1 And the lot for the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families was unto the border of Edom, even to the wilderness of Zin southward, at the uttermost part of the south.
1 A sorte da tribo dos filhos de Judá, segundo as suas famílias, caiu para o sul, até ao limite de Edom, até ao deserto de Zim, até à extremidade do lado sul.
2 And their south border was from the uttermost part of the Salt Sea, from the bay that looked southward.
2 Foi o seu limite ao sul, desde a extremidade do mar Salgado, desde a baía que olha para o sul;
3 And it went out southward of the ascent of Akrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and went up by the south of Kadesh-barnea, and passed along by Hezron, and went up to Addar, and turned about to Karka.
3 e sai para o sul, até à subida de Acrabim, passa a Zim, sobe do sul a Cades-Barneia,
4 And it passed along to Azmon, and went out at the Brook of Egypt; and the goings out of the border were at the sea; this shall be your south border.
4 passa por Hezrom, sobe a Adar e rodeia Carca; passa por Azmom e sai ao ribeiro do Egito; as saídas deste limite vão até ao mar; este será o vosso limite do lado sul.
5 And the east border was the Salt Sea, even unto the end of the Jordan. And the border of the north side was from the bay of the sea at the end of the Jordan.
5 O limite, porém, para o oriente será o mar Salgado, até à foz do Jordão; e o limite para o norte será da baía do mar, começando com a embocadura do Jordão,
6 And the border went up to Beth-hoglah, and passed along by the north of Beth-arabah; and the border went up to the Stone of Bohan the son of Reuben.
6 limite que sobe até Bete-Hogla e passa do norte a Bete-Arabá, subindo até à pedra de Boã, filho de Rúben,
7 And the border went up to Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is over against the ascent of Adummim, which is on the south side of the brook; and the border passed along to the waters of En-shemesh, and the goings out thereof were at En-rogel.
7 subindo ainda este limite a Debir desde o vale de Acor, olhando para o norte, rumo a Gilgal, a qual está à subida de Adumim, que está para o sul do ribeiro; daí, o limite passa até às águas de En-Semes; e as suas saídas estarão do lado de En-Rogel.
8 And the border went up by the Valley of the son of Hinnom unto the side of the Jebusite southward--the same is Jerusalem--and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lieth before the Valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the uttermost part of the vale of Rephaim northward.
8 Deste ponto sobe pelo vale do Filho de Hinom, do lado dos jebuseus do Sul, isto é, Jerusalém; e sobe este limite até ao cimo do monte que está diante do vale de Hinom, para o ocidente, que está no fim do vale dos Refains, do lado norte.
9 And the border was drawn from the top of the mountain unto the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities of mount Ephron; and the border was drawn to Baalah--the same is Kiriath-jearim.
9 Então, vai o limite desde o cimo do monte até à fonte das águas de Neftoa; e sai até às cidades do monte Efrom; vai mais este limite até Baalá, isto é, Quiriate-Jearim.
10 And the border turned about from Baalah westward unto mount Seir, and passed along unto the side of mount Jearim on the north--the same is Chesalon--and went down to Beth-shemesh, and passed along by Timnah.
10 Então, dá volta o limite desde Baalá, para o ocidente, até ao monte Seir, passa ao lado do monte de Jearim do lado norte, isto é, Quesalom, e, descendo a Bete-Semes, passa por Timna.
11 And the border went out unto the side of Ekron northward; and the border was drawn to Shikkeron, and passed along to mount Baalah, and went out at Jabneel; and the goings out of the border were at the sea.
11 Segue mais ainda o limite ao lado de Ecrom, para o norte, e, indo a Siquerom, passa o monte de Baalá, saindo em Jabneel, para terminar no mar.
12 And as for the west border, the Great Sea was the border thereof. This is the border of the children of Judah round about according to their families.
12 O limite, porém, do lado ocidental é o mar Grande e as suas imediações. São estes os limites dos filhos de Judá ao redor, segundo as suas famílias.
13 And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a portion among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua, even Kiriath-arba, which Arba was the father of Anak--the same is Hebron.
13 A Calebe, filho de Jefoné, porém, deu Josué uma parte no meio dos filhos de Judá, segundo lhe ordenara o Senhor , a saber, Quiriate-Arba, isto é, Hebrom; este Arba era o pai de Anaque.
14 And Caleb drove out thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak.
14 Dali expulsou Calebe os três filhos de Anaque: Sesai, Aimã e Talmai, gerados de Anaque.
15 And he went up thence against the inhabitants of Debir--now the name of Debir beforetime was Kiriath-sepher.
15 Subiu aos habitantes de Debir, cujo nome, dantes, era Quiriate-Sefer.
16 And Caleb said: 'He that smiteth Kiriath-sepher, and taketh it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter to wife.'
16 Disse Calebe: A quem derrotar Quiriate-Sefer e a tomar, darei minha filha Acsa por mulher.
17 And Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it; and he gave him Achsah his daughter to wife.
17 Tomou-a, pois, Otniel, filho de Quenaz, irmão de Calebe; este lhe deu a filha Acsa por mulher.
18 And it came to pass, when she came unto him, that she persuaded him to ask of her father a field; and she alighted from off her ass; and Caleb said unto her: 'What wouldest thou?'
18 Esta, quando se foi a Otniel, insistiu com ele para que pedisse um campo ao pai dela; e ela apeou do jumento; então, Calebe lhe perguntou: Que desejas?
19 And she said: 'Give me a blessing; for that thou hast set me in the Southland, give me therefore springs of water.' And he gave her the Upper Springs and the Nether Springs.
