1 A prayer of David. Incline thine eare, O Lord, and heare me: for I am poore and needy.
1 Ó Senhor Deus, escuta-me e responde-me, pois estou fraco e necessitado!
2 Preserue thou my soule, for I am mercifull: my God, saue thou thy seruant, that trusteth in thee.
2 Salva-me da morte, pois sou fiel a ti; salva-me porque sou teu e confio em ti.
3 Be mercifull vnto me, O Lord: for I crie vpon thee continually.
3 Tu és o meu Deus. Tem compaixão de mim, Senhor, pois eu oro a ti o dia inteiro!
4 Reioyce the soule of thy seruant: for vnto thee, O Lord, doe I lift vp my soule.
4 Ó Senhor, alegra o coração deste teu servo, pois os meus pensamentos sobem a ti!
5 For thou, Lord, art good and mercifull, and of great kindenes vnto all them, that call vpon thee.
5 Ó Senhor, tu és bom e perdoador e tens muito amor por todos os que oram a ti.
6 Giue eare, Lord, vnto my prayer, and hearken to the voyce of my supplication.
6 Escuta, ó Senhor , a minha oração e ouve os meus gritos pedindo socorro!
7 In the day of my trouble I will call vpon thee: for thou hearest me.
7 Em tempos de angústia eu te chamo, pois tu me respondes.
8 Among the gods there is none like thee, O Lord, and there is none that can doe like thy workes.
8 Não há nenhum deus como tu, Senhor; não há nenhum que possa fazer o que tu fazes.
9 All nations, whome thou hast made, shall come and worship before thee, O Lord, and shall glorifie thy Name.
9 Todos os povos que criaste virão e se curvarão diante de ti. Eles louvarão a tua grandeza
10 For thou art great and doest wonderous things: thou art God alone.
10 porque tu és poderoso e fazes coisas maravilhosas. Só tu és Deus.
11 Teach me thy way, O Lord, and I will walke in thy trueth: knit mine heart vnto thee, that I may feare thy Name.
11 Ó Senhor Deus, ensina-me o que queres que eu faça, e eu te obedecerei fielmente! Ensina-me a te servir com toda a devoção.
12 I wil prayse thee, O Lord my God, with all mine heart: yea, I wil glorifie thy Name for euer.
12 Senhor, meu Deus, eu te louvarei com todo o coração e anunciarei a tua grandeza para sempre.
13 For great is thy mercie toward me, and thou hast deliuered my soule from the lowest graue.
13 Como é grande o teu amor por mim! Tu não deixaste que eu fosse levado para o fundo do
14 O God, the proude are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men haue sought my soule, and haue not set thee before them.
14 Ó Deus, estou sendo atacado por gente orgulhosa. Um bando de pessoas violentas está querendo me matar, pessoas que não querem saber de ti.
15 But thou, O Lord, art a pitifull God and mercifull, slowe to anger and great in kindenes and trueth.
15 Mas tu, Senhor, és Deus de compaixão e de amor; és sempre paciente, bondoso e fiel.
16 Turne vnto me, and haue mercy vpon me: giue thy strength vnto thy seruant, and saue the sonne of thine handmayd.
16 Olha de novo para mim e tem misericórdia de mim; dá-me a tua força e salva-me, pois eu te sirvo, como te serviu também a minha mãe.
17 Shew a token of thy goodnes towarde me, that they which hate me, may see it, and be ashamed, because thou, O Lord, hast holpen me and comforted me.
17 Ó Senhor Deus, dá-me uma prova da tua bondade! Então os que me odeiam verão que tu tens me ajudado e consolado e ficarão envergonhados.
