1 Then Iaakob called his sonnes, and sayde, Gather your selues together, that I may tell you what shall come to you in the last dayes.
1 Jacó chamou seus filhos e lhes disse: "Reuni-vos, porque eu quero anunciar-vos o que vos há de acontecer nos dias vindouros:
2 Gather your selues together, and heare, ye sonnes of Iaakob, and hearken vnto Israel your father.
2 Ajuntai-vos e ouvi, filhos de Jacó. Escutai Israel, vosso pai.
3 Reuben mine eldest sonne, thou art my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellencie of dignitie, and the excellencie of power:
3 Rubem, tu és o meu primogênito, minha força, primícias do meu vigor. Notável em dignidade e notável em poder.
4 Thou wast light as water: thou shalt not be excellent, because thou wentest vp to thy fathers bed: then diddest thou defile my bed, thy dignitie is gone.
4 Transbordante como a água, não terás o primeiro lugar, porque subiste ao leito de teu pai, e desse modo maculaste o meu leito.
5 Simeon and Leui, brethren in euill, the instruments of crueltie are in their habitations.
5 Simeão e Levi são irmãos; suas espadas são instrumentos de violência.
6 Into their secret let not my soule come: my glory, be not thou ioyned with their assembly: for in their wrath they slew a man, and in their selfe will they digged downe a wall.
6 Minha alma não participe de suas maquinações, meu coração jamais se associe às suas reuniões! Porque em sua cólera mataram homens e em seu furor enervaram touros.
7 Cursed be their wrath, for it was fierce, and their rage, for it was cruell: I will deuide them in Iaakob, and scatter them in Israel.
7 Maldita cólera que os levou à violência, maldito furor que os induziu à crueldade! Hei de dispersá-los em Jacó, hei de espalhá-los em Israel.
8 Thou Iudah, thy brethre shall praise thee: thine hande shalbe in the necke of thine enemies: thy fathers sonnes shall bowe downe vnto thee.
8 Judá, teus irmãos te louvarão. Pegarás pela nuca os inimigos; os filhos de teu pai se prostrarão em tua presença.
9 Iudah, as a Lions whelpe shalt thou come vp from the spoyle, my sonne. He shall lye downe and couche as a Lion, and as a Lionesse: Who shall stirre him vp?
9 Filhote de leão, Judá: voltas trazendo a caça, meu filho. Dobra-se, deita-se como um leão; como uma leoa: quem o despertará?
10 The scepter shall not depart from Iudah, nor a Lawegiuer from betweene his feete, vntill Shiloh come, and the people shall be gathered vnto him.
10 Não se apartará o cetro de Judá, nem o bastão de comando dentre seus pés, até que venha aquele a quem pertence por direito, e a quem devem obediência os povos.
11 He shall binde his Asse foale vnto ye vine, and his Asses colte vnto the best vine. hee shall wash his garment in wine, and his cloke in the blood of grapes.
11 Amarra à videira o jumentinho, à cepa o filho da jumenta. Lava com o vinho suas vestes, com o sangue das uvas o seu manto.
12 His eyes shalbe red with wine, and his teeth white with milke.
12 O vinho aumenta o brilho de seus olhos, seus dentes são brancos como o leite.
13 Zebulun shall dwell by the sea side, and he shalbe an hauen for shippes: and his border shalbe vnto Zidon.
13 Zabulon habita à beira do mar, no litoral, onde aportam os navios, e seu flanco se estende por Sidon.
14 Issachar shalbe a strong asse, couching downe betweene two burdens:
14 Issacar é um jumento forte, deitado nos currais.
15 And he shall see that rest is good, and that the land is pleasant, and he shall bow his shoulder to beare, and shalbe subiect vnto tribute.
15 Vê que é bom o descanso e a terra agradável: curva os ombros sob a carga, sujeita-se ao tributo.
16 Dan shall iudge his people as one of the tribes of Israel.
16 Dã julgará seu povo, como uma das tribos de Israel.
17 Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder by the path, byting the horse heeles, so that his rider shall fall backward.
