Efésios 5
The Peschito Syriac New Testament (ETHERIDGE) vs ARA
1 Be therefore imitators of Aloha, as beloved children;
1 Sede, pois, imitadores de Deus, como filhos amados;
2 and walk in love, as the Meshiha also loved us, and delivered himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to Aloha of a fragrant smell.
2 e andai em amor, como também Cristo nos amou e se entregou a si mesmo por nós, como oferta e sacrifício a Deus, em aroma suave.
3 BUT fornication and all uncleanness and covetousness, let them not be even heard among you, as it becometh the saints;
3 Mas a impudicícia e toda sorte de impurezas ou cobiça nem sequer se nomeiem entre vós, como convém a santos;
4 neither filthiness, nor words of folly, or of jeering, or fables, which are not necessary, but, instead of these, thanksgiving.
4 nem conversação torpe, nem palavras vãs ou chocarrices, coisas essas inconvenientes; antes, pelo contrário, ações de graças.
5 But this know, that any man who is a fornicator, or impure, or covetous, or an idolater, hath no inheritance in the kingdom of the Meshiha and of Aloha;
5 Sabei, pois, isto: nenhum incontinente, ou impuro, ou avarento, que é idólatra, tem herança no reino de Cristo e de Deus.
6 lest any man deceive you with vain words; for because of these cometh the anger of Aloha upon the sons of disobedience.
6 Ninguém vos engane com palavras vãs; porque, por essas coisas, vem a ira de Deus sobre os filhos da desobediência.
7 Be not, therefore, participators with them.
7 Portanto, não sejais participantes com eles.
8 For you were before darkness, but now you are light in our Lord. As the sons of light, then, so walk.
8 Pois, outrora, éreis trevas, porém, agora, sois luz no Senhor; andai como filhos da luz
9 For the fruits of the light are in all goodness and rectitude and truth.
9 (porque o fruto da luz consiste em toda bondade, e justiça, e verdade),
10 And be discerning of that which is good before our Lord.
10 provando sempre o que é agradável ao Senhor.
11 And have no communion with the works of darkness, which have no fruits, but reprove them.
11 E não sejais cúmplices nas obras infrutíferas das trevas; antes, porém, reprovai-as.
12 For that which in secrecy they do it is execrable even to mention.
12 Porque o que eles fazem em oculto, o só referir é vergonha.
13 For every thing is exposed by the light, and is revealed, and whatever revealeth is light.
13 Mas todas as coisas, quando reprovadas pela luz, se tornam manifestas; porque tudo que se manifesta é luz.
14 Wherefore it is said, Awake thou who sleepest, And arise from the dead, And the Meshiha shall enlighten thee.
14 Pelo que diz: Desperta, ó tu que dormes, levanta-te de entre os mortos, e Cristo te iluminará.
15 See then that you walk vigilantly, not as fools,
15 Portanto, vede prudentemente como andais, não como néscios, e sim como sábios,
16 but as the wise who redeem their opportunity, because the days are evil.
16 remindo o tempo, porque os dias são maus.
17 On account of this, be not wanting in mind, but understand what is the will of Aloha.
17 Por esta razão, não vos torneis insensatos, mas procurai compreender qual a vontade do Senhor.
18 And be not drunk with wine, in which is intemperance, but be filled with the Spirit.
18 E não vos embriagueis com vinho, no qual há dissolução, mas enchei-vos do Espírito,
19 And discourse with yourselves with psalms and with hymns and with songs of the Spirit, singing with your hearts unto the Lord.
19 falando entre vós com salmos, entoando e louvando de coração ao Senhor com hinos e cânticos espirituais,
20 And give thanks always on behalf of every man in the name of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha unto Aloha the Father.
20 dando sempre graças por tudo a nosso Deus e Pai, em nome de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo,
21 And be subject one to another in the love of the Meshiha.
21 sujeitando-vos uns aos outros no temor de Cristo.
22 WIVES, be subject to your husbands as to our Lord.
22 As mulheres sejam submissas ao seu próprio marido, como ao Senhor;
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, as the Meshiha is the head of the church, and he himself is the Saviour of the body.
23 porque o marido é o cabeça da mulher, como também Cristo é o cabeça da igreja, sendo este mesmo o salvador do corpo.
24 But as the church is subject to Meshiha, so also (should) wives be unto their husbands in every thing.
24 Como, porém, a igreja está sujeita a Cristo, assim também as mulheres sejam em tudo submissas ao seu marido.
25 Husbands, love your wives, as also the Meshiha loved his church, and gave himself for her,
25 Maridos, amai vossa mulher, como também Cristo amou a igreja e a si mesmo se entregou por ela,
26 that he might sanctify her and purify her in the laver of waters and by the word,
26 para que a santificasse, tendo-a purificado por meio da lavagem de água pela palavra,
27 and that he might constitute her a church unto himself, being glorified, and not having blemish or wrinkle or any thing like these; but to be holy and spotless.
27 para a apresentar a si mesmo igreja gloriosa, sem mácula, nem ruga, nem coisa semelhante, porém santa e sem defeito.
28 So it becometh husbands to love their wives, as their own bodies. For he who his wife loveth, himself he loveth.
28 Assim também os maridos devem amar a sua mulher como ao próprio corpo. Quem ama a esposa a si mesmo se ama.
29 For no man ever hated his own body, but nourisheth it, and taketh care of it; so also the Meshiha (taketh care) of the church.
29 Porque ninguém jamais odiou a própria carne; antes, a alimenta e dela cuida, como também Cristo o faz com a igreja;
30 For we are members of his body, and of his flesh are we, and of his bones.
30 porque somos membros do seu corpo.
31 Because of this a man leaveth his father and his mother, and cleaveth unto his wife, and they two become one flesh.
31 Eis por que deixará o homem a seu pai e a sua mãe e se unirá à sua mulher, e se tornarão os dois uma só carne.
32 This mystery is great; but I speak of the Meshiha and of his church.
32 Grande é este mistério, mas eu me refiro a Cristo e à igreja.
33 Nevertheless let every one of you so love his wife as his own self; but let the wife reverence her husband.
33 Não obstante, vós, cada um de per si também ame a própria esposa como a si mesmo, e a esposa respeite ao marido.
