1 Then Iaakob called his sonnes, and sayde, Gather your selues together, that I may tell you what shall come to you in the last dayes.
1 Jacó chamou os seus filhos e disse: — Fiquem em volta de mim, e eu lhes direi o que vai acontecer com vocês no futuro.
2 Gather your selues together, and heare, ye sonnes of Iaakob, and hearken vnto Israel your father.
2 “Fiquem reunidos em volta de mim para ouvir, filhos de Jacó; escutem o que diz Israel, o seu pai.
3 Reuben mine eldest sonne, thou art my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellencie of dignitie, and the excellencie of power:
3 “Rúben, você é o meu filho mais velho. Você é a minha força, o primeiro fruto do meu vigor, o mais orgulhoso e o mais forte dos meus filhos.
4 Thou wast light as water: thou shalt not be excellent, because thou wentest vp to thy fathers bed: then diddest thou defile my bed, thy dignitie is gone.
4 Você é violento como a correnteza, porém não será o mais importante, pois dormiu com a minha desonrando assim a cama do seu pai.
5 Simeon and Leui, brethren in euill, the instruments of crueltie are in their habitations.
5 “Simeão e Levi são irmãos; com as suas armas praticam violências.
6 Into their secret let not my soule come: my glory, be not thou ioyned with their assembly: for in their wrath they slew a man, and in their selfe will they digged downe a wall.
6 Não estarei presente quando fizerem planos, não tomarei parte nas suas reuniões, pois no seu furor mataram homens e por brincadeira aleijaram touros.
7 Cursed be their wrath, for it was fierce, and their rage, for it was cruell: I will deuide them in Iaakob, and scatter them in Israel.
7 Maldito seja o furor deles, pois é violento! Maldita seja a sua ira, pois é cruel! Eu os dividirei na terra de Israel, eu os espalharei no meio do seu povo.
8 Thou Iudah, thy brethre shall praise thee: thine hande shalbe in the necke of thine enemies: thy fathers sonnes shall bowe downe vnto thee.
8 “Judá, os seus irmãos o louvarão e se curvarão na sua frente. Você segurará os inimigos pelo pescoço.
9 Iudah, as a Lions whelpe shalt thou come vp from the spoyle, my sonne. He shall lye downe and couche as a Lion, and as a Lionesse: Who shall stirre him vp?
9 O meu filho Judá é como um leãozinho quando mata a sua vítima; ele se agacha e se deita como um leão e como uma leoa. Quem tem a coragem de mexer com ele?
10 The scepter shall not depart from Iudah, nor a Lawegiuer from betweene his feete, vntill Shiloh come, and the people shall be gathered vnto him.
10 Judá vai segurar o cetro de rei, e os seus descendentes sempre governarão. As nações lhe trarão presentes, os povos lhe obedecerão.
11 He shall binde his Asse foale vnto ye vine, and his Asses colte vnto the best vine. hee shall wash his garment in wine, and his cloke in the blood of grapes.
11 Ele amarra o seu jumentinho numa na melhor parreira que há. Ele lava as suas roupas no vinho, lava a sua
12 His eyes shalbe red with wine, and his teeth white with milke.
12 Os seus olhos estão vermelhos de beber vinho, os seus dentes estão brancos de beber leite.
13 Zebulun shall dwell by the sea side, and he shalbe an hauen for shippes: and his border shalbe vnto Zidon.
13 “Zebulom morará no litoral, onde haverá portos para navios. A sua fronteira chegará até Sidom.
14 Issachar shalbe a strong asse, couching downe betweene two burdens:
14 “Issacar é como um jumento forte, deitado entre as suas cargas.
15 And he shall see that rest is good, and that the land is pleasant, and he shall bow his shoulder to beare, and shalbe subiect vnto tribute.
15 Quando viu que o país era bom e agradável para descansar, ele se abaixou para que colocassem a carga nas suas costas e, sem reclamar, trabalhou como um escravo.
16 Dan shall iudge his people as one of the tribes of Israel.
16 “Dã governará a sua própria gente; será como as outras
17 Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder by the path, byting the horse heeles, so that his rider shall fall backward.
