1 Then Iaakob called his sonnes, and sayde, Gather your selues together, that I may tell you what shall come to you in the last dayes.
1 Então Jacó mandou chamar todos os seus filhos e lhes disse: “Reúnam-se ao meu redor, e eu direi o que acontecerá a cada um de vocês nos dias que virão.
2 Gather your selues together, and heare, ye sonnes of Iaakob, and hearken vnto Israel your father.
2 “Venham e ouçam, filhos de Jacó, ouçam Israel, seu pai!
3 Reuben mine eldest sonne, thou art my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellencie of dignitie, and the excellencie of power:
3 “Rúben, você é meu filho mais velho, minha força, o filho da minha juventude vigorosa; é o primeiro em importância e o primeiro em poder.
4 Thou wast light as water: thou shalt not be excellent, because thou wentest vp to thy fathers bed: then diddest thou defile my bed, thy dignitie is gone.
4 É, contudo, impetuoso como uma enchente, e não será mais o primeiro. Pois deitou-se em minha cama, desonrou meu leito conjugal.
5 Simeon and Leui, brethren in euill, the instruments of crueltie are in their habitations.
5 “Simeão e Levi são iguais em tudo; suas armas são instrumentos de violência.
6 Into their secret let not my soule come: my glory, be not thou ioyned with their assembly: for in their wrath they slew a man, and in their selfe will they digged downe a wall.
6 Que eu jamais esteja presente em suas reuniões e nunca participe de seus planos. Pois, em sua ira, mataram homens e, por diversão, aleijaram bois.
7 Cursed be their wrath, for it was fierce, and their rage, for it was cruell: I will deuide them in Iaakob, and scatter them in Israel.
7 Maldita seja sua ira, pois é feroz; maldita sua fúria, pois é cruel. Eu os espalharei entre os descendentes de Jacó, eu os dispersarei por todo o Israel.
8 Thou Iudah, thy brethre shall praise thee: thine hande shalbe in the necke of thine enemies: thy fathers sonnes shall bowe downe vnto thee.
8 “Judá, seus irmãos o louvarão; você agarrará seus inimigos pelo pescoço, e todos os seus parentes se curvarão à sua frente.
9 Iudah, as a Lions whelpe shalt thou come vp from the spoyle, my sonne. He shall lye downe and couche as a Lion, and as a Lionesse: Who shall stirre him vp?
9 Judá, meu filho, é um leão novo que acabou de comer sua presa. Como o leão, ele se agacha, e como a leoa, se deita; quem tem coragem de acordá-lo?
10 The scepter shall not depart from Iudah, nor a Lawegiuer from betweene his feete, vntill Shiloh come, and the people shall be gathered vnto him.
10 O cetro não se afastará de Judá, nem o bastão de autoridade de seus descendentes, até que venha aquele a quem pertence, aquele que todas as nações honrarão.
11 He shall binde his Asse foale vnto ye vine, and his Asses colte vnto the best vine. hee shall wash his garment in wine, and his cloke in the blood of grapes.
11 Ele amarra seu potro a uma videira, seu jumentinho a uma videira seleta. Lava suas roupas em vinho, suas vestes, no sangue das uvas.
12 His eyes shalbe red with wine, and his teeth white with milke.
12 Seus olhos são mais escuros que o vinho, seus dentes, mais brancos que o leite.
13 Zebulun shall dwell by the sea side, and he shalbe an hauen for shippes: and his border shalbe vnto Zidon.
13 “Zebulom se estabelecerá à beira-mar e será um porto para os navios; suas fronteiras se estenderão até Sidom.
14 Issachar shalbe a strong asse, couching downe betweene two burdens:
14 “Issacar é um jumento forte, que descansa entre dois sacos de carga.
15 And he shall see that rest is good, and that the land is pleasant, and he shall bow his shoulder to beare, and shalbe subiect vnto tribute.
15 Quando vir como o campo é bom e como a terra é agradável, curvará seus ombros para a carga e se sujeitará a trabalhos forçados.
16 Dan shall iudge his people as one of the tribes of Israel.
16 “Dã governará seu povo, como qualquer outra tribo de Israel.
17 Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder by the path, byting the horse heeles, so that his rider shall fall backward.
