1 Pedro 2
God Lavayiyat Aṅ Puhuvasiwni (HOPNT) vs VC
1 Paniqw ōviy uma nukpan’unaṅwat sohsok ayo yukuyani, pu sohsok unatwita, pu nawip’ew hintsatskiwhqata, pu k̇an’ewhtunatyata; pu nuhtumiq hiṅqaqwaniqey qe’totini.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Nen uma titipostuy puhunöṅakqamuy amún pīhut hin pas tuṅlay’yuṅqat pan it lavayit pas antsanihqat tuṅlay’yuṅwni; nen uma put akw wuṅwyani,
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Pi uma Tutuyqawhqat núokwayat pay aṅqw yukuyaqee.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Put hapi aw uma ökini, owat taytaqat antaqat aw’i. Ura as sinom put ayo tūvayaqw, God put namorsta, ispi pas hihk̇ay’taq’ö.
4 — ausente —
5 Noqw uma piw pas tayyuṅqat o’wat anyuṅqw, put akw God nēṅem kītani. Pep uma God eṅem hihta hintsatsk̇ani; piw Qahováriwtaqat Hikwsit ahpiy put aw hahlayhtiwisniqey aw nānoi’yuṅwe’, Jesus Christ ahpiy put unaṅwveyani.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Ura tutuvenit ep yan pey’ta: Meh, nu hapi it owat pas hihk̇ay’taqat namorstaqe, Zion ep ikiy ep tuyqaveq távini. Noqw put aw tuptsiwhqa hapi soon hamanhtini.
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 — ausente —
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 — ausente —
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Noqw uma hapi pas namorstiwyaqam sínomu, pas Moṅwit God awwat wimmoṅw’iwyuṅwa, sinom qahováriwyuṅqamu. God pas nāp umuy nēṅem sinota, uma put qaan’ewakw hintsakpiyat tunvotnayaniqat ōviy’o. Ura as uma qatalpuve yesq, pam qaan’ewakw tālat ep qátuhqey aṅqw umuy wáṅwayi.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Ura as uma qa sūp sínomu; nīk̇aṅw pu’ hapi uma God sínomatu. Ura as qa hak umuy ōkwatuwa; noqw pu’ hapi God umuy ōkwatuwa.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Pas aw iunaṅwamu, uma hapi pay qa yep sínomnik̇aṅw, pay hāk hinnumyaqat nu panwat umumi okiw paṅqawni: Uma umuhtokoy tuṅlayiyat qa aṅ hinwisni; taq pam hakiy hikwsiyat aw nāyawṅwu.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Aṅ qa tuptsiwni’yuṅqamuy amunawit uma suan yesni. Noqw puma as umuy qalomáovelayat, umuhlomahintsakpiy aw tayyuṅwe’ God pas hihtatotani, hisat pam pumuy amumi pohtaq’ö.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Uma sinmuy amuṅem hin hintaqat yukit aṅ ahsupoq k̇aptsi’yuṅwni, Tutuyqawhqat tunatyayat éṅemi. Uma moṅwit pas susmohpeqnihqat aw tūqayyuṅwni,
13 — ausente —
14 Pu imuy moṅw’oyiwyuṅqamuy put ahpiy ayatiwyaqamuy amumii. Puma pi qalomáhintsatsk̇aqamuy sivintoynayaniqe ōviy ayatiwya, pu aṅ súanhinwisqamuy tayawintiwisniqee.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Pi uma lomayesniqat pan God umuṅem tunatyawta. Noqw pan hapi aṅ an’ewakw wuwni’yuṅqam, ṅasta navoti’yuṅqam kurs hihta ep umuy ōvelantotani.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Uma qenive hoṅk̇ahk̇aṅw yesni. Nīk̇aṅw uma qa put aw yank̇ahk̇aṅw haqam qalomáhintsatsk̇aniqey wūwantotat, God tumal’aymatnihqey pan tunatyawyuṅwni.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Uma sohsokmuy k̇aptsi’yuṅwni; God tímuyatuy sohsokmuy amumi unaṅway’yuṅwni; pi uma nuhtum put tímatu. Uma God mamqasyani; moṅwit k̇aptsi’yuṅwni.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Uma aṅ tūtuwiktu, uma umuhmoṅwimuy k̇aptsi’k̇ahk̇aṅw amumi tūqayyuṅwni, aṅ lōlolmatuy, pu hakiy pāsyaṅwuqamuy qa púmuy‐sa amumii, aṅ a’nö unaṅway’yuṅqamuy amumi pīwu.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Pi hak qa hihta ep qaanhtit, okiwsaniwe’, God aw‐sa tayk̇aṅw aṅ kuyve’, pam hapi God unaṅwveni.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Nīk̇aṅw kurs pam hihta ep öwihiniwhte’, put ep wuvahtiwe’, pas piw nakwhani’taqw, ya hak sen put ep aw k̇ātaytani? Nīk̇aṅw kurs pam aw súanhte’, put ep okiwsaniwe’, ep nakwhani’te’, pam God unaṅwveni.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Pi pay núṅwupi uma nakwhani’yuṅwniqey aw wáṅwayniwya. Pi pay Christ piw itamuṅem k̇ānavotpit aṅ kuyvaqe, itam hinyuṅwniqat itamumi mahtakna, uma put an hinwisniqat ōviy’o.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Pam qa haqam hihta ep qaanhti, piw qa himu atsálvayi put moaṅaqw nö́ṅa.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Sinom put aqw hiṅqaqwaqw, pam qa tuwat pumuy amumiq hiṅqawu. Pam okiwsaniwk̇aṅw nāoyniqey qa paṅqawu. Pay panis pam God hihta aṅ pas suan yúkuṅwuqat aw nāmatavi.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Pam pas nāp itahqaanhtipuy tokoy ep yank̇aṅw nahoylehtsit ep hāyilti; nihqe tūhotiwhqe umuy qalaptsina. Noqw ōviy itam put amum so’qe qaanhtotiniqey qe’tote’, put amum yesk̇ahk̇aṅw suan hinwisni.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Pi uma as kanelmuy amún nāp haqami lasya. Nīk̇aṅw pu’ hapi uma umuhhikwsiy tumalay’maqat, pu umumi tunatyawmaqat aw ahoy öki.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
