1 THE RECORD of the generation of Jeshu the Meshicha, the son of David, son of Abraham.
1 O livro da geração de Jesus Cristo, filho de Davi, filho de Abraão.
2 Abraham begat Ishok, Ishok begat Jakub, Jakub begat Jehuda and his brethren,
2 Abraão gerou a Isaque, e Isaque gerou a Jacó, e Jacó gerou a Judá e a seus irmãos;
3 Jehuda begat Pharets and Zoroch from Thomar. Pharets begat Hetsron, Hetsron begat Arom,
3 e Judá gerou a Perez e Zerá, de Tamar, e Perez gerou a Esrom, e Esrom gerou a Arão;
4 Arom begat Aminodob, Aminodob begat Nachshun, Nachshun begat Salmun,

5 Salmun begat Booz from Rochab, Booz begat Ubid from Ruth, Ubid begat Ishai,

6 Ishai begat David the king; David begat Shelemun from the wife of Uria;

9 e Uzias gerou a Jotão, e Jotão gerou a Acaz, e Acaz gerou a Ezequias;
10 Hezakia begat Menasha, Menasha begat Amun, Amun begat Jushia,
10 e Ezequias gerou a Manassés, e Manassés gerou a Amom, e Amom gerou a Josias;
11 Jushia begat Jukania and his brethren at the exile of Bobel.
11 e Josias gerou a Jeconias e a seus irmãos aproximadamente no tempo da deportação para a Babilônia.
12 And after the exile of Bobel Jukania begat Shalathiel, Shalathiel begat Zurbobel,
12 Após a deportação para a Babilônia, Jeconias gerou a Salatiel, e Salatiel gerou a Zorobabel;
13 Zurbobel begat Abiud, Abiud begat Aliakim, Aliakim begat Ozur,
13 e Zorobabel gerou a Abiúde, e Abiúde gerou a Eliaquim, e Eliaquim gerou a Azor;
14 Ozur begat Zoduk, Zoduk begat Akin, Akin begat Aliud,
14 e Azor gerou a Sadoque, e Sadoque gerou a Aquim, e Aquim gerou a Eliúde;
15 Aliud begat Aliozar, Aliozar begat Mathan, Mathan begat Jakub,
15 e Eliúde gerou a Eleazar, e Eleazar gerou a Matã, e Matã gerou a Jacó;
16 Jakub begat Jauseph, husband of Mariam, of whom was born JESHU who is called the Meshicha.
16 e Jacó gerou a José, marido de Maria, da qual nasceu Jesus, que se chama o Cristo.
17 Thus all the generations from Abraham to David (were) fourteen generations; and from David to the exile of Bobel, fourteen generations; and from the exile of Bobel to the Meshicha, fourteen generations.
17 Portanto, todas as gerações, desde Abraão até Davi, são catorze gerações; e desde Davi até a deportação para a Babilônia, são catorze gerações; e desde a deportação da Babilônia até Cristo, são catorze gerações.
18 NOW the nativity of Jeshu the Meshicha was thus: While Mariam his mother was betrothed to Jauseph, before they could be consociated, she was found to be with child from the Spirit of Holiness.
18 Ora, o nascimento de Jesus Cristo se deu do seguinte modo: Estando Maria, sua mãe, desposada com José, antes de se ajuntarem, ela foi encontrada grávida do Espírito Santo.
19 But Jauseph her husband was just, and, not willing to defame her, meditated privately to release her.
19 Então José, seu marido, sendo um homem justo, não querendo fazer dela um exemplo público, estava disposto a deixá-la em secreto.
20 But while (on) these (things) he reflected, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, and said to him, Jauseph, son of David, fear not to take Mariam thy wife; for that which is conceived in her is from the Spirit of Holiness.
20 Mas enquanto pensava nestas questões, eis que o anjo do Senhor lhe apareceu em sonho, dizendo: José, filho de Davi, não temas em tomar para ti Maria, tua esposa, pois o que nela está concebido é do Espírito Santo.
21 She shall give birth to a son, and thou shalt call his name JESHU; for he shall save his people from their sins.
21 E ela dará à luz um filho e chamarás o seu nome Jesus; pois ele salvará o seu povo dos seus pecados.
22 Now all this was done, that what was spoken from the Lord by the prophet might be fulfilled:
22 Ora, tudo isso aconteceu para que pudesse se cumprir o que foi dito pelo Senhor através do profeta, dizendo:
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth the son, and they shall call his name Amanuel; which is interpreted, With us (is) our Aloha.
23 Eis que uma virgem conceberá, e dará à luz um filho, e eles chamarão seu nome Emanuel, que sendo interpretado é, Deus conosco.
24 Then Jauseph, when he had arisen from his sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took unto him his wife;
24 Então José, sendo levantado do sono, fez como o anjo do Senhor lhe ordenara, e tomou para ele a sua esposa.
25 and knew her not until she had given birth to her son, the firstborn; and she called his name Jeshu.
25 E não a conheceu até que ela gerou seu filho primogênito, e chamou o seu nome Jesus.
