GOD'S WORD (ENGGW) vs NTLH
1 The Pharisees and some experts in Moses’ Teachings who had come from Jerusalem gathered around Jesus.
1 Alguns fariseus e alguns mestres da Lei que tinham vindo de Jerusalém reuniram-se em volta de Jesus.
2 They saw that some of his disciples were unclean because they ate without washing their hands.
2 Eles viram que alguns dos discípulos dele estavam comendo com mãos impuras , quer dizer, não tinham lavado as mãos como os fariseus mandavam o povo fazer.
3 (The Pharisees, like all other Jewish people, don’t eat unless they have properly washed their hands. They follow the traditions of their ancestors.
3 (Os judeus, e especialmente os fariseus, seguem os ensinamentos que receberam dos antigos: eles só comem depois de lavar as mãos com bastante cuidado.
4 When they come from the marketplace, they don’t eat unless they have washed first. They have been taught to follow many other rules. For example, they must also wash their cups, jars, brass pots, and dinner tables.)
4 E, antes de comer, lavam tudo o que vem do mercado. Seguem ainda muitos outros costumes, como a maneira certa de lavar copos, jarros, vasilhas de metal e camas.)
5 The Pharisees and the experts in Moses’ Teachings asked Jesus, “Why don’t your disciples follow the traditions taught by our ancestors? They are unclean because they don’t wash their hands before they eat!”
5 Os fariseus e os mestres da Lei perguntaram a Jesus: — Por que é que os seus discípulos não obedecem aos ensinamentos dos antigos e comem sem lavar as mãos?
6 Jesus told them, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites in Scripture:
6 Jesus respondeu:
7 Their worship of me is pointless,
7 A adoração deste povo é inútil,
8 “You abandon the commandments of God to follow human traditions.”
8 E continuou:
9 He added, “You have no trouble rejecting the commandments of God in order to keep your own traditions!
9 E Jesus terminou, dizendo:
10 For example, Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother’ and ‘Whoever curses father or mother must be put to death.’
10 Pois Moisés ordenou: “Respeite o seu pai e a sua mãe.” E disse também: “Que seja morto aquele que amaldiçoar o seu pai ou a sua mãe!”
11 But you say, ‘If a person tells his father or mother that whatever he might have used to help them is corban (that is, an offering to God),
11 Mas vocês ensinam que, se alguém tem alguma coisa que poderia usar para ajudar os seus pais, mas diz: “Eu dediquei isto a Deus”,
12 he no longer has to do anything for his father or mother.’
12 então ele não precisa ajudar os seus pais.
13 Because of your traditions you have destroyed the authority of God’s word. And you do many other things like that.”
13 Assim vocês desprezam a palavra de Deus, trocando-a por ensinamentos que passam de pais para filhos. E vocês fazem muitas outras coisas como esta.
14 Then he called the crowd again and said to them, “Listen to me, all of you, and try to understand!
14 Jesus chamou outra vez a multidão e disse:
15 Nothing that goes into a person from the outside can make him unclean. It’s what comes out of a person that makes him unclean.
15 Tudo o que vem de fora e entra numa pessoa não faz com que ela fique
16 Let the person who has ears listen!”
16 [Se vocês têm ouvidos para ouvir, então ouçam.]
17 When he had left the people and gone home, his disciples asked him about this illustration.
17 Quando Jesus se afastou da multidão e entrou em casa, os seus discípulos lhe perguntaram o que queria dizer essa comparação.
18 Jesus said to them, “Don’t you understand? Don’t you know that whatever goes into a person from the outside can’t make him unclean?
18 Então ele disse:
19 It doesn’t go into his thoughts but into his stomach and then into a toilet.” (By saying this, Jesus declared all foods acceptable.)
19 porque não vai para o coração, mas para o estômago, e depois sai do corpo. Com isso Jesus quis dizer que todos os tipos de alimento podem ser comidos.
