¹ But we firmer men owe to sustain [or to bear up] the feeblenesses of sick men, [or \+sls (those)\+sls* unfirm in \+sls (the)\+sls* faith], and not [to] please to ourselves. (But we stronger men ought to bear up the weakness of frail or weak men, \+em or those unstable in the faith\+em*, and not to please ourselves.)

¹ Ora, nós que somos fortes devemos suportar as debilidades dos fracos e não agradar-nos a nós mesmos.

² Each of us please to his neighbour in[to] good, to edification.

² Portanto, cada um de nós agrade ao próximo no que é bom para edificação.

³ For Christ pleased not to himself (or For the Messiah did not please himself), [but], as it is written, The reproofs of men despising thee, felled on me, [or The reproofs, or shames, of men despising thee, fell on me].

³ Porque também Cristo não se agradou a si mesmo; antes, como está escrito: As injúrias dos que te ultrajavam caíram sobre mim.

⁴ For whatever things be written, those be written to our teaching, (so) that by (the) patience and (the) comfort of (the) scriptures we have hope.

⁴ Pois tudo quanto, outrora, foi escrito para o nosso ensino foi escrito, a fim de que, pela paciência e pela consolação das Escrituras, tenhamos esperança.

⁵ But (the) God of patience and of solace give to you to understand the same thing, each into (the) other, after (the example of) Jesus Christ, (And may the God of patience and of solace help you to agree on matters, with one another, after the example of Jesus Christ,)

⁵ Ora, o Deus da paciência e da consolação vos conceda o mesmo sentir de uns para com os outros, segundo Cristo Jesus,

⁶ (so) that ye of one will with one mouth worship God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁶ para que concordemente e a uma voz glorifiqueis ao Deus e Pai de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.

⁷ For which thing take ye together, as also Christ took you into the honour of God. (For which thing accept one another, as also the Messiah hath accepted you, for the honour or the glory of God.)

⁷ Portanto, acolhei-vos uns aos outros, como também Cristo nos acolheu para a glória de Deus.

⁸ For I say, that Jesus Christ was a minister (or a servant) of (the) circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises of (the) fathers.

⁸ Digo, pois, que Cristo foi constituído ministro da circuncisão, em prol da verdade de Deus, para confirmar as promessas feitas aos nossos pais;

⁹ And (the) heathen men owe to honour God for mercy (or And the Gentiles ought to honour God for his mercy); as it is written, Therefore, Lord, I shall acknowledge to thee among (the) heathen men, and I shall sing to thy name.

⁹ e para que os gentios glorifiquem a Deus por causa da sua misericórdia, como está escrito: Por isso, eu te glorificarei entre os gentios e cantarei louvores ao teu nome.

¹⁰ And again he saith, Ye heathen men, be ye glad [or \+sls (make)\+sls* joy] with his people. (And again it saith, Ye Gentiles, rejoice with his people!)

¹⁰ E também diz: Alegrai-vos, ó gentios, com o seu povo.

¹¹ And again, All heathen men, praise ye the Lord; and all peoples, magnify ye him. (And again, All the Gentiles, praise the Lord; yea, all the peoples, praise him.)

¹¹ E ainda: Louvai ao Senhor, vós todos os gentios, e todos os povos o louvem.

¹² And again Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, that shall rise up to govern heathen men, and heathen men shall (have) hope in him. (And again, Isaiah saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, that shall rise up to govern the Gentiles, and the Gentiles shall have hope in him.)

¹² Também Isaías diz: Haverá a raiz de Jessé, aquele que se levanta para governar os gentios; nele os gentios esperarão.

¹³ And God of hope full-fill you in all joy and peace in believing, that ye increase [or ye abound] in hope and virtue of the Holy Ghost. (And may the God of hope fill you full with all joy and peace by your believing, or by your faith in him, so that ye increase or abound in the hope and the power of the Holy Spirit.)

¹³ E o Deus da esperança vos encha de todo o gozo e paz no vosso crer, para que sejais ricos de esperança no poder do Espírito Santo.

¹⁴ And, brethren, I myself am certain of you, that also ye be full of love, and ye be [full-]filled with all cunning, (or with all knowing), [or with all science], so that ye may admonish each other. (And, brothers, I myself am certain about you, that ye also be full of love, and that ye be filled full with all knowledge, so that ye can admonish one another.)

¹⁴ E certo estou, meus irmãos, sim, eu mesmo, a vosso respeito, de que estais possuídos de bondade, cheios de todo o conhecimento, aptos para vos admoestardes uns aos outros.

¹⁵ And, brethren, more boldly I wrote to you a part, as bringing you into mind, for the grace that is given to me of God, (And, brothers, more boldly I wrote to you in part, as bringing you into remembrance, of the gift that is given to me by God,)

¹⁵ Entretanto, vos escrevi em parte mais ousadamente, como para vos trazer isto de novo à memória, por causa da graça que me foi outorgada por Deus,

¹⁶ that I be the minister of Christ Jesus among heathen men. And I hallow the gospel of God, that the offering of heathen men be accepted [or be made acceptable], and hallowed in the Holy Ghost. (that I be the servant of the Messiah Jesus among the Gentiles. And I consecrate the Gospel, or the Good News, of God, so that the offering of the Gentiles be made acceptable, and consecrated by the Holy Spirit.)

¹⁶ para que eu seja ministro de Cristo Jesus entre os gentios, no sagrado encargo de anunciar o evangelho de Deus, de modo que a oferta deles seja aceitável, uma vez santificada pelo Espírito Santo.

