1 Nwunyẹ, mẹzikwọ ẹrịra. E humẹni di i isi, kẹni, ọsụọn'a nị o nwẹghọ ndị di kwerilẹni oku Osolobuẹ, e gi wẹ omumẹ nwunyẹ wẹ dọbanhan wẹ imẹ Osolobuẹ—bụ o nwọnni oku wẹ gwa wẹ;

2 makẹni di i k'a rị a hụn kẹ i dọn rị e bi ọhụnma, e gi egun Osolobuẹ e bi.
2 having witnessed your pure conversation {carried out} in fear;
3 Anịlẹ ni mma ụnụ wụrụ nke ẹhụ—mma ịchọ ntutu mma lẹ iyi goru lẹ iyi ẹkwa ma mma.
3 whose adorning let it not be that outward one of tressing of hair, and wearing gold, or putting on apparel;

4 but the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible {ornament} of a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is of great price.

7 {Ye} husbands likewise, dwell with {them} according to knowledge, as with a weaker, {even} the female, vessel, giving {them} honour, as also fellow-heirs of {the} grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.

9 not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing {others}, because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.
10 Makẹni Ẹhụhụọ-nsọ sị,
10 For he that will love life and see good days, let him cause his tongue to cease from evil and his lips that they speak no guile.
11 Ya gbakịtọ eje-ihiẹn azụụn—
11 And let him avoid evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it;
12 Makẹni,
12 because {the} eyes of {the} Lord {are} on {the} righteous, and his ears towards their supplications; but {the} face of {the} Lord {is} against them that do evil.
13 Onyẹ k'a sa nwan ẹka mẹ ụnụ ihiẹn ọwụlẹ omẹni ụnụ wụ ndị e mẹ ihiẹn rị mma?
13 And who shall injure you if ye have become imitators of that which {is} good?
14 Kanị, ọsụọn'a nị ụnụ ta afụnfụn makẹni ụnụ mẹ ihiẹn Osolobuẹ chọ, ya wụ nị ndị Osolobuẹ gọzi kẹ ụnụ wụ. Atụlẹ ni nwan egun wẹ; emẹhunmẹlẹ ni.
14 E até sereis felizes, se padecerdes alguma coisa por causa da justiça!
15 Ka yechanrịn nị Kraịstị ọnọdị run'ẹ imẹ obi ụnụ nọkẹ Di-nwẹni-ụnụ, ụnụ a kwademẹ ogẹn ile nị ọnụ a kọwanị onyẹ ọwụlẹ k'a jụ ụnụ ihiẹn haịn ụnụ gi nwọn olile-ẹnya ụnụ nwẹ.
15 Portanto, não temais as suas ameaças e não vos turbeis. Antes santificai em vossos corações Cristo, o Senhor. Estai sempre prontos a responder para vossa defesa a todo aquele que vos pedir a razão de vossa esperança, mas fazei-o com suavidade e respeito.
16 Ka e gi ni nwayọ lẹ mgbaye e mẹ ẹ. E dọnmẹ ni obi ụnụ ọchan, kẹni ifẹnrẹn mẹ ndị hụn e kutọ omumẹ ọma ụnụ rị e mẹ imẹ Kraịstị.
16 Tende uma consciência reta a fim de que, mesmo naquilo em que dizem mal de vós, sejam confundidos os que desacreditam o vosso santo procedimento em Cristo.
17 Makẹni ọ ka mma nị ịhịan gi ifiri ihiẹn rị mma o mẹ ta afụnfụn, omẹni uche Osolobuẹ rọ, karị nị ịhịan gi ifiri eje-ihiẹn o mẹ ta afụnfụn.
17 Aliás, é melhor padecer, se Deus assim o quiser, por fazer o bem do que por fazer o mal.
18 Makẹni, Kraịstị gi ifiri njọ tazịkwọ afụnfụn, nwụn; mgbe ohu k'ọ nwụn, ọ nwụnkọzị, Onyẹ rị ọchan hụn nwụnnị ndị njọ ọnwụn—kẹni ọ hụn ụzọ wẹhẹ ẹnyi ile ebe Osolobuẹ rị. Wẹ gbu ẹ, ọ nwụnhụn kẹ ịhịan dọn a nwụn, kanị Chuku nọ mẹ ẹ rị ndụn imẹ-mmọn.

20 ndị hụn gilẹni oku-Chuku wẹ gwa wẹ dọn ogẹn mbụ, ogẹn mbụ ahụn Osolobuẹ gi rị e din ndidi e che; ogẹn hụ Nua gi rị a tụn ụgbọ-mirin hụ. Ndị wẹ gi ya wụ ụgbọ-mirin zụọpụha ebuni ọda, ya wụ, wẹ rị madụ ẹsatọ sụọ; mirin ahụn kẹ wẹ ghaha zụọpụha wẹ.
20 quando Deus aguardava com paciência, enquanto se edificava a arca, na qual poucas pessoas, isto é, apenas oito se salvaram através da água.

21 Esta água prefigurava o batismo de agora, que vos salva também a vós, não pela purificação das impurezas do corpo, mas pela que consiste em pedir a Deus uma consciência boa, pela ressurreição de Jesus Cristo.
22 Jesu Kristi a lashigụọ nwan elu-igwee; ọ nọdị nwan ẹka-nni Osolobuẹ; ndị mmọn-ozi ile lẹ ọkịkị ile lẹ ikẹn ile rị nwan okpuru ẹ.
22 Esse Jesus Cristo, tendo subido ao céu, está assentado à direita de Deus, depois de ter recebido a submissão dos anjos, dos principados e das potestades.
