1 AFTER these Jeshu walked in Galila; for he would not walk in Jihuda, because the Jihudoyee had sought to kill him.
1 Depois dessas coisas, Jesus andava pela Galileia; porque ele não queria andar pela Judeia, pois os judeus procuravam matá-lo.
2 And the feast of tabernacles of the Jihudoyee drew nigh.
2 Ora, estava próxima a festa dos tabernáculos dos judeus.
3 And his brethren said to Jeshu, Remove thee hence, and go into Jihuda, that thy disciples may see the works which thou doest.
3 Portanto, os seus irmãos disseram-lhe: Parte daqui e vai para a Judeia, para que também os teus discípulos vejam as obras que tu fazes.
4 For there is no man who doeth any thing in concealment, and willeth himself to be in openness: if these things thou doest, show thyself to the world.
4 Porque não há homem que faça coisa alguma em secreto, e que procure ser conhecido publicamente. Se tu fazes essas coisas, mostra-te ao mundo.
5 For neither did his brethren believe in him, in Jeshu.
5 Porque nem seus irmãos acreditavam nele.
6 Jeshu saith to them, My time until now cometh not, but your time is always ready.
6 Então, disse-lhes Jesus: Ainda não é chegado o meu tempo; mas o vosso tempo sempre está pronto.
7 The world cannot hate you: but me it hateth, because I bear witness against it that the works of it are evil.
7 O mundo não vos pode odiar, mas a mim odeia, porquanto dele dou testemunho, que são más as suas obras.
8 Go you up to this feast: I do not ascend now to this feast, because my time is not yet complete.
8 Subi vós à festa; eu ainda não subirei à esta festa, porque o meu tempo ainda não está cumprido.
9 These things said he, and remained in Galila.
9 E, tendo dito estas palavras, ele permaneceu na Galileia.
10 But when his brethren had ascended to the feast, then also he ascended; not in openness, but as in concealment.
10 Mas, quando seus irmãos já tinham subido, ele também subiu para a festa, não em público, mas como que secretamente.
11 But the Jihudoyee sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?
11 Então os Judeus o buscavam na festa e diziam: Onde está ele?
12 and there was great murmuring concerning him among the people; for some said that he was good, and others said, No; but he deceiveth the people.
12 E havia muita murmuração entre a multidão a respeito dele; porque alguns diziam: Ele é um bom homem; e outros diziam: Não, pois ele engana o povo.
13 But no man openly spoke of him, for fear of the Jihudoyee.
13 Todavia, nenhum homem falava dele publicamente, por medo dos judeus.
14 But when the days of the feast divided, Jeshu ascended to the temple, and taught.
14 Ora, na metade da festa, Jesus subiu ao templo, e ensinava.
15 And the Jihudoyee wondered and said, How knoweth this man the scripture, when he hath not learned?
15 E os judeus se maravilhavam, dizendo: Como conhece este homem letras, não as tendo aprendido?
16 Jeshu answered and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his who sent me.
16 Jesus respondeu e disse-lhes: A minha doutrina não é minha, mas daquele que me enviou.
17 Whosoever willeth to do his will understandeth my doctrine, if it be from Aloha, or (if) from the will of myself I speak.
17 Se algum homem quiser fazer a vontade dele, há de saber da doutrina, se ela é de Deus, ou se falo de mim mesmo.
18 He who from the will of his (own) mind speaketh, the glory of himself seeketh; but he who the glory of him who hath sent him seeketh, is true, and no iniquity is in him.
18 Quem fala de si mesmo busca a sua própria glória; mas o que busca a glória daquele que o enviou, esse é verdadeiro, e não há nele injustiça.
19 Did not Musha give you the law? But no man of you keepeth the law. Why seek you to kill me?
19 Não vos deu Moisés a lei? E, ainda assim, nenhum de vós cumpre a lei. Por que procurais matar-me?
20 The people answered, saying, Thou hast a demon: who seeketh to kill thee?
20 A multidão respondeu e disse: Tu tens um demônio, quem procura matar-te?
21 Jeshu answered and said to them, One work have I performed, and all of you wondered on this account.
21 Jesus respondeu e disse-lhes: Eu fiz uma obra, e todos vos maravilhais.
22 Musha gave you circumcision, not because it was from the fathers, and on the shabath you circumcise a man.
22 Portanto, Moisés vos deu a circuncisão (não porque é de Moisés, mas dos pais); e no dia do shabat circuncidais um homem.
23 But if a man is circumcised on the day of shabath because the law of Musha may not be broken, why against me do you murmur, because I have altogether healed a man on the day of shabath?
23 Se o homem recebe a circuncisão no dia do shabat, para que a lei de Moisés não seja violada, como vos irritais comigo, porque no dia do shabat eu fiz um homem inteiramente são?
24 Judge not with acceptance of persons, but righteous judgment judge you.
24 Não julgueis segundo a aparência, mas julgai segundo o reto juízo.
25 And some of Urishlem said, Is not this he whom they seek to kill?
25 Então, alguns dos de Jerusalém diziam: Não é este que eles procuram matar?
26 and, behold, openly he discourseth, and nothing say they to him. Do the elders know that this is truly the Meshicha?
26 Mas eis que ele fala publicamente, e nada lhe dizem. Porventura, sabem os governantes que este é verdadeiramente o Cristo?
