1 THE RECORD of the generation of Jeshu the Meshicha, the son of David, son of Abraham.
1 Livro da genealogia de Jesus Cristo, filho de Davi, filho de Abraão.
2 Abraham begat Ishok, Ishok begat Jakub, Jakub begat Jehuda and his brethren,
2 Abraão gerou a Isaque; Isaque, a Jacó; Jacó, a Judá e a seus irmãos;
3 Jehuda begat Pharets and Zoroch from Thomar. Pharets begat Hetsron, Hetsron begat Arom,
3 Judá gerou de Tamar a Perez e a Zera; Perez gerou a Esrom; Esrom, a Arão;
4 Arom begat Aminodob, Aminodob begat Nachshun, Nachshun begat Salmun,
4 Arão gerou a Aminadabe; Aminadabe, a Naassom; Naassom, a Salmom;
5 Salmun begat Booz from Rochab, Booz begat Ubid from Ruth, Ubid begat Ishai,
5 Salmom gerou de Raabe a Boaz; este, de Rute, gerou a Obede; e Obede, a Jessé;
6 Ishai begat David the king; David begat Shelemun from the wife of Uria;
6 Jessé gerou ao rei Davi; e o rei Davi, a Salomão, da que fora mulher de Urias;
7 Shelemun begat Rehebaam, Rehebaam begat Abia, Abia begat Asa,
7 Salomão gerou a Roboão; Roboão, a Abias; Abias, a Asa;
8 Asa begat Johushaphat, Johushaphat begat Jurom, Jurom begat Uzia,
8 Asa gerou a Josafá; Josafá, a Jorão; Jorão, a Uzias;
9 Uzia begat Juthom, Juthom begat Ahaz, Ahaz begat Hezakia,
9 Uzias gerou a Jotão; Jotão, a Acaz; Acaz, a Ezequias;
10 Hezakia begat Menasha, Menasha begat Amun, Amun begat Jushia,
10 Ezequias gerou a Manassés; Manassés, a Amom; Amom, a Josias;
11 Jushia begat Jukania and his brethren at the exile of Bobel.
11 Josias gerou a Jeconias e a seus irmãos, no tempo do exílio na Babilônia.
12 And after the exile of Bobel Jukania begat Shalathiel, Shalathiel begat Zurbobel,
12 Depois do exílio na Babilônia, Jeconias gerou a Salatiel; e Salatiel, a Zorobabel;
13 Zurbobel begat Abiud, Abiud begat Aliakim, Aliakim begat Ozur,
13 Zorobabel gerou a Abiúde; Abiúde, a Eliaquim; Eliaquim, a Azor;
14 Ozur begat Zoduk, Zoduk begat Akin, Akin begat Aliud,
14 Azor gerou a Sadoque; Sadoque, a Aquim; Aquim, a Eliúde;
15 Aliud begat Aliozar, Aliozar begat Mathan, Mathan begat Jakub,
15 Eliúde gerou a Eleazar; Eleazar, a Matã; Matã, a Jacó.
16 Jakub begat Jauseph, husband of Mariam, of whom was born JESHU who is called the Meshicha.
16 E Jacó gerou a José, marido de Maria, da qual nasceu Jesus, que se chama o Cristo.
17 Thus all the generations from Abraham to David (were) fourteen generations; and from David to the exile of Bobel, fourteen generations; and from the exile of Bobel to the Meshicha, fourteen generations.
17 De sorte que todas as gerações, desde Abraão até Davi, são catorze; desde Davi até ao exílio na Babilônia, catorze; e desde o exílio na Babilônia até Cristo, catorze.
18 NOW the nativity of Jeshu the Meshicha was thus: While Mariam his mother was betrothed to Jauseph, before they could be consociated, she was found to be with child from the Spirit of Holiness.
18 Ora, o nascimento de Jesus Cristo foi assim: estando Maria, sua mãe, desposada com José, sem que tivessem antes coabitado, achou-se grávida pelo Espírito Santo.
19 But Jauseph her husband was just, and, not willing to defame her, meditated privately to release her.
19 Mas José, seu esposo, sendo justo e não a querendo infamar, resolveu deixá-la secretamente.
20 But while (on) these (things) he reflected, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, and said to him, Jauseph, son of David, fear not to take Mariam thy wife; for that which is conceived in her is from the Spirit of Holiness.
20 Enquanto ponderava nestas coisas, eis que lhe apareceu, em sonho, um anjo do Senhor, dizendo: José, filho de Davi, não temas receber Maria, tua mulher, porque o que nela foi gerado é do Espírito Santo.
21 She shall give birth to a son, and thou shalt call his name JESHU; for he shall save his people from their sins.
21 Ela dará à luz um filho e lhe porás o nome de Jesus, porque ele salvará o seu povo dos pecados deles.
22 Now all this was done, that what was spoken from the Lord by the prophet might be fulfilled:
22 Ora, tudo isto aconteceu para que se cumprisse o que fora dito pelo Senhor por intermédio do profeta:
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth the son, and they shall call his name Amanuel; which is interpreted, With us (is) our Aloha.
23 Eis que a virgem conceberá e dará à luz um filho, e ele será chamado pelo nome de Emanuel (que quer dizer: Deus conosco).
24 Then Jauseph, when he had arisen from his sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took unto him his wife;
24 Despertado José do sono, fez como lhe ordenara o anjo do Senhor e recebeu sua mulher.
25 and knew her not until she had given birth to her son, the firstborn; and she called his name Jeshu.
25 Contudo, não a conheceu, enquanto ela não deu à luz um filho, a quem pôs o nome de Jesus.
