1 Henceforward, my brethren, have ye joy in the Lord. To write to you the same things, to me it is not slow, and to you it is necessary.
1 Para terminar: meus irmãos, sejam alegres por estarem unidos com o Senhor. Não me aborreço de escrever, repetindo o que já escrevi, pois isso contribuirá para a segurança de vocês.
2 See ye hounds, see ye evil workmen, see ye division [or concision].
2 Cuidado com os que fazem coisas más, esses cachorros , que insistem em cortar o corpo!
3 For we be (the) circumcision, which by (the) Spirit serve to God, and glory in Christ Jesus, (or who by the Spirit serve God, and glory in, or boast about, the Messiah Jesus), and have not trust in the flesh,
3 Porque os que receberam a verdadeira circuncisão fomos nós, e não eles. Nós adoramos a Deus por meio do seu Espírito e nos alegramos na vida que temos em união com Cristo Jesus em vez de pormos a nossa confiança em cerimônias religiosas como a circuncisão.
4 though I have trust, yea, in the flesh. If any other man is seen to trust in the flesh, I more,

5 that was circumcised in the eighth day, of the kin [or of the kindred] of Israel, of the lineage of Benjamin, an Hebrew of Hebrews, by the law a Pharisee, (who was circumcised on the eighth day, of the kindred of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews, a Pharisee by the Law,)
5 Fui circuncidado quando tinha oito dias de vida. Sou israelita de nascimento, da tribo de Benjamim, de sangue hebreu. Quanto à prática da lei , eu era fariseu .
6 by love pursuing the church of God, by rightwiseness that is in the law living without (com)plaint. (zealously persecuting God’s church, by the righteousness that is in the Law living without any fault.)
6 E era tão fanático, que persegui a Igreja. Quanto ao cumprimento da vontade de Deus por meio da obediência à lei, ninguém podia me acusar de nada.
7 But which things were to me winnings, I have deemed these impairings for Christ. (And those things which were to me winnings, now I have judged to be losses because of the Messiah.)
7 No passado, todas essas coisas valiam muito para mim; mas agora, por causa de Cristo, considero que não têm nenhum valor.
8 Nevertheless I guess all things to be impairment for the clear science (or for the glorious knowledge) of Jesus Christ my Lord. For whom I made all things impairment, and I deem as drit [or as turds], that I win Christ (or so that I may win the Messiah),
8 E não somente essas coisas, mas considero tudo uma completa perda, comparado com aquilo que tem muito mais valor, isto é, conhecer completamente Cristo Jesus, o meu Senhor. Eu joguei tudo fora como se fosse lixo, a fim de poder ganhar a Cristo
9 and that I be found in him, not having my rightwiseness that is of the law, but that that is of the faith of Christ Jesus, that is of God the rightwiseness in faith, (and that I be found in him, not having my righteousness that is from the Law, but the righteousness that is from faith in the Messiah Jesus, which is the righteousness from God through faith,)
9 e estar unido com ele. Eu já não procuro mais ser aceito por Deus por causa da minha obediência à lei. Pois agora é por meio da minha fé em Cristo que eu sou aceito; essa aceitação vem de Deus e se baseia na fé.
10 to know him, and the virtue of his rising again, and the fellowship of his passion, and to be made like [or \+sls (to be)\+sls* configured] to his death, (to know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the sharing of his suffering, and to be made like him in his death,)
10 Tudo o que eu quero é conhecer a Cristo e sentir em mim o poder da sua ressurreição. Quero também tomar parte nos seus sofrimentos e me tornar como ele na sua morte,
11 if on any manner (or in any manner) I come to the resurrection that is from death. [+if on any manner I shall come to the resurrection that is of \+sls (the)\+sls* dead.]
11 com a esperança de que eu mesmo seja ressuscitado da morte para a vida.
12 Not that now I have taken (hold of it), or now I am perfect; but I (pur)sue, if in any manner I comprehend [or I take \+sls (hold of)\+sls*] in which thing also I am comprehended of Jesus Christ. (Not that now I have caught it, or that now I am perfect, or am completed; but I continue to pursue it, if by any means I can catch hold of that for which also I am caught by Jesus Christ.)
12 Não estou querendo dizer que já consegui tudo o que quero ou que já fiquei perfeito, mas continuo a correr para conquistar o prêmio, pois para isso já fui conquistado por Cristo Jesus.
13 Brethren, I deem me not that I have comprehended, (or Brothers, I do not reckon that I have taken hold of it, or that I have caught it); but one thing, I forget those things that be behind, and stretching forth myself to those things that be before,
13 É claro, irmãos, que eu não penso que já consegui isso. Porém uma coisa eu faço: esqueço aquilo que fica para trás e avanço para o que está na minha frente.
14 and pursue to the ordained meed [or to the prize] of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (and pursue toward the ordained prize of the high calling of God in the Messiah Jesus.)
14 Corro direto para a linha de chegada a fim de conseguir o prêmio da vitória. Esse prêmio é a nova vida para a qual Deus me chamou por meio de Cristo Jesus.
15 Therefore whoever we be perfect, feel we this thing. And if ye understand in other manner anything, this thing God shall show to you.
15 Todos nós que somos espiritualmente maduros devemos ter essa maneira de pensar. Porém, se alguns de vocês pensam de maneira diferente, Deus vai tornar as coisas claras para vocês.
16 Nevertheless to what thing we have come, (so) that we understand the same thing, and that we perfectly dwell in the same rule.
16 Portanto, vamos em frente, na mesma direção que temos seguido até agora.
17 Brethren, be ye my followers, and wait ye (on) them that walk so, as ye have our form. (Brothers, follow me, and watch those who walk so, so that ye have our form.)
17 Meus irmãos, continuem a ser meus imitadores. E olhem com atenção também os que vivem de acordo com o exemplo que temos dado a vocês.
18 For many walk, which I have said oft to you, but now I weeping say, [them], the enemies of Christ’s cross (or the enemies of the Messiah’s cross),
18 Já disse isto muitas vezes e agora repito, chorando: existem muitos que, pela sua maneira de viver, se tornam inimigos da mensagem da morte de Cristo na cruz.
19 whose end is death, whose god is the womb, and the glory in [the] confusion of them, that savour [or that understand] earthly things.
19 Eles vão para a destruição no inferno porque o deus deles são os desejos do corpo. Eles têm orgulho daquilo que devia ser uma vergonha para eles e pensam somente nas coisas que são deste mundo.
20 But our living is in (the) heavens [or Forsooth our living is in heaven]; from whence also we abide (or we wait for) the Saviour our Lord Jesus Christ,
20 Mas nós somos cidadãos do céu e estamos esperando ansiosamente o nosso Salvador, o Senhor Jesus Cristo, que virá de lá.
21 which shall reform the body of our meekness, that is made like [or \+sls (that is)\+sls* configured] to the body of his clearness (or of his glory), by the working by which he may also make all things subject to him.
21 Ele transformará o nosso corpo fraco e mortal e fará com que fique igual ao seu próprio corpo glorioso , usando para isso o mesmo poder que ele tem para dominar todas as coisas.
