GOD'S WORD (ENGGW) vs BKJ
1 All the tax collectors and sinners came to listen to Jesus.
1 Então, aproximaram-se dele todos os publicanos e pecadores para ouvi-lo.
2 But the Pharisees and the experts in Moses’ Teachings complained, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”
2 E os fariseus e os escribas murmuravam, dizendo: Este homem recebe pecadores, e come com eles.
3 Jesus spoke to them using this illustration:
3 E ele lhes falou esta parábola, dizendo:
4 “Suppose a man has 100 sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the 99 sheep grazing in the pasture and look for the lost sheep until he finds it?
4 Qual de vós é o homem que, tendo cem ovelhas, e perdendo uma delas, não deixa no deserto as noventa e nove, e vai atrás da perdida até encontrá-la?
5 When he finds it, he’s happy. He puts that sheep on his shoulders and
5 E, tendo-a encontrado, regozijando-se, a põe sobre seus ombros.
6 goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says to them, ‘Let’s celebrate! I’ve found my lost sheep!’
6 E ele chegando em casa, chama os seus amigos e vizinhos, dizendo-lhes: Alegrai-vos comigo, porque eu encontrei a minha ovelha que estava perdida.
7 I can guarantee that there will be more happiness in heaven over one person who turns to God and changes the way he thinks and acts than over 99 people who already have turned to God and have his approval.”
7 Eu vos digo, que assim haverá mais alegria no céu por um pecador que se arrepende, do que por noventa e nove pessoas justas que não necessitam de arrependimento.
8 “Suppose a woman has ten coins and loses one. Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house, and look for the coin carefully until she finds it?
8 Ou qual mulher que, tendo dez peças de prata, e perdendo uma peça, não acende a candeia, e varre a casa, buscando com diligência até encontrá-la?
9 When she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Let’s celebrate! I’ve found the coin that I lost.’
9 E, tendo-a encontrado, ela chama as amigas e as vizinhas, dizendo: Alegrai-vos comigo, porque encontrei a peça que eu havia perdido.
10 So I can guarantee that God’s angels are happy about one person who turns to God and changes the way he thinks and acts.”
10 Assim eu vos digo que há alegria na presença dos anjos de Deus por um só pecador que se arrepende.
11 Then Jesus said, “A man had two sons.
11 E ele disse: Certo homem tinha dois filhos;
12 The younger son said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the property.’ So the father divided his property between his two sons.
12 e o mais jovem deles disse ao seu pai: Pai, dá-me a parte dos bens a que tenho direito. E ele dividiu-lhes os seus haveres.
13 “After a few days, the younger son gathered his possessions and left for a country far away from home. There he wasted everything he had on a wild lifestyle.
13 E poucos dias depois, o filho mais jovem, ajuntando tudo, partiu para uma terra distante, e ali desperdiçou os seus bens com uma vida desordeira.
14 He had nothing left when a severe famine spread throughout that country. He had nothing to live on.
14 E, havendo ele gastado tudo, houve naquela terra uma grande fome, e ele começou a passar necessidade.
15 So he got a job from someone in that country and was sent to feed pigs in the fields.
15 E ele foi e juntou-se a um dos cidadãos daquela terra, e ele o enviou aos seus campos para alimentar os porcos.
16 No one in the country would give him any food, and he was so hungry that he would have eaten what the pigs were eating.
16 E ele desejava encher o seu estômago com as cascas que os porcos comiam; e nenhum homem lhe dava nada.
17 “Finally, he came to his senses. He said, ‘How many of my father’s hired men have more food than they can eat, while I’m starving to death here?
17 E ele caindo em si, disse: Quantos servidores de meu pai têm pão suficiente e de sobra, e eu aqui pereço de fome!
18 I’ll go at once to my father, and I’ll say to him, “Father, I’ve sinned against heaven and you.
18 Levantar-me-ei, e irei para o meu pai, e lhe direi: Pai, eu pequei contra o céu e perante ti;
19 I don’t deserve to be called your son anymore. Make me one of your hired men.” ’
19 e não sou mais digno de ser chamado teu filho; faze-me como um dos teus servidores.
20 “So he went at once to his father. While he was still at a distance, his father saw him and felt sorry for him. He ran to his son, put his arms around him, and kissed him.
20 E ele, levantando-se, foi para seu pai. Mas, ele estando ainda longe do caminho, seu pai o viu, e teve compaixão, e, correndo, lançou-se-lhe ao pescoço, e o beijou.
21 Then his son said to him, ‘Father, I’ve sinned against heaven and you. I don’t deserve to be called your son anymore.’
21 E o filho lhe disse: Pai, eu pequei contra o céu e à tua vista, e não sou mais digno de ser chamado teu filho.
22 “The father said to his servants, ‘Hurry! Bring out the best robe, and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.
22 Mas o pai disse aos seus servos: Trazei a melhor veste, e vesti-o, e ponde-lhe um anel em sua mão, e calçados em seus pés;
23 Bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let’s celebrate with a feast.
23 e trazei aqui um novilho cevado, e matai-o; e comamos e alegremo-nos;
24 My son was dead and has come back to life. He was lost but has been found.’ Then they began to celebrate.
24 porque este meu filho estava morto, e vive novamente; tinha-se perdido, e foi achado. E eles começaram a alegrar-se.
25 “His older son was in the field. As he was coming back to the house, he heard music and dancing.
25 Ora, o seu filho mais velho estava no campo; e vindo, ao aproximar-se da casa, ele ouviu a música e as danças.
26 He called to one of the servants and asked what was happening.
26 E ele chamou um dos servos, e perguntou o que significavam aquelas coisas.
27 “The servant told him, ‘Your brother has come home. So your father has killed the fattened calf to celebrate your brother’s safe return.’
27 E ele lhe disse: O teu irmão chegou; e teu pai matou o novilho cevado, porque ele o recebeu são e salvo.
28 “Then the older son became angry and wouldn’t go into the house. His father came out and begged him to come in.
28 E ele se irritou e não queria entrar; portanto, saindo o pai, lhe rogava.
29 But he answered his father, ‘All these years I’ve worked like a slave for you. I’ve never disobeyed one of your commands. Yet, you’ve never given me so much as a little goat for a celebration with my friends.
29 E, ele respondendo, disse ao seu pai: Eis que eu te sirvo há tantos anos, e em nenhum momento eu transgredi um mandamento teu; contudo, tu nunca me deste um cabrito, para que eu pudesse me alegrar com os meus amigos;
30 But this son of yours spent your money on prostitutes, and when he came home, you killed the fattened calf for him.’
30 mas, vindo este teu filho, que desperdiçou os teus bens com as prostitutas, mataste-lhe o novilho cevado.
31 “His father said to him, ‘My child, you’re always with me. Everything I have is yours.
31 E, ele lhe disse: Filho, tu sempre estás comigo, e tudo o que eu tenho é teu.
32 But we have something to celebrate, something to be happy about. This brother of yours was dead but has come back to life. He was lost but has been found.’ ”
32 Mas era necessário fazer festa e regozijarmo-nos; porque este teu irmão estava morto, e vive novamente; tinha-se perdido, e foi achado.
