1 Qasseka Yesusi hara leemiso,
1 Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por meio de parábolas:
2 «Salo Kawoteththi ba naas sarge giigsida issi kawo misatawus.
2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,
3 Kawoykka diggisas yootidayta xeyganaas ba ashkarata yeddides; xeygettidaytikka, ‹Nu bookko› gida.
3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.
4 «Qasseka hara ashkarata, ‹Kase isttas yootidayta hekko ta sanga booratanne modhdhida meheta shukkada diggisa giigsadis; wurikka giigettida gishshas sargeso haa yiite!› giidi yootite.
4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 Xeygettidayti gidikko iza xeyssaa wudan yeggontta aggidi issoy ba goshshasoho, issoy ba zal7eso bides.
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 Hankko attidayta ashkarati oykkidi daro waayisidi wodhida.
6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 «Kawoykka hanqettidi wottadarata yeddidi ashkaraza wodhidayta dhayssides; istta katamaa xuuggides.
7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 Ba ashkaratakka, ‹Sargeza diggisay giigides; gido attiin sargezaso xeygettidayti sarges bessizayta gidibeettenna.
8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 Gede oge bolla kezidi intte demmida as ubbaa haa diggisaso xeygite› gides.
9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 Ashkaratikka oge bolla kezidi ba demmidayta lo7otakka iitatakka ubbaa shiishshidi sargezaso imath kunththida.
10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 «Kawoykka xeygettida imaththaa beyanaas soo geliza wode sarge may7o may7ontta as demmides.
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 ‹Haysso! Sarge may7o may7ontta waanada haa gelanaas dandayadii?› gi oychchiin addezas zaarana qaalay dhaydes.
12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 Kawoykka ba ashkarata, ‹Hayssa addeza tohonne kushe shiishshi qachchidi heen karen diza dhumaan kessi olite; heen yeehonne achcha garccech gidana.›
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 «Xeygettidayti darota; doorettidayti gidikko guuththata» gi yootides.
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
15 Hessafe guye Farsaaweti kezi bishe, «Iza doonappe bala qaala wostti demmi oykkinoo?» giidi zorettida.

16 Bana kaallizayta Herdoosa asatara izakko kiittidi, «Astamaaree! Neni tumanchchanne Xoossa oge tumappe tamaarsizaade gididayssanne oonaska dumma maado ooththontta ubbaaka issi mala ne xeellizayssa nu eroos.
16 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men's person;
17 Nees ay misatizaakko ane nuus yoota; Qeesaares giira qanxxanaas bessizee? Bessennee?» gida.
17 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?

18 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?

19 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
20 Izikka, «Hayssa miishshaa bolla diza misleynne xaafettida sunththay oonayssee?» gides.
20 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
21 Isttika izas, «Qeesaareyssa» gida. Izikka isttas zaaridi, «Qeesaareyssa Qeesaares, Xoossayssa Xoossas immite» gides.
21 They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.
22 Hessa siyidi istti malalettidi iza aggi bida.
22 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
23 «Hayqqidaytas dendoy baa» giidi ammaniza Saduqaaweti he gallas Yesusaakko shiiqidi,

24 «Astamaaree! Musey, ‹Issaadey machcho ekkidi naa yelontta hayqqiko iza ishay hayqqidayssa machcho ekkidi ba ishaa laattiza naa izas yelo› gides.
24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.
25 Nu achchan laappun ishati deettes shin koyro ishay machcho ekkidi naa yelontta hayqqida gishshas kaalo ishay iza machcheyo ekkides.
25 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.
26 Nam7anththo ishaykka hayqqida ishaaththo naa yelontta hayqqides; hessaththoka hanishin maccassaya laappunththa ishaa geladus.
26 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.
27 Wurseththan maccassaya hayqqadus.
27 And last of all the woman also died.
28 Hessa gishshas laappunati wurikka izo ekkidashin hayqoppe denththa gallas maccassaya laappunatappe awayssa machcho gidanee?» gida.
28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?
29 Yesusikka isttas zaaridi, «Geeshsha Maxaafatanne Xoossa wolqqa intte erontta gishshas baletteeta.
29 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
30 Hayqoppe dendidaappe guye asay salo kiitanchchata mala gidana attiin eketettenanne gelettenna.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.

31 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:

32 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.

36 Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?

37 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.
38 Hayssi koyronne ubbaafe aadhdhiza azazo.
38 Este é o maior e o primeiro mandamento.
39 Nam7anththoyka iza misatees, hessika, ‹Ne shooro ne hu7e mala dosa› gizayssa.
39 E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás teu próximo como a ti mesmo {Lv 19,18}.
40 Muse wogaynne nabeta timirtey wurikka hayta nam7u azazotan qashettees» gides.
40 Nesses dois mandamentos se resumem toda a lei e os profetas.
41 Farsaaweti issi bolla shiiqetti dishin Yesusi istta,
41 Como os fariseus se agrupassem, Jesus interrogou-os:
42 «Kirstoosa gishshas intte ay geetii? Izi oona naa?» gi oychchides; isttika izas zaaridi, «Izi Dawite naa» gida.
42 Que pensais vós de Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam: De Davi!

43 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:

44 O Senhor disse a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés {Sl 109,1}?
45 Hessa gishshas Dawiti iza, ‹Ta Godaa› giidi xeygikko waanidi izas naa gidana dandayzee?»
45 Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?
46 Izas issi qaala zaarana dandayda asi woykko he gallassafe simmiin iza oysho oychchana xalida asi oonikka beettibeenna.
46 Ninguém pôde responder-lhe nada. E, depois daquele dia, ninguém mais ousou interrogá-lo.