17 Dã será uma serpente à beira da estrada, uma víbora junto ao caminho que morde o calcanhar do cavalo e faz o cavaleiro cair.
18 O Lord, I haue waited for thy saluation.
18 Ó S enhor , espero pelo teu livramento!
19 Gad, an hoste of men shall ouercome him, but he shall ouercome at the last.
19 “Gade será atacado por bandos de saqueadores, mas os atacará quando baterem em retirada.
20 Concerning Asher, his bread shalbe fat, and he shall giue pleasures for a king.
20 “Aser se alimentará de comidas deliciosas e produzirá iguarias dignas de reis.
21 Naphtali shalbe a hinde let goe, giuing goodly wordes.
21 “Naftali é uma gazela solta que dá à luz lindos filhotes.
22 Ioseph shalbe a fruitefull bough, euen a fruitful bough by the well side: the small boughs shall runne vpon the wall.
22 “José é árvore frutífera, árvore frutífera junto à fonte; seus ramos se estendem por cima do muro.
23 And the archers grieued him, and shotte against him and hated him.
23 Arqueiros o atacaram brutalmente; atiraram nele e o atormentaram.
24 But his bowe abode strong, and the hands of his armes were strengthened, by the handes of the mighty God of Iaakob, of whom was the feeder appointed, by the stone of Israel,
24 Seu arco, porém, permaneceu esticado, e seus braços foram fortalecidos pelas mãos do Poderoso de Jacó, pelo Pastor, a Rocha de Israel.
25 Euen by the God of thy father, who shall helpe thee, and by the almightie, who shall blesse thee with heauenly blessinges from aboue, with blessings of the deepe, that lyeth beneath, with blessings of the brestes, and of the wombe.
25 Que o Deus de seu pai o ajude; o Todo-poderoso o abençoe com bênçãos dos altos céus, bênçãos das profundezas das águas, bênçãos dos seios e do ventre.
26 The blessings of thy father shalbe stronger then the blessings of mine elders: vnto the ende of the hilles of the worlde they shall be on the head of Ioseph, and on the top of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.
26 Que as bênçãos de seu pai ultrapassem as bênçãos de meus antepassados e alcancem as alturas das antigas colinas. Que essas bênçãos descansem sobre a cabeça de José, que é príncipe entre seus irmãos.
27 Beniamin shall rauine as a wolfe: in the morning he shall deuoure the pray, and at night he shall deuide the spoyle.
27 “Benjamim é um lobo voraz; pela manhã devora seus inimigos, ao entardecer divide o despojo”.
28 All these are the twelue tribes of Israel, and thus their father spake vnto them, and blessed them: euery one of them blessed hee with a seuerall blessing.
28 Essas são as doze tribos de Israel, e foi isso que seu pai disse ao despedir-se de seus filhos. Deu a cada um deles a bênção que lhe era adequada.
29 And he charged them and sayd vnto them, I am ready to be gathered vnto my people: burie mee with my fathers in the caue, that is in the fielde of Ephron the Hittite,
29 Em seguida, Jacó lhes deu a seguinte instrução: “Em breve morrerei e me reunirei a meus antepassados. Sepultem-me com meu pai e com meu avô na caverna no campo de Efrom, o hitita.
30 In the caue that is in the field of Machpelah besides Mamre in the land of Canaan: which caue Abraham bought with the fielde of Ephron the Hittite for a possession to burie in.
30 É a caverna de Macpela, perto de Manre, em Canaã, que Abraão comprou do hitita como sepultura permanente.
31 There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife: there they buryed Izhak and Rebekah his wife: and there I buried Leah.
31 Ali estão sepultados Abraão e sua mulher, Sara. Ali também estão sepultados Isaque e sua mulher, Rebeca. E ali sepultei Lia.
32 The purchase of the fielde and the caue that is therein, was bought of the children of Heth.
32 É o campo e a caverna que meu avô, Abraão, comprou dos hititas”.
33 Thus Iaakob made an end of giuing charge to his sonnes, and plucked vp his feete into the bed and gaue vp the ghost, and was gathered to his people.
33 Quando Jacó terminou de dar essa instrução a seus filhos, deitou-se em sua cama, deu o último suspiro e, ao morrer, reuniu-se a seus antepassados.
