4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 Amma noddaaɓe ɓeen limtaay mo baa, ɓe naati haaju maɓɓe : Oo yehi ngesa mum, ooto duu naati haaju mum.
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 Hoddiiɓe ɓeen nanngi gollooɓe ɓeen, torri ɓe, mbari ɓe.
6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 Laamiiɗo oon tikki, lili soogeeji mum mbarowa waruɓe lilaaɓe ɓeen, ɓe mbula wurooji maɓɓe.
7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 Gaɗa mum, o wi'i gollooɓe makko ɓeen : « Nyaamdu welwelo am nduun moƴƴinaama, amma noddaaɓe ɓeen kaandinaaka ndu.
8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 Ndenne, ummee njehee dow laabi mawɗi, noddon neɗɗo fuu mo pottuɗon wara nyaama. »
9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 Gollooɓe ɓeen ummii njehi dow laabi ɗiin, noddi mo ɓe potti fuu. Bonɗo yahde moƴƴuɗo faa wuro jom ɓanngal oon heewi himɓe pet.
10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 Wakkati laamiiɗo oon naatunoo faa hi'a noddaaɓe ɓeen, sey o holliri gorko gom mo ɓornaaki kolte ɓanngal ngaal.
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 Nden o wi'i mo : « Higo, noy naatirɗaa ɗo, dey a ɓornaaki kolte ɓanngal ngaal ? » Amma oon wi'aay mo fuy.
12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 Sey laamiiɗo oon wi'i gollooɓe mum : « Nanngee mo, kaɓɓee juuɗe makko he koyɗe makko, paɗɗon mo toon yaasin nder nimre. Toon o woyan, omo ŋerƴodira nyiiƴe. »
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 Nden Iisa wi'i :
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.

20 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?

21 They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.

22 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
23 Nder nyalooma gooto oon, himɓe gom, wonɓe nder hawriine *Sadduki'en ngari to Iisa. Kamɓe ngoni yeddooɓe no mbi'a ko maayɗo fuu ummitittaako.

24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.

25 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.

26 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.

28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?
29 Nden Iisa jaabii ɓe, wi'i :
29 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.

30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.

31 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:

32 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.

35 e um deles, doutor da lei, fez-lhe esta pergunta para pô-lo à prova:

36 Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?
37 Iisa jaabii mo, wi'i :
37 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.

40 Nesses dois mandamentos se resumem toda a lei e os profetas.
41 Wakkati *Fariisa'en kawrunoo nokkuure worre, sey Iisa ƴami ɓe, wi'i :
41 Como os fariseus se agrupassem, Jesus interrogou-os:
42 —Ɗume miiliɗon dow *Almasiihu ? O taan moy ?
42 Que pensais vós de Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam: De Davi!
43 O wi'i ɓe kaden :
43 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:
44 Alla Joomiraawo wi'i Joomiraawo am :
44 O Senhor disse a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés {Sl 109,1}?
45 Nde nii Daawda noddiri mo Joomiraawo, ndenne, noy o laatortoo taanum tan ?
45 Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?
46 Ɓe fuu ɓe keppi jaabaade mo. Illa nyannde mum, neɗɗo fuu suusaay ƴamude mo goɗɗum kaden.
46 Ninguém pôde responder-lhe nada. E, depois daquele dia, ninguém mais ousou interrogá-lo.