20 He continued, “It’s what comes out of a person that makes him unclean.
20 Ele continuou:
21 Evil thoughts, sexual sins, stealing, murder,
21 Porque é de dentro, do coração, que vêm os maus pensamentos, a imoralidade sexual, os roubos, os crimes de morte,
22 adultery, greed, wickedness, cheating, shameless lust, envy, cursing, arrogance, and foolishness come from within a person.
22 os adultérios, a avareza, as maldades, as mentiras, as imoralidades, a inveja, a calúnia, o orgulho e o falar e agir sem pensar nas consequências.
23 All these evils come from within and make a person unclean.”
23 Tudo isso vem de dentro e faz com que as pessoas fiquem impuras.
24 Jesus left that place and went to the territory of Tyre. He didn’t want anyone to know that he was staying in a house there. However, it couldn’t be kept a secret.
24 Jesus saiu dali e foi para a região que fica perto da cidade de Tiro. Ele entrou numa casa e não queria que soubessem que estava ali, mas não pôde se esconder.
25 A woman whose little daughter had an evil spirit heard about Jesus. She went to him and bowed down.
25 Certa mulher, que tinha uma filha que estava dominada por um espírito mau, ouviu falar a respeito de Jesus. Ela veio e se ajoelhou aos pés dele.
26 The woman happened to be Greek, born in Phoenicia in Syria. She asked him to force the demon out of her daughter.
26 Era estrangeira, de nacionalidade siro-fenícia, e pediu que Jesus expulsasse da sua filha o demônio.
27 Jesus said to her, “First, let the children eat all they want. It’s not right to take the children’s food and throw it to the dogs.”
27 Mas Jesus lhe disse:
28 She answered him, “Lord, even the dogs under the table eat some of the children’s scraps.”
28 — Mas, senhor, — respondeu a mulher — até mesmo os cachorrinhos que ficam debaixo da mesa comem as migalhas de pão que as crianças deixam cair.
29 Jesus said to her, “Because you have said this, go! The demon has left your daughter.”
29 Jesus disse:
30 The woman went home and found the little child lying on her bed, and the demon was gone.
30 Quando a mulher voltou para casa, encontrou a criança deitada na cama; de fato, o demônio tinha saído dela.
31 Jesus then left the neighborhood of Tyre. He went through Sidon and the territory of the Ten Cities to the Sea of Galilee.
31 Jesus saiu da região que fica perto da cidade de Tiro, passou por Sidom e pela região das Dez Cidades e chegou ao lago da Galileia.
32 Some people brought to him a man who was deaf and who also had a speech defect. They begged Jesus to lay his hand on him.
32 Algumas pessoas trouxeram um homem que era surdo e quase não podia falar e pediram a Jesus que pusesse a mão sobre ele.
33 Jesus took him away from the crowd to be alone with him. He put his fingers into the man’s ears, and after spitting, he touched the man’s tongue.
33 Jesus o tirou do meio da multidão e pôs os dedos nos ouvidos dele. Em seguida cuspiu e colocou um pouco da saliva na língua do homem.
34 Then he looked up to heaven, sighed, and said to the man, “Ephphatha!” which means, “Be opened!”
34 Depois olhou para o céu, deu um suspiro profundo e disse ao homem:
35 At once the man could hear and talk normally.
35 E naquele momento os ouvidos do homem se abriram, a sua língua se soltou, e ele começou a falar sem dificuldade.
36 Jesus ordered the people not to tell anyone. But the more he ordered them, the more they spread the news.
36 Jesus ordenou a todos que não contassem para ninguém o que tinha acontecido; porém, quanto mais ele ordenava, mais eles falavam do que havia acontecido.
37 Jesus completely amazed the people. They said, “He has done everything well. He makes the deaf hear and the mute talk.”
37 E todas as pessoas que o ouviam ficavam muito admiradas e diziam: — Tudo o que faz ele faz bem; ele até mesmo faz com que os surdos ouçam e os mudos falem!
