1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Kale ngʼabaana abaibo owebali nʼeireke lyʼamata agababbeera okukula kusani, nywena mutyo mubbenge nʼeireke lyʼamata ga mwoyo ondiko igo agababbeera okukula omu bwomi bwʼomwoyo era kaisi mubbe balokole.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Kaisi inywe nago era mwamalire okuvumbula oMusengwa ngʼobwali dala musa.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Aale mwize eeri oYesu Kurisito oyo eibbaale eryomi abantu eribagaine, neye iye oKibbumba nʼamulonda era amutwala okubba owʼebbeeyi eino.

5 Era atyanu nywena muli ooti mabbaale amoomi, agebali kukolesyanga omu kwombeka enyumba eyʼomwoyo. Nʼekindi kiri kiti, muli kibbula kyʼabakabona abatukulye, era olwʼobubbeeri bwa Yesu Kurisito inywe muwaayo esadaaka egisangaalya oKibbumba.
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Era kiri nʼomu Biwandiike kiti:
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Nʼolwekyo eeri inywe abamwikiririryamu, eibbaale eeryo ikyo kintu kyʼebbeeyi ino. Neye ibo abatamwikiririryamu, eKiwandiike kibba kibatumulaku niibo, ikyo ekiti:
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Era kiti:
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Neye inywe muli bantu abalondemu, era muli bakabona ba Kabaka, era muli igwanga eritukulye, era muli bantu ba Kibbumba iye onyere. Kale nʼomu ngeri eyo kaisi olwo mwezye okulangiriranga ebisa byʼoyo iye eyabeetere okuzwa omu ndikiirya yʼobutamanya oKibbumba, okwingira omu kitangaala ekyʼokumanya oKibbumba.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Mwabbaireku bantu abanambulamu, neye atyanu muli bantu ba Kibbumba. Mwabbaireku nga tibabakwatiire ekisa, neye atyanu bakibakwatiire.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Kale bainange abatake, mbakubiriza nga inywe omuli ooti basenze era abageni oku kyalo, okwewalanga okwegomba okubbikubbi, ikwo nago okulwanisya emyoyo gyanywe.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Inywe mwebityenge kusani nʼomu bantu abataikirirya oKibbumba kaisi waire babatumulangaku kubbikubbi, neye era nga babona ebikole byanywe ebisa era baligulumalya oKibbumba oku lunaku oluyalisaliraku emisango.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Kale, okulwa Musengwa oYesu, mugonderenge nabuli bʼobwezye abebateeka omu bantu, abba kabaka aali nʼobwezye obukirira nakimo eino,

14 ooba abafugi abandi abebatuma okubonereza abo abakola ebisobyo era nʼokusiima abo abakola ebisa.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Ekyo kityo olwʼokubba oKibbumba ataka mukole ebikole ebisa okusirica entumula yʼobutamanya eyʼabantu abasirusiru.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Mubbenge bantu abali nʼeidembe, neye timwakolesyanga eidembe lyanywe okwebitya okubbikubbi era mwebityenge ngʼabaweererya ba Kibbumba.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Era mutyo muwenge abantu bonabona ekitiisya ekya makulu. Mutakenge oluganda olwʼomu kwikirirya, nʼokutya oKibbumba, nʼokuwa omufugi ekitiisya oyo akira obukulu ali ooti kabaka.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Kaisi inywe abagalama, muwulirenge abasengwa baanywe, nga mubaweera nakimo ino ekitiisya. Timwakolanga mutyo kubaabo bonkani abasa era abakwatampola, neye nʼabo abakambwe.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Ekyo kityo olwʼokubba oKibbumba asiima omuntu singa iye omuntu oyo agumira obulumi obwasuna olwʼokumugadya anambula nsonga, kasita omuntu nago nʼagumira lwakubba nti oKibbumba amubona ngʼagada.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Neye aale kikugasa kitya singa bakukubba olwʼokukola ekisobyo kaisi era nʼogumira? Neye aate ikyo kyesiimisya oKibbumba singa ogumira okugada nga lwʼokukola bisa.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Ekyo niikyo ekibabeeteire, olwʼokubba oKurisito bamugadirye okulwanywe, era ekyo nʼakibalekera ngʼekyokuboneraku, kaisi nywena mubite omu mbeera eri ooti yeeyo egiyabitiremu.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Era nʼeKiwandiike kikoba kiti:
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Cooka abantu owebamuzumire, iye tiyabazumire. Era owebamugadirye, iye tiyabeeyayiire, wazira yeewaireyo eeri oKibbumba iye oyo alamula emisango nga tasalirirya.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 OKurisito iye onyere yagadire oku musalabba oku lwʼabantu bonabona kaisi amaani gʼebibbibibbi gabbe nga tigakaali gabafuga era abantu babbeewo nga bakola bikole byʼobutuukirirye. Kale ebiwundu byʼemiigo egibamukubbire niibyo ebyatulamirye.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Ekyo kityo olwʼokubba mwabbaire mumamaalikire ooti ntaama egigotere, neye atyanu mwirire eeri oYesu iye alabirira obwomi bwanywe ooti muliisya alabirira entaama.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
