1 The song of songs, which [is] of Solomon.
1 Cântico de cânticos, que é de Salomão.
2 Oh! if he would kiss me with the kisses of his mouth! for thy love [is] better than wine.
2 Beije-me ele com os beijos da sua boca; porque melhor é o seu amor do que o vinho.
3 Because of the savour of thy good ointments (ointment poured forth [is] thy name), therefore have the virgins loved thee.
3 Para cheirar são bons os teus unguentos; como unguento derramado é o teu nome; por isso, as virgens te amam.
4 Draw me after thee, we will run. The king has brought me into his chambers; we will be glad and rejoice in thee; we will remember thy love more than the wine; the upright love thee.
4 Leva-me tu, correremos após ti. O rei me introduziu nas suas recâmaras. Em ti nos regozijaremos e nos alegraremos; do teu amor nos lembraremos, mais do que do vinho; os retos te amam.
5 I [am] dark, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, more desirable as the booths of Kedar as the tents of Solomon.
5 Eu sou morena e agradável, ó filhas de Jerusalém, como as tendas de Quedar, como as cortinas de Salomão.
6 Do not look upon me because I [am] dark because the sun has looked upon me; my mother's sons were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards, [but] I have not kept my own vineyard.
6 Não olheis para o eu ser morena, porque o sol resplandeceu sobre mim. Os filhos de minha mãe se indignaram contra mim e me puseram por guarda de vinhas; a vinha que me pertence não guardei.
7 Tell me, O thou whom my soul loves, where thou dost feed, where thou dost make [thy flock] to rest at noon; for why did I have to be as a wanderer after the flocks of thy companions?
7 Dize-me, ó tu, a quem ama a minha alma: onde apascentas o teu rebanho, onde o recolhes pelo meio-dia, pois por que razão seria eu como a que erra ao pé dos rebanhos de teus companheiros?
8 If thou know not, O thou fairest among women, go forth, following the footprints of the flock and feed thy little female goats beside the booths of the shepherds.
8 Se tu o não sabes, ó mais formosa entre as mulheres, sai-te pelas pisadas das ovelhas e apascenta as tuas cabras junto às moradas dos pastores.
9 I have compared thee, O my love, to a mare of the chariots of Pharaoh.
9 Às éguas dos carros de Faraó te comparo, ó amiga minha.
10 Thy cheeks are beautiful between the earrings, thy neck between the necklaces.
10 Agradáveis são as tuas faces entre os teus enfeites, o teu pescoço com os colares.
11 We will make thee earrings of gold with studs of silver.
11 Enfeites de ouro te faremos, com pregos de prata.
12 While the king [was] on his couch, my spikenard gave forth its fragrance.
12 Enquanto o rei está assentado à sua mesa, dá o meu nardo o seu cheiro.
13 A bundle of myrrh [is] my wellbeloved unto me [that] rests between my breasts.
13 O meu amado é para mim um ramalhete de mirra; morará entre os meus seios.
14 My beloved [is] unto me [as] a cluster of camphire in the vineyards of Engedi.
14 Como um cacho de Chipre nas vinhas de En-Gedi, é para mim o meu amado.
15 Behold, thou [art] fair, my love; behold, thou [art] fair; thou [hast] doves' eyes.
15 Eis que és formosa, ó amiga minha, eis que és formosa; os teus olhos são como os das pombas.
16 Behold, thou [art] fair, O my beloved, and pleasant; also our bed [has] flowers.
16 Eis que és gentil e agradável, ó amado meu; o nosso leito é viçoso.
17 The beams of our house [are] cedar, [and] our rafters of fir.:
17 As traves da nossa casa são de cedro, as nossas varandas, de cipreste.
