1 BUT I entreat of the presbyters who are among you, I, a presbyter, your companion, and a witness of the sufferings of the Meshiha, and a partaker of his glory that is to be revealed;
1 Rogo, pois, aos presbíteros que há entre vós, eu, presbítero como eles, e testemunha dos sofrimentos de Cristo, e ainda coparticipante da glória que há de ser revelada:
2 feed the flock of Aloha which is delivered to you, and take care (of it) spiritually, not by constraint, but with the will; not for corrupt gain, but with all your heart;
2 pastoreai o rebanho de Deus que há entre vós, não por constrangimento, mas espontaneamente, como Deus quer; nem por sórdida ganância, mas de boa vontade;
3 not as lords of the flock, but that you may be to them a goodly example;
3 nem como dominadores dos que vos foram confiados, antes, tornando-vos modelos do rebanho.
4 that when the Chief of pastors shall be revealed, you may receive from him a crown of glory which fadeth not.
4 Ora, logo que o Supremo Pastor se manifestar, recebereis a imarcescível coroa da glória.
5 And you younger, be subject to your presbyters, and be clothed carefully with humility of mind towards one another; because Aloha is against those who exalt themselves, and to the humble he giveth grace.
5 Rogo igualmente aos jovens: sede submissos aos que são mais velhos; outrossim, no trato de uns com os outros, cingi-vos todos de humildade, porque Deus resiste aos soberbos, contudo, aos humildes concede a sua graça.
6 Be humbled, therefore, under the mighty hand of Aloha, that he may exalt you at the right time.
6 Humilhai-vos, portanto, sob a poderosa mão de Deus, para que ele, em tempo oportuno, vos exalte,
7 And all your anxiety cast upon Aloha, because he is careful over you.
7 lançando sobre ele toda a vossa ansiedade, porque ele tem cuidado de vós.
8 Watch, and be mindful, because your adversary Satana, as a lion, roareth and walketh and seeketh whom he may devour.
8 Sede sóbrios e vigilantes. O diabo, vosso adversário, anda em derredor, como leão que ruge procurando alguém para devorar;
9 Withstand him then, being confirmed in the faith; and know that upon your brethren also who are in the world, these same sufferings come.
9 resisti-lhe firmes na fé, certos de que sofrimentos iguais aos vossos estão-se cumprindo na vossa irmandade espalhada pelo mundo.
10 But the God of grace, who hath called us to his eternal glory by Jeshu Meshiha, will give to us while we endure these few afflictions to be strengthened, and confirmed, and established in him for ever.
10 Ora, o Deus de toda a graça, que em Cristo vos chamou à sua eterna glória, depois de terdes sofrido por um pouco, ele mesmo vos há de aperfeiçoar, firmar, fortificar e fundamentar.
11 To Him be glory and dominion and honour unto the age of ages. Amen.
11 A ele seja o domínio, pelos séculos dos séculos. Amém!
12 These few, as I consider, I have written to you by the hands of Silvanos, a faithful brother; and I persuade and testify, that this is the true grace of Aloha, this wherein you stand.
12 Por meio de Silvano, que para vós outros é fiel irmão, como também o considero, vos escrevo resumidamente, exortando e testificando, de novo, que esta é a genuína graça de Deus; nela estai firmes.
13 The elect church which is in Babel, asketh for your peace, and Markos my son.
13 Aquela que se encontra em Babilônia, também eleita, vos saúda, como igualmente meu filho Marcos.
14 Salute one another with the holy kiss. Peace be with all of you who are in the Meshiha. Amen.
14 Saudai-vos uns aos outros com ósculo de amor. Paz a todos vós que vos achais em Cristo.