¹⁷ Therefore I have glory in Christ Jesus to God. (And so I have glory in the Messiah Jesus to God.)

¹⁷ Tenho, pois, motivo de gloriar-me em Cristo Jesus nas coisas concernentes a Deus.

¹⁸ For I dare not speak anything of those things, which Christ doeth not by me, into obedience of (the) heathen men, in word and deeds, (For I dare not say anything about those things, which the Messiah doeth not by me, to bring the Gentiles into obedience to God, by word and deed,)

¹⁸ Porque não ousarei discorrer sobre coisa alguma, senão sobre aquelas que Cristo fez por meu intermédio, para conduzir os gentios à obediência, por palavra e por obras,

¹⁹ in virtue of tokens and great wonders, in virtue of the Holy Ghost, so that from Jerusalem by compass to the Illyricum sea [or till unto Illyricum], I have [full-]filled the gospel of Christ. (by the power of miracles, \+em or signs\+em*, and great wonders, by the power of the Holy Spirit, so that from Jerusalem all around unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the Gospel, or the Good News, of the Messiah.)

¹⁹ por força de sinais e prodígios, pelo poder do Espírito Santo; de maneira que, desde Jerusalém e circunvizinhanças até ao Ilírico, tenho divulgado o evangelho de Cristo,

²⁰ And so I have preached this gospel, not where Christ was named, (or not where the Messiah hath already been spoken of, or not where the Messiah hath already been heard of), lest I build upon another’s ground,

²⁰ esforçando-me, deste modo, por pregar o evangelho, não onde Cristo já fora anunciado, para não edificar sobre fundamento alheio;

²¹ but as it is written, For to whom it is not told of him, they shall see, and they that heard not, shall understand.

²¹ antes, como está escrito: Hão de vê-lo aqueles que não tiveram notícia dele, e compreendê-lo os que nada tinham ouvido a seu respeito.

²² For which thing I was hindered full much to come to you, and I am hindered till [to] this time.

²² Essa foi a razão por que também, muitas vezes, me senti impedido de visitar-vos.

²³ And now I have not further place, [or cause of longer dwelling \+sls (there)\+sls*], in these countries (or in these regions), but I have (a) desire to come to you, of many years that [now] be passed.

²³ Mas, agora, não tendo já campo de atividade nestas regiões e desejando há muito visitar-vos,

²⁴ When I begin to pass into Spain (or When I go forth to Spain), I hope that in my going I shall see you, and of you I shall be led thither, if I [shall] use you first in part.

²⁴ penso em fazê-lo quando em viagem para a Espanha, pois espero que, de passagem, estarei convosco e que para lá seja por vós encaminhado, depois de haver primeiro desfrutado um pouco a vossa companhia.

²⁵ Therefore now I shall pass forth to Jerusalem, to minister to (the) saints. (But now I shall go forth to Jerusalem, to serve God’s people.)

²⁵ Mas, agora, estou de partida para Jerusalém, a serviço dos santos.

²⁶ For Macedonia and Achaia have assayed to make some gift, [or some collection, or \+sls (a)\+sls* gathering of money], to (the) poor men of (the) saints, that be in Jerusalem. (For the churches in Macedonia and in Achaia have decided to make a gift of some money, for those of God’s people in Jerusalem who be poor.)

²⁶ Porque aprouve à Macedônia e à Acaia levantar uma coleta em benefício dos pobres dentre os santos que vivem em Jerusalém.

²⁷ For it pleased to them, and they be debtors of them; for if heathen men be made partners of their ghostly things, they owe also in fleshly things to minister to them. (For it pleased them to do this, and they be their debtors; for if the Gentiles be made the partners of their spiritual things, then they, the Gentiles, ought also to serve them with fleshly things.)

²⁷ Isto lhes pareceu bem, e mesmo lhes são devedores; porque, se os gentios têm sido participantes dos valores espirituais dos judeus, devem também servi-los com bens materiais.

²⁸ Therefore when I have ended this thing, and have assigned to them this fruit, I shall pass by you into Spain (or I shall pass by you as I go to Spain).

²⁸ Tendo, pois, concluído isto e havendo-lhes consignado este fruto, passando por vós, irei à Espanha.

²⁹ And I know, that I coming to you, shall come in the abundance, [or \+sls (in the)\+sls* plenty], of the blessing of Christ. (And I know, that when I come, I shall come with a full measure of the Messiah’s blessing.)

²⁹ E bem sei que, ao visitar-vos, irei na plenitude da bênção de Cristo.

³⁰ Therefore, brethren, I beseech you by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the charity of the Holy Ghost, that ye help me in your prayers [for me] to the Lord, (And so, brothers, I beseech you by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Holy Spirit, that ye help me by your prayers for me to the Lord,)

³⁰ Rogo-vos, pois, irmãos, por nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo e também pelo amor do Espírito, que luteis juntamente comigo nas orações a Deus a meu favor,

³¹ that I be delivered from the unfaithful men, that be in Judea, and that the offering of my service be accepted in Jerusalem to (the) saints; (so that I be delivered from the unfaithful men, who be in Judea, and that the offering of my service be accepted by, or acceptable to, God’s people in Jerusalem;)

³¹ para que eu me veja livre dos rebeldes que vivem na Judeia, e que este meu serviço em Jerusalém seja bem-aceito pelos santos;

³² (so) that I come to you in joy, by the will of God, and that I be refreshed with you.

³² a fim de que, ao visitar-vos, pela vontade de Deus, chegue à vossa presença com alegria e possa recrear-me convosco.

³³ And (may the) God of peace be with you all. Amen.

³³ E o Deus da paz seja com todos vós. Amém!