17 Dã será uma serpente no caminho, uma cobra na estrada, que morde a pata do cavalo e derruba o cavaleiro.
18 O Lord, I haue waited for thy saluation.
18 Espero em vosso socorro, Senhor!
19 Gad, an hoste of men shall ouercome him, but he shall ouercome at the last.
19 Gad será saqueado por quadrilhas de assaltantes, mas também os assaltará e perseguirá.
20 Concerning Asher, his bread shalbe fat, and he shall giue pleasures for a king.
20 Aser tem um pão saboroso, que constitui as delícias dos reis.
21 Naphtali shalbe a hinde let goe, giuing goodly wordes.
21 Neftali é uma gazela solta, que tem lindos filhotes.
22 Ioseph shalbe a fruitefull bough, euen a fruitful bough by the well side: the small boughs shall runne vpon the wall.
22 José é broto de uma árvore fértil, broto de uma árvore fértil junto à nascente: seus ramos crescem acima do muro.
23 And the archers grieued him, and shotte against him and hated him.
23 Provocam-no, atiram contra ele, atacam-no os flecheiros,
24 But his bowe abode strong, and the hands of his armes were strengthened, by the handes of the mighty God of Iaakob, of whom was the feeder appointed, by the stone of Israel,
24 mas, seu arco permanece firme, seus braços e mãos desembaraçados pelas mãos do Poderoso de Jacó, pelo nome do Pastor, que é a pedra de Israel,
25 Euen by the God of thy father, who shall helpe thee, and by the almightie, who shall blesse thee with heauenly blessinges from aboue, with blessings of the deepe, that lyeth beneath, with blessings of the brestes, and of the wombe.
25 graças ao Deus de teu pai, que te ajuda, graças ao todo-poderoso, que te abençoa com as bênçãos do céu altíssimo, com as bênçãos do profundo abismo, com as bênçãos dos peitos e do seio.
26 The blessings of thy father shalbe stronger then the blessings of mine elders: vnto the ende of the hilles of the worlde they shall be on the head of Ioseph, and on the top of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.
26 As bênçãos de teu pai sobrepujam as bênçãos das antigas montanhas, as aspirações das colinas eternas. Que elas desçam sobre a cabeça de José, sobre a fronte do príncipe de seus irmãos!
27 Beniamin shall rauine as a wolfe: in the morning he shall deuoure the pray, and at night he shall deuide the spoyle.
27 Benjamim, lobo voraz, de manhã devora a presa e à tarde reparte o despojo."
28 All these are the twelue tribes of Israel, and thus their father spake vnto them, and blessed them: euery one of them blessed hee with a seuerall blessing.
28 São estes todos que formam as doze tribos de Israel. Foi isso que lhes disse seu pai ao abençoá-los. A cada um deu uma bênção particular.
29 And he charged them and sayd vnto them, I am ready to be gathered vnto my people: burie mee with my fathers in the caue, that is in the fielde of Ephron the Hittite,
29 Em seguida, fez-lhes esta recomendação: "Eis que vou ser reunido aos meus. Enterrai-me junto de meus pais na caverna da terra de Efrom, o hiteu,
30 In the caue that is in the field of Machpelah besides Mamre in the land of Canaan: which caue Abraham bought with the fielde of Ephron the Hittite for a possession to burie in.
30 na caverna da terra de Macpela, defronte de Mambré, na terra de Canaã, essa caverna que Abraão havia comprado a Efrom, o hiteu, ao mesmo tempo que a terra, para ter a propriedade de uma sepultura.
31 There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife: there they buryed Izhak and Rebekah his wife: and there I buried Leah.
31 Foi aí que enterraram Abraão e Sara, sua mulher; foi aí que enterraram Isaac e Rebeca, sua mulher; e foi aí que enterrei Lia".
32 The purchase of the fielde and the caue that is therein, was bought of the children of Heth.
32 {Essa propriedade, bem como a caverna que nela se encontra, foram compradas aos filhos de Het.}
33 Thus Iaakob made an end of giuing charge to his sonnes, and plucked vp his feete into the bed and gaue vp the ghost, and was gathered to his people.
33 E, tendo Jacó dado aos seus filhos esta última recomendação, recolheu os pés em sua cama, e expirou. E foi reunido aos seus.
