The Peschito Syriac New Testament (ETHERIDGE) vs NVT
1 BUT I entreat of the presbyters who are among you, I, a presbyter, your companion, and a witness of the sufferings of the Meshiha, and a partaker of his glory that is to be revealed;
1 E agora, uma palavra aos presbíteros em seu meio. Eu, que também sou presbítero, testemunhei os sofrimentos de Cristo e também participarei de sua glória quando ela for revelada. Assim, peço-lhes
2 feed the flock of Aloha which is delivered to you, and take care (of it) spiritually, not by constraint, but with the will; not for corrupt gain, but with all your heart;
2 que cuidem do rebanho que Deus lhes confiou com disposição, e não de má vontade; não pelo que lucrarão com isso, mas pelo desejo de servir a Deus.
3 not as lords of the flock, but that you may be to them a goodly example;
3 Não abusem de sua autoridade com aqueles que foram colocados sob seus cuidados, mas guiem-nos com seu bom exemplo.
4 that when the Chief of pastors shall be revealed, you may receive from him a crown of glory which fadeth not.
4 E, quando vier o Grande Pastor, vocês receberão uma coroa de glória sem fim.
5 And you younger, be subject to your presbyters, and be clothed carefully with humility of mind towards one another; because Aloha is against those who exalt themselves, and to the humble he giveth grace.
5 Da mesma forma, vocês, que são mais jovens, aceitem a autoridade dos presbíteros. E todos vocês vistam-se de humildade no relacionamento uns com os outros. Pois, “Deus se opõe aos orgulhosos, mas concede graça aos humildes”.
6 Be humbled, therefore, under the mighty hand of Aloha, that he may exalt you at the right time.
6 Portanto, humilhem-se sob o grande poder de Deus e, no tempo certo, ele os exaltará.
7 And all your anxiety cast upon Aloha, because he is careful over you.
7 Entreguem-lhe todas as suas ansiedades, pois ele cuida de vocês.
8 Watch, and be mindful, because your adversary Satana, as a lion, roareth and walketh and seeketh whom he may devour.
8 Estejam atentos! Tomem cuidado com seu grande inimigo, o diabo, que anda como um leão rugindo à sua volta, à procura de alguém para devorar.
9 Withstand him then, being confirmed in the faith; and know that upon your brethren also who are in the world, these same sufferings come.
9 Permaneçam firmes contra ele e sejam fortes na fé. Lembrem-se de que seus irmãos em Cristo em todo o mundo estão passando pelos mesmos sofrimentos.
10 But the God of grace, who hath called us to his eternal glory by Jeshu Meshiha, will give to us while we endure these few afflictions to be strengthened, and confirmed, and established in him for ever.
10 Deus, em toda a sua graça, os chamou para participarem de sua glória eterna por meio de Cristo Jesus. Assim, depois que tiverem sofrido por um pouco de tempo, ele os restaurará, os sustentará e os fortalecerá, e os colocará sobre um firme alicerce.
11 To Him be glory and dominion and honour unto the age of ages. Amen.
11 A ele seja o poder para sempre! Amém.
12 These few, as I consider, I have written to you by the hands of Silvanos, a faithful brother; and I persuade and testify, that this is the true grace of Aloha, this wherein you stand.
12 Escrevi e enviei esta breve carta com a ajuda de Silas, a quem lhes recomendo como irmão fiel. Meu objetivo ao escrever é encorajá-los e garantir-lhes que as experiências pelas quais vocês têm passado são, verdadeiramente, parte da graça de Deus. Permaneçam firmes nessa graça.
13 The elect church which is in Babel, asketh for your peace, and Markos my son.
13 Aquela que está na Babilônia, escolhida assim como vocês, lhes envia saudações, e também meu filho Marcos.
14 Salute one another with the holy kiss. Peace be with all of you who are in the Meshiha. Amen.