19 Respondeu ela: Dá-me um presente; deste-me terra seca, dá-me também fontes de água. Então, lhe deu as fontes superiores e as fontes inferiores.
20 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Judah according to their families.
20 Esta é a herança da tribo dos filhos de Judá, segundo as suas famílias.
21 And the cities at the uttermost part of the tribe of the children of Judah toward the border of Edom in the South were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur;
21 São, pois, as cidades no extremo sul da tribo dos filhos de Judá, rumo do território de Edom: Cabzeel, Éder, Jagur,
22 and Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah;
22 Quiná, Dimona, Adada,
23 and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan;
23 Quedes, Hazor, Itnã,
24 Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth;
24 Zife, Telém, Bealote,
25 and Hazor, and Hadattah, and Kerioth, and Hezron--the same is Hazor;
25 Hazor-Hadata, Queriote-Hezrom (que é Hazor),
26 Amam, and Shema, and Moladah;
26 Amã, Sema, Molada,
27 and Hazar-gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-pelet;
27 Hazar-Gada, Hesmom, Bete-Palete,
28 and Hazar-shual, and Beer-sheba, and Biziothiah;
28 Hazar-Sual, Berseba, Biziotiá,
29 Baalah, and Iim, and Ezem;
29 Baalá, Iim, Ezém,
30 and Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah;
30 Eltolade, Quesil, Horma,
31 and Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah;
31 Ziclague, Madmana, Sansana,
32 and Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon; all the cities are twenty and nine, with their villages.
32 Lebaote, Silim, Aim e Rimom; ao todo, vinte e nove cidades com suas aldeias.
33 In the Lowland: Eshtaol, and Zorah, and Ashnah;
33 Nas planícies: Estaol, Zorá, Asná,
34 and Zanoah, and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam;

35 Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah;

36 and Shaaraim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, with Gederothaim; fourteen cities with their villages.
36 Saaraim, Aditaim, Gedera e Gederotaim; ao todo, catorze cidades com suas aldeias.
37 Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad;
37 Zenã, Hadasa, Migdal-Gade,
38 and Dilan, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel;
38 Dileã, Mispa, Jocteel,
39 Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon;
39 Laquis, Boscate, Eglom,
40 and Cabbon, and Lahmas, and Chithlish;
40 Cabom, Laamás, Quitlis,
41 and Gederoth, Beth-dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen cities with their villages.
41 Gederote, Bete-Dagom, Naamá e Maquedá; ao todo, dezesseis cidades com suas aldeias.
42 Libnah, and Ether, and Ashan;
42 Libna, Eter, Asã,
43 and Iphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib;
43 Ifta, Asná, Nezibe,
44 and Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine cities with their villages.
44 Queila, Aczibe e Maressa; ao todo, nove cidades com suas aldeias.
45 Ekron, with its towns and its villages;
45 Ecrom com suas vilas e aldeias;
46 from Ekron even unto the sea, all that were by the side of Ashdod, with their villages.
46 desde Ecrom até ao mar, todas as que estão do lado de Asdode, com suas aldeias.
47 Ashdod, its towns and its villages; Gaza, its towns and its villages; unto the Brook of Egypt, the Great Sea being the border thereof.
47 Asdode, suas vilas e aldeias; Gaza, suas vilas e aldeias, até ao rio do Egito e o mar Grande com as suas imediações.
48 And in the hill-country: Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh;
48 Na região montanhosa: Samir, Jatir, Socó,
49 and Dannah, and Kiriath-sannah--the same is Debir;
49 Daná, Quiriate-Sana, que é Debir,
50 and Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim;
50 Anabe, Estemoa, Anim,
51 and Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven cities with their villages.
51 Gósen, Holom e Gilo; ao todo, onze cidades com suas aldeias.
52 Arab, and Rumah, and Eshan;
52 Arabe, Dumá, Esã,
53 and Janum, and Beth-tappuah, and Aphekah;
53 Janim, Bete-Tapua, Afeca,
54 and Humtah, and Kiriath-arba--the same is Hebron, and Zior; nine cities with their villages.
54 Hunta, Quiriate-Arba (que é Hebrom) e Zior; ao todo, nove cidades com suas aldeias.
55 Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Juttah;
55 Maom, Carmelo, Zife, Jutá,
56 and Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah;
56 Jezreel, Jocdeão, Zanoa,
57 Kain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten cities with their villages.
57 Caim, Gibeá e Timna; ao todo, dez cidades com suas aldeias.
58 Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor;
58 Halul, Bete-Zur, Gedor,
59 and Maarath, and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon; six cities with their villages.
59 Maarate, Bete-Anote e Eltecom; ao todo, seis cidades com suas aldeias.
60 Kiriath-baal--the same is Kiriath-jearim, and Rabbah; two cities with their villages.
60 Quiriate-Baal (que é Quiriate-Jearim) e Rabá; ao todo, duas cidades com suas aldeias.
61 In the wilderness: Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah;
61 No deserto: Bete-Arabá, Midim, Secaca,
62 and Nibshan, and the City of Salt, and En-gedi; six cities with their villages.
62 Nibsã, Cidade do Sal e En-Gedi; ao todo, seis cidades com suas aldeias.
63 And as for the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not drive them out; but the Jebusites dwelt with the children of Judah at Jerusalem, unto this day.
63 Não puderam, porém, os filhos de Judá expulsar os jebuseus que habitavam em Jerusalém; assim, habitam os jebuseus com os filhos de Judá em Jerusalém até ao dia de hoje.
