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.
3 Se, porém, já havia sol quando tal se deu, quem o feriu será culpado do sangue; neste caso, o ladrão fará restituição total. Se não tiver com que pagar, será vendido por seu furto.
4 If he is found with the theft in his hand, whether it be ox or ass or sheep, he shall restore double.
4 Se aquilo que roubou for achado vivo em seu poder, seja boi, jumento ou ovelha, pagará o dobro.
5 If a man shall cause a field or vineyard to be eaten and shall put in his beast and shall feed in another man's field; of the best of his own field and of the best of his own vineyard shall he make restitution.
5 Se alguém fizer pastar o seu animal num campo ou numa vinha e o largar para comer em campo de outrem, pagará com o melhor do seu próprio campo e o melhor da sua própria vinha.
6 When fires are lit and in burning the thorns burn also the stacks of sheaves or the standing grain, or the field is consumed; he that kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.
6 Se irromper fogo, e pegar nos espinheiros, e destruir as medas de cereais, ou a messe, ou o campo, aquele que acendeu o fogo pagará totalmente o queimado.
7 When a man shall deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep, and it is stolen out of the man's house; if the thief is found, let him pay double.
7 Se alguém der ao seu próximo dinheiro ou objetos a guardar, e isso for furtado àquele que o recebeu, se for achado o ladrão, este pagará o dobro.
8 If the thief is not found, then the master of the house shall be brought unto the judges [to see] whether he has put his hand unto his neighbour's goods.
8 Se o ladrão não for achado, então, o dono da casa será levado perante os juízes, a ver se não meteu a mão nos bens do próximo.
9 For all manner of fraud, [whether it be] for [an] ox, for [an] ass, for [a] sheep, for raiment, [or] for any manner of lost thing, which [another] challenges to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the judges; [and] whom the judges shall condemn, he shall pay double unto his neighbour.
9 Em todo negócio frauduloso, seja a respeito de boi, ou de jumento, ou de ovelhas, ou de roupas, ou de qualquer coisa perdida, de que uma das partes diz: Esta é a coisa, a causa de ambas as partes se levará perante os juízes; aquele a quem os juízes condenarem pagará o dobro ao seu próximo.
10 If a man delivers unto his neighbour an ass or an ox or a sheep or any beast to keep, and it dies or is hurt or driven away, no man seeing [it],
10 Se alguém der ao seu próximo a guardar jumento, ou boi, ou ovelha, ou outro animal qualquer, e este morrer, ou ficar aleijado, ou for afugentado, sem que ninguém o veja,
11 [then] shall an oath of the LORD be between them both, that he has not put his hand unto his neighbour's goods, and the owner of it shall accept [thereof], and he shall not make [it] good.
11 então, haverá juramento do Senhor entre ambos, de que não meteu a mão nos bens do seu próximo; o dono aceitará o juramento, e o outro não fará restituição.
12 And if it is stolen from him, he shall make restitution unto its owner.
12 Porém, se, de fato, lhe for furtado, pagá-lo-á ao seu dono.
13 If it is torn in pieces, [then] let him bring witness, [and] he shall not make good that which was torn.
13 Se for dilacerado, trá-lo-á em testemunho disso e não pagará o dilacerado.
14 And if anyone borrows [anything] of his neighbour, and it is hurt or dies, its owner not [being] with it, he shall surely make [it] good.
14 Se alguém pedir emprestado a seu próximo um animal, e este ficar aleijado ou morrer, não estando presente o dono, pagá-lo-á.
15 [But] if its owner [is] with it, he shall not make [it] good; if it [was] hired, it came for its hire.
15 Se o dono esteve presente, não o pagará; se foi alugado, o preço do aluguel será o pagamento.
16 If a man should entice a virgin that is not betrothed and lie with her, he shall surely endow her and [take her] to be his wife.
16 Se alguém seduzir qualquer virgem que não estava desposada e se deitar com ela, pagará seu dote e a tomará por mulher.
17 If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.
17 Se o pai dela definitivamente recusar dar-lha, pagará ele em dinheiro conforme o dote das virgens.
18 Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.
18 A feiticeira não deixarás viver.
19 Whoever lies with a beast shall surely be put to death.
19 Quem tiver coito com animal será morto.
20 He that sacrifices unto [any] god, except unto the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed.
20 Quem sacrificar aos deuses e não somente ao Senhor será destruído.
21 Thou shalt neither mistreat a stranger nor oppress him; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
21 Não afligirás o forasteiro, nem o oprimirás; pois forasteiros fostes na terra do Egito.
22 Ye shall not afflict any widow or fatherless child.
22 A nenhuma viúva nem órfão afligireis.
23 If thou afflict them in any manner, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry;
23 Se de algum modo os afligirdes, e eles clamarem a mim, eu lhes ouvirei o clamor;
24 and my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.
24 a minha ira se acenderá, e vos matarei à espada; vossas mulheres ficarão viúvas, e vossos filhos, órfãos.
25 If thou should lend money to my people, to the poor [who is] with thee, thou shalt not be to him as a usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon him usury.
25 Se emprestares dinheiro ao meu povo, ao pobre que está contigo, não te haverás com ele como credor que impõe juros.
26 If thou at all take thy neighbour's clothing as a pledge, thou shalt deliver it unto him before the sun goes down;
26 Se do teu próximo tomares em penhor a sua veste, lha restituirás antes do pôr do sol;
27 for only that [is] his covering, it [is] his clothing to [cover] his flesh, in which he must sleep; and it shall come to pass, when he cries unto me, that I will hear, for I [am] merciful.
27 porque é com ela que se cobre, é a veste do seu corpo; em que se deitaria? Será, pois, que, quando clamar a mim, eu o ouvirei, porque sou misericordioso.
28 Thou shalt not revile the judges nor curse the prince of thy people.
28 Contra Deus não blasfemarás, nem amaldiçoarás o príncipe do teu povo.
29 Thou shalt not delay [to offer] the first of thy ripe fruits and of thy liquors; the firstborn of thy sons shalt thou give unto me.
29 Não tardarás em trazer ofertas do melhor das tuas ceifas e das tuas vinhas; o primogênito de teus filhos me darás.
30 Likewise shalt thou do with thine oxen [and] with thy sheep; seven days it shall be with his dam; on the eighth day thou shalt give it [to] me.
30 Da mesma sorte, farás com os teus bois e com as tuas ovelhas; sete dias ficará a cria com a mãe, e, ao oitavo dia, ma darás.
31 And ye shall be holy men unto me; neither shall ye eat [any] flesh [that is] torn of beasts in the field; ye shall cast it to the dogs.:
31 Ser-me-eis homens consagrados; portanto, não comereis carne dilacerada no campo; deitá-la-eis aos cães.
