1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Mat nyangu mwunya ngu kɨvak yelavɨka tɨgandi. yelavɨka tɨnja vla God waa nyaangɨt wupmat ngwutno wupma yelavɨka alɨ ngwula. Wan nyaangɨt wuka apma maawut yelavɨka apma vat tɨgiyangwuk.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Ndɨna nyaangɨt kɨlɨnja apma nda vla lɨgandɨ. Tamba la nɨmba ndino pɨlɨwutndi. “Njambwi nya nɨn kat yilɨnda apma vat kalalaa kɨngwuk” waa lavu nyingamba pɨlɨwutndi.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.

5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.

7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Nat tamba la nyan an kambak kat ndɨno lavu nyingamba wupma pɨlɨwutndɨ.
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Ngwuk wupma ana lɨgangwuk. Ngwuk God yagwa waa nɨmba ngwuk. Ngwuk apma vat yiga yetɨlɨga mbaapma nɨmba ngwuk. Ngwuk Godna nɨmba ngwuk. Tamba kulun waa kavamba yetɨngwuk. God ngwuk kat yagwa ngwula waa wandɨ. Ngwuk kat yiwa apma vat yiga nat nɨmba kat ambuk ngwula waa wandɨ God.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Ngwuk tamba Godna nɨmba ana ngwuk. Mbambala tamba godna nɨmba ngwuk. Tamba God ndinyangu kat miwa yiga lɨnda vat ngwuk ana vɨga lɨngwuk. Mbambala tamba vɨga lɨgangwuk.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Wuna alɨ nɨmba ngwuk. Kan kɨpma ngwutna ngepma ana ndɨ. Ngwuk kapma ngepma nɨmba ngwuk. Kan kɨpmamba yetɨngwa njɨmbla ngwula mbangɨ waiga vak kat ke wukngwa. Ngwula mbangɨmba lɨga vatno ngwula maawupmba lɨga vatno mandɨp mandɨp nda mbɨk. Awat sowat walealɨgambɨt. Ngwula mbangɨ kat mɨna yelavɨkngweyan ngwula maawut kavle yigiyandɨ.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 God kat kai wala nɨmbanana tɨngwa njɨmbla apma mɨna yelavɨka yetɨ ngwula. Wupma yingweyan ngwuk kat vɨlaa kavle vat yiga yetɨga nɨmba ndi waa ana waigandi. Ngɨni God ngega yaiga nandinya yetɨngwa apma vak kat yelavɨtaa Godna sɨ kwutaa katsogiyandi.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Kan kɨpmana njambwi nɨmbana nyaangɨt ngwulo awuk ngwula. Nɨna njambwi nyan god ndɨno wupma yinangat wandɨ. Nɨna kɨpmana njambwi kingna nyaangɨt awuk ngwula.

14 Ndɨna kwupmba njambwi nɨmbana nyaangɨtno awuk ngwula. Kɨpmana njambwi King wandɨ maa ndino tɨgandi. Kavle nɨmba kat viyavat apma nɨmbana sɨ kwutaa katsovat tɨgandi.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 God wupma yinangat nɨn kat wandɨ. Wupma yingweyan ngwuk kat kavle nyaangɨt ngambuga njɨka walɨga nɨmba ndi ana nyaangɨt waigandi. Apma vat yiga yetɨngwa vak vɨlaa ndi nyaangɨt ana waigandi.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Njaambiya ngwuk kat ana vɨga lɨgandɨ. Njambiya lapman tɨga kavle vat yiga yetɨgiyanɨn waa ke yelavɨkngwa. Nat vak wagalalaa Godna njɨvwa mɨna akwuk ngwula.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Nat nɨmba kat ke kwusɨsɨlɨga njɨka wangwa. Ngwula kɨta mbaapma nɨmba kat nɨma maawut yelavɨka alɨ ngwula. God waa nyaangɨt awuk ngwula. Nɨna kɨpmana njambwi kingna nyaangɨt awuk ngwula.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Ngwuk njɨvwa kwutɨga nɨmba ngwula njambwi nyan ngwuk kat vɨga lɨga nyana kwundi awuk ngwula. Ndɨ kat kai waa ke wangwa. Apma vat tɨga nyana kwundi kavle vat tɨga nyana kwundio ndɨno awuk ngwula.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Apma vat yilɨngwuk, ngwuk kat viyanjeyan nɨmamba ke yelavɨkngwa. Ndi kat awat walea lapman yingwangat ngwuk kat God wandɨ. Ndi kat ana walea lɨgiyanɨn. God kai wandɨ waa yelavɨka yetɨngweyan God ngwuk kat apma wenga kwigiyandɨ.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Kavle vat yilɨngwuk, ngwuk kat viyanjeyan apma wenga ana klaigangwuk. Apma vat yilɨngwuk, ngwuk kat kwo viyanjeyan apma wenga klaigangwuk Godnanamba.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Wupma yilɨngwangat God ngwuk kat ndɨna mbaapmamba taagandɨ. Kraist ndɨno ndɨ kat kwo viyandi. Vak yiga lɨndɨ, ana viyandi. Ndɨno yinda vla ngwutno yigiyangwuk.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:

22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;

23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Kraist nɨna kavle vak klalaa diwai krosmba kaalandi, kiyandɨ. Kiyandɨ, nɨn kat vɨga lɨnda kavle vat ngɨlɨndɨ, apma vapmba yiga yetɨgiyanɨn. Ndɨ kat viyaga sɨndi maa ndɨ nɨn kat kwunatndɨ.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Nɨn tamba yambɨ sɨlɨwota sip sip vla lɨnɨn. Mbambala sip sip yɨga lan nyan kat lungwamataa yanɨn. Ndɨ nɨna maawut kat kwunaka nɨn kat vɨga lɨndɨ maa apma vat tɨgiyanɨn.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
