GOD'S WORD (ENGGW) vs BKJ
1 The Pharisees and Sadducees came to test Jesus. So they asked him to show them a miraculous sign from heaven.
1 Vieram também os fariseus com os saduceus, para o tentarem, pediram que lhes mostrasse algum sinal do céu.
2 He responded to them, “In the evening you say that the weather will be fine because the sky is red.
2 Mas ele, respondendo, disse-lhes: Quando é chegada a tarde, dizeis: Haverá bom tempo, porque o céu está rubro.
3 And in the morning you say that there will be a storm today because the sky is red and overcast. You can forecast the weather by judging the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.
3 E, pela manhã: Haverá tempo ruim hoje, pois o céu está de um vermelho sombrio. Hipócritas, podeis discernir a face do céu, mas não podeis discernir os sinais dos tempos?
4 “Evil and unfaithful people look for a miraculous sign. But the only sign they will be given is that of Jonah.”
4 Uma geração perversa e adúltera procura um sinal, e nenhum sinal lhe será dado, senão o sinal do profeta Jonas. E, ele os deixando, partiu.
5 The disciples had forgotten to take any bread along when they went to the other side of the Sea of Galilee.
5 E, passando seus discípulos para o outro lado, tinham-se esquecido de levar pão.
6 Jesus said to them, “Be careful! Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees!”
6 Então Jesus disse-lhes: Cuidai-vos e guardai-vos do fermento dos fariseus e dos saduceus.
7 The disciples had been discussing among themselves that they had not taken any bread along.
7 E eles arrazoavam entre si, dizendo: É porque nós não trouxemos pão.
8 Jesus knew about their conversation and asked, “Why are you discussing among yourselves that you don’t have any bread? You have so little faith!
8 Quando Jesus percebeu isso, disse: Oh pequena fé, por que arrazoais entre vós por não terdes trazido pão?
9 Don’t you understand yet? Don’t you remember the five loaves for the five thousand and how many baskets you filled?
9 Não compreendeis ainda, nem vos lembrais dos cinco pães e dos cinco mil, e de quantos cestos recolhestes?
10 Don’t you remember the seven loaves for the four thousand and how many large baskets you filled?
10 Nem dos sete pães e dos quatro mil, e de quantos cestos recolhestes?
11 Why don’t you understand that I wasn’t talking to you about bread? Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees!”
11 Como não compreendestes que eu não vos falei a respeito do pão, mas que tivessem cuidado do fermento dos fariseus e dos saduceus?
12 Then they understood that he didn’t say to watch out for the yeast in bread, but to watch out for the teachings of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
12 Então compreenderam de que não dissera que se guardassem do fermento do pão, mas da doutrina dos fariseus e dos saduceus.
13 When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”
13 Vindo Jesus às regiões de Cesareia de Filipe, perguntou aos seus discípulos, dizendo: Quem dizem os homens, que eu, o Filho do homem, sou?
14 They answered, “Some say you are John the Baptizer, others Elijah, still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
14 E eles disseram: Alguns dizem que és João, o Batista; outros Elias, e outros Jeremias, ou um dos profetas.
15 He asked them, “But who do you say I am?”
15 Disse-lhes ele: Mas vós, quem dizeis que eu sou?
16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God!”
16 E Simão Pedro, respondendo, disse: Tu és o Cristo, o Filho do Deus vivo.
17 Jesus replied, “Simon, son of Jonah, you are blessed! No human revealed this to you, but my Father in heaven revealed it to you.
17 E Jesus, respondendo, disse-lhe: Abençoado és tu, Simão Barjonas, pois carne e sangue não revelaram isso a ti, mas o meu Pai que está no céu.
18 You are Peter, and I can guarantee that on this rock I will build my church. And the gates of hell will not overpower it.
18 E eu também te digo que tu és Pedro, e sobre esta rocha eu edificarei a minha igreja, e as portas do inferno não prevalecerão contra ela.
19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you imprison, God will imprison. And whatever you set free, God will set free.”
19 E eu te darei as chaves do reino do céu; e tudo quanto tu ligares na terra será ligado no céu, tudo quanto tu desligares na terra será desligado no céu.
20 Then he strictly ordered the disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Messiah.
20 Então ele ordenou aos seus discípulos que não contassem a nenhum homem que ele era Jesus, o Cristo.
21 From that time on Jesus began to inform his disciples that he had to go to Jerusalem. There he would have to suffer a lot because of the leaders, the chief priests, and the experts in Moses’ Teachings. He would be killed, but on the third day he would be brought back to life.
21 Desde esse tempo começou Jesus a mostrar aos seus discípulos que ele deveria ir a Jerusalém, e sofrer muitas coisas dos anciãos, e dos principais sacerdotes e escribas, e ser morto, e ressuscitar ao terceiro dia.
22 Peter took him aside and objected to this. He said, “Heaven forbid, Lord! This must never happen to you!”
22 E Pedro, tomando-o, começou a repreendê-lo, dizendo: Longe de ti, Senhor; isso não será para ti.
23 But Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get out of my way, Satan! You are tempting me to sin. You aren’t thinking the way God thinks but the way humans think.”
23 Mas ele, virando-se, disse a Pedro: Para trás de mim, Satanás; tu és uma ofensa a mim; porque não tens gosto das coisas que são de Deus, mas das que são dos homens.
24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Those who want to come with me must say no to the things they want, pick up their crosses, and follow me.
24 Então disse Jesus aos seus discípulos: Se algum homem quiser vir após mim, negue-se a si mesmo, tome a sua cruz, e siga-me.
25 Those who want to save their lives will lose them. But those who lose their lives for me will find them.
25 Porque aquele que quiser salvar a sua vida, perdê-la-á; e quem perder a sua vida por minha causa, achá-la-á.
26 What good will it do for people to win the whole world and lose their lives? Or what will a person give in exchange for life?
26 Pois que vantagem tem o homem em ganhar o mundo inteiro, e perder a sua própria alma? Ou que dará o homem em troca da sua alma?
27 The Son of Man will come with his angels in his Father’s glory. Then he will pay back each person based on what that person has done.
27 Porque o Filho do homem virá na glória de seu Pai, com os seus anjos; e então recompensará a cada um segundo as suas obras.
28 I can guarantee this truth: Some people who are standing here will not die until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”
28 Em verdade eu vos digo, alguns dos que aqui estão não provarão a morte até que vejam o Filho do homem vindo em seu reino.
