1 If a man shall steal an ox or a sheep and kill it or sell it he shall restore five oxen for an ox and four sheep for a sheep.
1 Se alguém furtar boi ou ovelha, e o degolar ou vender, por um boi pagará cinco bois, e pela ovelha quatro ovelhas.
2 If a thief is found breaking into a house and is smitten so he dies, [he that killed him] shall not be guilty of his blood.
2 Se o ladrão for achado roubando, e for ferido, e morrer, o que o feriu não será culpado do sangue.
3 If the sun is risen upon him, [he that killed him] is guilty of his blood; [the thief] should make full restitution; if he has nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.
3 Se o sol houver saído sobre ele, o agressor será culpado do sangue; o ladrão fará restituição total; e se não tiver com que pagar, será vendido por seu furto.
4 If he is found with the theft in his hand, whether it be ox or ass or sheep, he shall restore double.
4 Se o furto for achado vivo na sua mão, seja boi, ou jumento, ou ovelha, pagará o dobro.
5 If a man shall cause a field or vineyard to be eaten and shall put in his beast and shall feed in another man's field; of the best of his own field and of the best of his own vineyard shall he make restitution.
5 Se alguém fizer pastar o seu animal num campo ou numa vinha, e largá-lo para comer no campo de outro, o melhor do seu próprio campo e o melhor da sua própria vinha restituirá.
6 When fires are lit and in burning the thorns burn also the stacks of sheaves or the standing grain, or the field is consumed; he that kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.
6 Se irromper um fogo, e pegar nos espinhos, e queimar a meda de trigo, ou a seara, ou o campo, aquele que acendeu o fogo totalmente pagará o queimado.
7 When a man shall deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep, and it is stolen out of the man's house; if the thief is found, let him pay double.
7 Se alguém der ao seu próximo dinheiro, ou bens, a guardar, e isso for furtado da casa daquele homem, o ladrão, se for achado, pagará o dobro.
8 If the thief is not found, then the master of the house shall be brought unto the judges [to see] whether he has put his hand unto his neighbour's goods.
8 Se o ladrão não for achado, então o dono da casa será levado diante dos juízes, a ver se não pôs a sua mão nos bens do seu próximo.
9 For all manner of fraud, [whether it be] for [an] ox, for [an] ass, for [a] sheep, for raiment, [or] for any manner of lost thing, which [another] challenges to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the judges; [and] whom the judges shall condemn, he shall pay double unto his neighbour.
9 Sobre todo o negócio fraudulento, sobre boi, sobre jumento, sobre gado miúdo, sobre roupa, sobre toda a coisa perdida, de que alguém disser que é sua, a causa de ambos será levada perante os juízes; aquele a quem condenarem os juízes pagará em dobro ao seu próximo.
10 If a man delivers unto his neighbour an ass or an ox or a sheep or any beast to keep, and it dies or is hurt or driven away, no man seeing [it],
10 Se alguém der a seu próximo a guardar um jumento, ou boi, ou ovelha, ou outro animal, e este morrer, ou for dilacerado, ou arrebatado, ninguém o vendo,
11 [then] shall an oath of the LORD be between them both, that he has not put his hand unto his neighbour's goods, and the owner of it shall accept [thereof], and he shall not make [it] good.
11 Então haverá juramento do Senhor entre ambos, de que não pôs a sua mão nos bens do seu próximo; e seu dono o aceitará, e o outro não o restituirá.
12 And if it is stolen from him, he shall make restitution unto its owner.
12 Mas, se de fato lhe tiver sido furtado, pagá-lo-á ao seu dono.
13 If it is torn in pieces, [then] let him bring witness, [and] he shall not make good that which was torn.
13 Porém se lhe for dilacerado, trá-lo-á em testemunho disso, e não pagará o dilacerado.
14 And if anyone borrows [anything] of his neighbour, and it is hurt or dies, its owner not [being] with it, he shall surely make [it] good.
14 E se alguém pedir emprestado a seu próximo algum animal, e for danificado ou morto, não estando presente o seu dono, certamente o pagará.
15 [But] if its owner [is] with it, he shall not make [it] good; if it [was] hired, it came for its hire.
15 Se o seu dono estava presente, não o pagará; se foi alugado, será pelo seu aluguel.
16 If a man should entice a virgin that is not betrothed and lie with her, he shall surely endow her and [take her] to be his wife.
16 Se alguém enganar alguma virgem, que não for desposada, e se deitar com ela, certamente a dotará e tomará por sua mulher.
17 If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.
17 Se seu pai inteiramente recusar dar-lha, pagará ele em dinheiro conforme ao dote das virgens.
18 Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.
18 A feiticeira não deixarás viver.
19 Whoever lies with a beast shall surely be put to death.
19 Todo aquele que se deitar com animal, certamente morrerá.
20 He that sacrifices unto [any] god, except unto the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed.
20 O que sacrificar aos deuses, e não só ao Senhor, será morto.
21 Thou shalt neither mistreat a stranger nor oppress him; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
21 O estrangeiro não afligirás, nem o oprimirás; pois estrangeiros fostes na terra do Egito.
22 Ye shall not afflict any widow or fatherless child.
22 A nenhuma viúva nem órfão afligireis.
23 If thou afflict them in any manner, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry;
23 Se de algum modo os afligires, e eles clamarem a mim, eu certamente ouvirei o seu clamor.
24 and my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.
24 E a minha ira se acenderá, e vos matarei à espada; e vossas mulheres ficarão viúvas, e vossos filhos órfãos.
25 If thou should lend money to my people, to the poor [who is] with thee, thou shalt not be to him as a usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon him usury.
25 Se emprestares dinheiro ao meu povo, ao pobre que está contigo, não te haverás com ele como um usurário; não lhe imporeis usura.
26 If thou at all take thy neighbour's clothing as a pledge, thou shalt deliver it unto him before the sun goes down;
26 Se tomares em penhor a roupa do teu próximo, lho restituirás antes do pôr do sol,
27 for only that [is] his covering, it [is] his clothing to [cover] his flesh, in which he must sleep; and it shall come to pass, when he cries unto me, that I will hear, for I [am] merciful.
27 Porque aquela é a sua cobertura, e o vestido da sua pele; em que se deitaria? Será pois que, quando clamar a mim, eu o ouvirei, porque sou misericordioso.
28 Thou shalt not revile the judges nor curse the prince of thy people.
28 A Deus não amaldiçoarás, e o príncipe dentre o teu povo não maldirás.
29 Thou shalt not delay [to offer] the first of thy ripe fruits and of thy liquors; the firstborn of thy sons shalt thou give unto me.
29 As tuas primícias, e os teus licores não retardarás; o primogênito de teus filhos me darás.
30 Likewise shalt thou do with thine oxen [and] with thy sheep; seven days it shall be with his dam; on the eighth day thou shalt give it [to] me.
30 Assim farás dos teus bois e das tuas ovelhas: sete dias estarão com sua mãe, e ao oitavo dia mos darás.
31 And ye shall be holy men unto me; neither shall ye eat [any] flesh [that is] torn of beasts in the field; ye shall cast it to the dogs.:
31 E ser-me-eis homens santos; portanto não comereis carne despedaçada no campo; aos cães a lançareis.
