1 Ya wụ, wepụ nị nwan ụdị eje-ihiẹn ile ịhịan gi e sọn ibe ẹ, ẹro ile, ihunnaị, iwe-ẹnya lẹ nkutọ ile.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Rịkẹ ụmụ wẹ mụ nke ọhụn, a nị nị ẹkpịrị mirin-ẹran imẹ-mmọn hụn rị ọchan a dọ ụnụ—kẹni ụnụ hụn ụzọ a ra a, e gi ẹ e sue imẹ nzụọpụha ụnụ, d'e ru isi ẹ,
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 o mẹ nwan nị ezioku rọ nị ụnụ a danmịngụọ ẹfọma Di-nwọnni-ẹnyi, hụn a nị Di-nwọnni-ẹnyi rị mma.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Ụnụ a bịagụọ nwan d'e kunrun ẹ: ọmụma hụn rị ndụn—hụn ịhịan jụ; kanị ọmụma wẹ họrị ahọrị, rị okẹn mkpa, k'ọ wụ ẹnya Osolobuẹ.

5 Imẹ ẹ, onyẹ-onyẹ imẹ ụnụ wụzịkwọ ọmụma rị ndụn. Nọkẹ ọmụma ndị rị ndụn, ọ hụ e gi ụnụ a tụn ụlọ imẹ-mmọn, kẹni ụnụ hụn ụzọ wụrụ ndị nchụ-ẹjan rị nsọ, hụn gha ẹka Jizọsị Kraịstị a chụ ẹjan imẹ-mmọn hụn Osolobuẹ a nabanhan.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Makẹni, Ẹhụhụọ-nsọ e kugụụ a, sị,
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Ya wụ, ọmụma hụ rị ụnụ mkpa ọda-ọda—ụnụ ndị kwerini; kanị nke ndị hụn kwerilẹni—
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Ọ wụrụgụọzị
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Kanị, ụnụ nwẹn wụ agbọ Chuku họrị ahọrị; ndị nchụ-ẹjan Eze; ebọn rị nsọ; ndị nke Osolobuẹ—kẹni ọnụ hụn ụzọ e mẹ onyẹ ọwụlẹ a marịn okẹn ọrụn rị ichẹn-ichẹn Osolobuẹ rụnsọnmẹ, Osolobuẹ hụn kpọpụha ọnụ imẹ ishi bu ụnụ che imẹ ukpẹ ẹ rịgbu enwẹn ẹ mma.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Ogẹn mbụ, ụnụ “ẹlẹ ndị nke Osolobuẹ”, kanị, ụnụ a wụrụọlẹ nwan ndị nke ẹ; mbụ, “omikẹn ẹ ẹruni ụnụ ẹka”, kanị omikẹn ẹ e rugụọ nwan ụnụ ẹka.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Ndị rị m obi, m rị a rịọ ụnụ nọkẹ ndị ọbịa lẹ ndị rịlẹni anị wẹ, gbala nị nị ẹgụn ndị hụn a gụnsọnmẹ ịhịan hụn a lụsọn umẹ-ndụn ụnụ agha.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 E bi ni obibi kụrụ-ọtọ imẹ igunrun ndị alị ndị ọzọ rị ichẹn-ichẹn kwerilẹni; kẹni, ọsụọn'a nị wẹ e kuja oku ụnụ nọkẹ sị ụnụ e mẹ eje-ihiẹn, wẹ k'a gha a hụn obibi-ọma ụnụ—e gi w'ẹ ye Osolobuẹ ọghọ ogẹn o k'e gi bịa.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Gi ni ifiri Di-nwọnni-ẹnyi e humẹ ni ndị ile rị a kịnị isi—kẹ eze, hụn wụ onyẹ-isi ndị ọkịkị,

14 kẹ ndị Gọvanọ rị Azụụn ichẹn-ichẹn a kị—nọkẹ ndị eze zi d'e ye ndị e mẹ eje-ihiẹn afụnfụn, a ja ndị mẹ ihiẹn rị mma mma.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Makẹni uche Osolobuẹ wụ nị ụnụ gi imẹ ihiẹn furuni kpukin ndị-nzuzu rị e ku ihiẹn wẹ marịnlẹni ọnụ;
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 e mẹ n'ẹ kẹ ndị wụlẹni igbọn makẹni ụnụ e nwẹnringụọ enwẹn ụnụ; ka egikwọlẹ ni inwọnrin-enwẹn ụnụ kpu ẹnya, e mẹ eje-ihiẹn, ka bi ni kẹ ndị wụ igbọn okpuru Osolobuẹ.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 A gbaye ni ịhịan ile; e nwẹ ni ihiẹn-ọsụsụọ ndị Itu-Kraịst' ibe ụnụ; a tụ nị egun Osolobuẹ; a gbaye ni eze.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Ndị wụ idibo mọbụ igbọn, e welụachanrịn nị enwẹn ụnụ alị ebe ndị ụnụ rị okpuru wẹ rị, a gbaye wẹ ụzọ ile—ẹlẹ ndị-ẹfọma lẹ ndị ẹka-alụlụa sụọ, kanị kẹ ndị ẹka-ikẹn.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Makẹni, ihiẹn w'e gi ja ị mma rọ omẹni y'e mẹni eje-ihiẹn, e ye wẹ i afụnfụn furulẹni nị wẹ ye i bụ y'e gi ifiri Osolobuẹ dingbu ụfụ a.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Kị wụ erere i n'i dingbu ili wẹ gbu i, omẹni eje-ihiẹn i mẹ kẹ wẹ gi gbu i ya wụ ili? Kanị, omẹni y'a ta afụnfụn makẹni i mẹ ihiẹn rị mma, bụ y'e digbu ẹ, Osolobuẹ k'e gi ifiri ẹ gọzi i.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Ya kẹ wẹ kpọnị ụnụ; makẹni Kraịstị tazịkwọ nị ọnụ afụnfụn, latọ nị ọnụ ihiẹn ụnụ e leri, kẹni ọnụ hụn ụzọ e sọn nzọm'ụkụ a.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 O mẹtuni njọ;
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Ogẹn wẹ gi kpari ẹ,
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Kraịstị lẹ enwẹn ẹ gi ẹhụ a buru njọ ẹnyi, bu ẹ shi elu obe osisi ahụn, kẹni ẹnyi gi ẹhụ a nwụnnahịn njọ, gi ndụn ẹnyi mẹmẹ ihiẹn Osolobuẹ chọ. Ẹhụ wẹ rụsọnmẹ ẹ kẹ ẹnyi gi nwẹ nzụọrị.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Ụnụ te rị a kpahu kẹ atụnrụn, kanị ọnụ e kinhẹngụọ nwan, buru onyẹ hụn e du umẹ-ndụn ụnụ rịkẹ anụ, e chemẹ ẹ.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
