1 Then Bildad (the) Shuhite answered, and said,
1 Então respondeu Bildade, o suíta:
2 Power and dread is with him, that is, God, which maketh according in his high things. (Power and reverence is with God or Power and fear is with God, who maketh peace in all his high places.)
2 Com Deus estão domínio e temor; ele faz reinar a paz nas suas alturas.
3 Whether there is (a) number of his knights? (or Can his host be counted?) and upon whom shineth not his light?
3 Acaso têm número os seus exércitos? E sobre quem não se levanta a sua luz?
4 Whether a man comparisoned to God may be justified, either a man born of a woman may appear clean? (Can a man be justified when compared to God, or can \+em a man\+em* born of a woman ever be pure, \+em or innocent\+em*?)
4 Como, pois, pode o homem ser justo diante de Deus, e como pode ser puro aquele que nasce da mulher?
5 Lo! also the moon shineth not, and [the] stars be not clean in his sight; (Behold! to his eyes, the moon shineth not, and the stars be not pure;)
5 Eis que até a lua não tem brilho, e as estrelas não são puras aos olhos dele;
6 how much more man, that is rot, and the son of a man, that is a worm, is unclean, (\+em and vile\+em*), in comparison to God. (and so how much more a man, \+em who is\+em* but rot, and the son of a man, \+em who is\+em* but a worm, \+em be unclean, and vile, when compared to God\+em*.)
6 quanto menos o homem, que é um verme, e o filho do homem, que é um vermezinho!