27 Yet of this we know from whence he is; but when the Meshicha cometh, no man knoweth from whence he is.
27 Entretanto, nós sabemos de onde este homem é; mas quando vier o Cristo, nenhum homem saberá de onde ele é.
28 Jeshu lifted up his voice as he taught in the temple, and said, You know me, and from whence I am you know: and of myself I am not come; but true is he who sent me, he whom you know not.
28 Então, clamava Jesus no templo enquanto ensinava, dizendo: Vós me conheceis e sabeis de onde sou; e eu não vim de mim mesmo, mas aquele que me enviou é verdadeiro, o qual vós não conheceis.
29 But I know him who am from him; and he hath sent me.
29 Mas eu conheço-o; porque dele eu sou, e ele me enviou.
30 And they sought to apprehend him; but no man laid hands on him, because not yet was come his hour.
30 Então, eles buscavam prendê-lo; mas nenhum homem lançou mão dele, porque ainda não era chegada a sua hora.
31 But many of the multitude believed in him, and said, When the Meshicha is come, will he exceed the miracles which this doeth?
31 E muitos da multidão creram nele e diziam: Quando o Cristo vier, ele fará ainda mais milagres do que os que este homem tem feito?
32 The Pharishee heard the assembly, that they said these things of him, and the chief priests sent officers to apprehend him.
32 Os fariseus ouviram a multidão murmurar essas coisas a respeito dele; e os fariseus e os principais sacerdotes enviaram oficiais para o prenderem.
33 Jeshu said, Yet a little while am I with you, and I go unto him who sent me:
33 Então, disse-lhes Jesus: Ainda por um pouco de tempo eu estou convosco, e então eu vou para aquele que me enviou.
34 and you will seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am you cannot come.
34 Vós me buscareis, e não me achareis; e onde eu estou, vós não podeis vir.
35 The Jihudoyee say among themselves, Whither is this about to go, that we cannot find him? To the countries of the nations is he to go, and to teach the Heathens?
35 Disseram, pois, os judeus uns para os outros: Para onde ele irá que não o acharemos? Ele irá para os dispersos entre os gentios, e ensinará os gentios?
36 What is this word he hath said, You shall seek me, and not find me; and where I am you cannot come?
36 Que tipo de palavra é esta que ele disse: Vós me buscareis, e não me achareis; e onde eu estou, vós não podeis vir?
37 BUT in the great day, which was the last of the feast, stood Jeshu and cried, and said, If (any) man thirst, let him come unto me and drink;
37 No último dia, o grande dia da festa, Jesus pôs-se em pé e clamou, dizendo: Se algum homem tem sede, deixai-o vir a mim, e beber.
38 for whosoever believeth in me, as have said the scriptures, rivers of living waters shall flow from his belly.
38 Quem crê em mim, como diz a escritura, do seu ventre fluirão rios de água viva.
39 But this he spake of the Spirit which they should receive who believe in him. For not yet was the Spirit given, because not yet was Jeshu glorified.
39 (Mas isso ele falou do Espírito, que haviam de receber os que nele cressem; porque o Espírito Santo ainda não fora dado, pois Jesus ainda não tinha sido glorificado).
40 Now many of the assemblies who heard his words said, This is truly the Prophet.
40 Então, muitos da multidão, ouvindo este dizer, diziam: Verdadeiramente, este é o Profeta.
41 Others said, This is the Meshicha. Others said, How from Galila cometh the Meshicha?
41 Outros diziam: Este é o Cristo. Mas diziam outros: Virá o Cristo da Galileia?
42 Hath not the scripture said, That from the seed of David, and from Beth-lechem the town of David, cometh the Meshicha?
42 Não diz a escritura que o Cristo vem da semente de Davi, e da cidade de Belém, de onde era Davi?
43 And there was a division concerning him among the assemblies;
43 Assim, houve uma divisão entre o povo por causa dele.
44 and there were men of them who would have apprehended him; but no man laid hands on him.
44 E alguns deles queriam prendê-lo, mas nenhum homem lhe pôs as mãos.
45 AND those officers came to the chief priests and the Pharishee; and the priests said to them, Why have you not brought him?
45 Então, os oficiais foram até os principais sacerdotes e fariseus, e eles lhes perguntaram: Por que não o trouxestes?
46 The officers say to them, Never so spake a son of man as speaks this man!
46 Responderam os oficiais: Nunca homem algum falou assim como este homem.
47 The Pharishee say to them, Are you also deceived?
47 Então responderam-lhes os fariseus: Vós também fostes enganados?
48 Have any of the heads, or of the Pharishee, believed in him?
48 Alguém dos governantes ou dos fariseus acreditou nele?
49 But if this people who know not the law (believe in him), they are accursed.
49 Mas esta multidão, que não sabe a lei, é maldita.
50 One of them, Nikodimos, he who came to Jeshu by night, saith to them,
50 Nicodemos (o que de noite fora até Jesus, sendo um deles) disse-lhes:
51 Does our law condemn a man unless it shall hear from him first, and know what he hath done?
51 Porventura, julga a nossa lei algum homem sem primeiro ouvi-lo e ter conhecimento do que ele fez?
52 They answered and said to him, Art thou also of Galila? Investigate, and see, that the Prophet from Galila ariseth not.
52 Eles responderam, e disseram-lhe: És tu também da Galileia? Examina e vê; porque da Galileia não se levanta profeta.
53 — ausente —
53 E cada homem foi para sua própria casa.