17 Dã será como uma cobra na beira da estrada, como uma serpente venenosa no caminho, que morde a pata do cavalo, fazendo cair para trás o seu cavaleiro.
18 O Lord, I haue waited for thy saluation.
18 “Ó Senhor , meu Deus, espero que me salves!
19 Gad, an hoste of men shall ouercome him, but he shall ouercome at the last.
19 “Gade será atacado por um bando de ladrões, mas depois ele os perseguirá.
20 Concerning Asher, his bread shalbe fat, and he shall giue pleasures for a king.
20 “A terra de Aser produzirá bons alimentos, dará alimentos que só reis merecem.
21 Naphtali shalbe a hinde let goe, giuing goodly wordes.
21 “Naftali é como uma corça solta que tem lindos filhotes.
22 Ioseph shalbe a fruitefull bough, euen a fruitful bough by the well side: the small boughs shall runne vpon the wall.
22 “José é como uma planta perto de uma fonte; ela dá muita fruta, e os seus galhos sobem pelo muro.
23 And the archers grieued him, and shotte against him and hated him.
23 Os inimigos o atacam com violência e o perseguem com os seus arcos e flechas.
24 But his bowe abode strong, and the hands of his armes were strengthened, by the handes of the mighty God of Iaakob, of whom was the feeder appointed, by the stone of Israel,
24 Porém o seu arco ficou firme, e os seus braços continuaram fortes pela força do Poderoso de Jacó, pelo nome do Pastor, a Rocha de Israel.
25 Euen by the God of thy father, who shall helpe thee, and by the almightie, who shall blesse thee with heauenly blessinges from aboue, with blessings of the deepe, that lyeth beneath, with blessings of the brestes, and of the wombe.
25 O Deus do seu pai ajudará José, o Todo-Poderoso lhe dará bênçãos — bênçãos do alto céu, bênçãos de águas que ficam debaixo da terra, bênçãos de muitos animais e muitos filhos,
26 The blessings of thy father shalbe stronger then the blessings of mine elders: vnto the ende of the hilles of the worlde they shall be on the head of Ioseph, and on the top of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.
26 bênçãos de cereais e de flores, bênçãos de montanhas antigas, coisas deliciosas dos montes eternos. Que todas essas bênçãos estejam sobre a cabeça de José, sobre a testa daquele que foi escolhido entre os seus irmãos.
27 Beniamin shall rauine as a wolfe: in the morning he shall deuoure the pray, and at night he shall deuide the spoyle.
27 “Benjamim é como um lobo feroz; de manhã devorará a vítima e de tarde repartirá as sobras.”
28 All these are the twelue tribes of Israel, and thus their father spake vnto them, and blessed them: euery one of them blessed hee with a seuerall blessing.
28 São essas as doze tribos de Israel, e foram essas as palavras que o pai disse aos seus filhos quando os abençoou; a cada um deu uma bênção especial.
29 And he charged them and sayd vnto them, I am ready to be gathered vnto my people: burie mee with my fathers in the caue, that is in the fielde of Ephron the Hittite,
29 Então Jacó deu aos filhos a seguinte ordem: — Eu estou para morrer e me reunir com o meu povo no
30 In the caue that is in the field of Machpelah besides Mamre in the land of Canaan: which caue Abraham bought with the fielde of Ephron the Hittite for a possession to burie in.
30 em Macpela, a leste de Manre, no país de Canaã. Abraão comprou de Efrom essa caverna e o terreno onde ela fica, para ser a sepultura da família.
31 There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife: there they buryed Izhak and Rebekah his wife: and there I buried Leah.
31 Ali estão sepultados Abraão e Sara, a sua mulher; Isaque e a sua mulher Rebeca; e ali eu sepultei Leia.
32 The purchase of the fielde and the caue that is therein, was bought of the children of Heth.
32 O terreno e a caverna foram comprados dos heteus.
33 Thus Iaakob made an end of giuing charge to his sonnes, and plucked vp his feete into the bed and gaue vp the ghost, and was gathered to his people.
33 Quando acabou de dar essa ordem aos filhos, Jacó deitou-se de novo na cama e morreu, indo reunir-se assim com o seu povo no mundo dos mortos.
