2 having witnessed your pure conversation {carried out} in fear;
3 Apaq enh toq ngè padì enh gùng troi padì xàc, axràng ca nhàn xam wang, loq eo cwàn nhòm nhìn hrìn,
3 whose adorning let it not be that outward one of tressing of hair, and wearing gold, or putting on apparel;
4 mahaq khòh loq enh ngè padì ùh jò leq hnhung, aih xam manoh habùat wa hatenh ŏi enh dalam; bìac aih dìq jaq lem lình enh ngìa Boc Plình.
4 but the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible {ornament} of a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is of great price.
5 Aih trong caq ŏi da 'bài mangai cadrì hadròih calah nèh ma i manoh ngèh gòm Boc Plình khoi padì ca dađeh, èh khoi loq iu tiaq dèh ŏng,
5 For thus also the holy women who have hoped in God heretofore adorned themselves, being subject to their own husbands;

7 {Ye} husbands likewise, dwell with {them} according to knowledge, as with a weaker, {even} the female, vessel, giving {them} honour, as also fellow-heirs of {the} grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.

9 not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing {others}, because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.
10 Ma jah 'màng aih:
10 For he that will love life and see good days, let him cause his tongue to cease from evil and his lips that they speak no guile.
11 Ep wia hangai ca bìac dù wa phai broq bìac lem;
11 And let him avoid evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it;
12 Ma jah 'màng aih mat Chuaq ngan hnoq mangai ta-atoq,
12 because {the} eyes of {the} Lord {are} on {the} righteous, and his ears towards their supplications; but {the} face of {the} Lord {is} against them that do evil.
13 Cabô jah broq 'mèq ca pì tàng pì broq bìac lem xam manoh panim?
13 And who shall injure you if ye have become imitators of that which {is} good?
14 Mahaq tàng pì chìuq nan xa taiq broq bìac ta-atoq, èh pì jah xôq. “Apaq yùq jò wì loq ta'nhùq, hadai apaq crè,”
14 E até sereis felizes, se padecerdes alguma coisa por causa da justiça!
15 mahaq phai padèch Chuaq Jêxu Crich đòiq Haq broq Craq ta manoh. Hloi hloi phai padon tèu hlài bàu da wì ma bòch gleq pì ma tiaq Chuaq, èh pì tèu wì haq xam manoh habùat wa manoh loq iu.
15 Portanto, não temais as suas ameaças e não vos turbeis. Antes santificai em vossos corações Cristo, o Senhor. Estai sempre prontos a responder para vossa defesa a todo aquele que vos pedir a razão de vossa esperança, mas fazei-o com suavidade e respeito.
16 Khòh wèq lem dèh manoh loq, đòiq ca mangai leq capoch bàu jù lê ca bìac caq ŏi lem da pì ta Chuaq Jêxu Crich, wì jah camaih.
16 Tende uma consciência reta a fim de que, mesmo naquilo em que dizem mal de vós, sejam confundidos os que desacreditam o vosso santo procedimento em Cristo.
17 Tàng Chuaq enh pì chìuq nan xa taiq pì broq bìac lem, aih lem yi hnao chìuq nan xa taiq broq bìac dù.
17 Aliás, é melhor padecer, se Deus assim o quiser, por fazer o bem do que por fazer o mal.
18 Ma jah 'màng aih Chuaq Jêxu Crich khoi cachìt ca tôiq lôi mòiq yàng raq khoi tôm tàu. Haq Mangai ta-atoq thai ca mangai ùh ta-atoq đòiq 'ràng bèn trùh ti Boc Plình. Phàn chac hamac Haq khoi chìuq cachìt, mahaq Haq khoi rìh hlài nhò Yiang Hadròih.
18 Pois também Cristo morreu uma vez pelos nossos pecados - o Justo pelos injustos - para nos conduzir a Deus. Padeceu a morte em sua carne, mas foi vivificado quanto ao espírito.

20 quando Deus aguardava com paciência, enquanto se edificava a arca, na qual poucas pessoas, isto é, apenas oito se salvaram através da água.

21 Esta água prefigurava o batismo de agora, que vos salva também a vós, não pela purificação das impurezas do corpo, mas pela que consiste em pedir a Deus uma consciência boa, pela ressurreição de Jesus Cristo.

22 Esse Jesus Cristo, tendo subido ao céu, está assentado à direita de Deus, depois de ter recebido a submissão dos anjos, dos principados e das potestades.
