1 A song of degrees. I will lift mine eyes vnto the mountaines, from whence mine helpe shall come.
1 Cântico das peregrinações. Para os montes levanto os olhos: de onde me virá socorro?
2 Mine helpe commeth from the Lord, which hath made the heauen and the earth.
2 O meu socorro virá do Senhor, criador do céu e da terra.
3 He wil not suffer thy foote to slippe: for he that keepeth thee, will not slumber.
3 Ele não permitirá que teus pés resvalem; não dormirá aquele que te guarda.
4 Beholde, he that keepeth Israel, wil neither slumber nor sleepe.
4 Não, não há de dormir, nem adormecer o guarda de Israel.
5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shadow at thy right hand.
5 O Senhor é teu guarda, o Senhor é teu abrigo, sempre ao teu lado.
6 The sunne shall not smite thee by day, nor the moone by night.
6 De dia, o sol não te fará mal; nem a lua durante a noite.
7 The Lord shall preserue thee from all euil: he shall keepe thy soule.
7 O Senhor te resguardará de todo o mal; ele velará sobre tua alma.
8 The Lord shall preserue thy going out, and thy comming in from henceforth and for euer.
8 O Senhor guardará os teus passos, agora e para todo o sempre.
