GOD'S WORD (ENGGW) vs NTLH
1 From Paul—an apostle ⌞chosen⌟ not by any group or individual but by Jesus Christ and God the Father who brought him back to life—
1 Eu, Paulo, escrevo esta carta — eu que fui chamado para ser apóstolo , não por pessoas ou por meio de uma pessoa, mas por Jesus Cristo e por Deus, o Pai, que ressuscitou Jesus da morte.
2 and all the believers who are with me.
2 Todos os irmãos que estão aqui comigo mandam saudações às igrejas da Galácia.
3 Good will and peace are yours from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ!
3 Que a graça e a paz de Deus, o nosso Pai, e do Senhor Jesus Cristo estejam com vocês!
4 In order to free us from this present evil world, Christ took the punishment for our sins, because that was what our God and Father wanted.
4 Em obediência à vontade do nosso Deus e Pai, Cristo se entregou para ser morto a fim de tirar os nossos pecados e assim nos livrar deste mundo mau.
5 Glory belongs to our God and Father forever! Amen.
5 A Deus seja a glória para todo o sempre! Amém !
6 I’m surprised that you’re so quickly deserting Christ, who called you in his kindness, to follow a different kind of good news.
6 Estou muito admirado com vocês, pois estão abandonando tão depressa aquele que os chamou por meio da graça de Cristo e estão aceitando outro evangelho.
7 But what some people are calling good news is not really good news at all. They are confusing you. They want to distort the Good News about Christ.
7 Na verdade não existe outro evangelho, porém eu falo assim porque há algumas pessoas que estão perturbando vocês, querendo mudar o evangelho de Cristo.
8 Whoever tells you good news that is different from the Good News we gave you should be condemned to hell, even if he is one of us or an angel from heaven.
8 Mas, se alguém, mesmo que sejamos nós ou um anjo do céu, anunciar a vocês um evangelho diferente daquele que temos anunciado, que seja amaldiçoado!
9 I’m now telling you again what we’ve told you in the past: If anyone tells you good news that is different from the Good News you received, that person should be condemned to hell.
9 Pois já dissemos antes e repetimos: se alguém anunciar um evangelho diferente daquele que vocês aceitaram, que essa pessoa seja amaldiçoada!
10 Am I saying this now to win the approval of people or God? Am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be Christ’s servant.
10 Por acaso eu procuro a aprovação das pessoas? Não! O que eu quero é a aprovação de Deus. Será que agora estou querendo agradar as pessoas? Se estivesse, eu não seria servo de Cristo.
11 I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the Good News I have spread is not a human message.
11 Meus irmãos, eu afirmo a vocês que o evangelho que eu anuncio não é uma invenção humana.
12 I didn’t receive it from any person. I wasn’t taught it, but Jesus Christ revealed it to me.
12 Eu não o recebi de ninguém, e ninguém o ensinou a mim, mas foi o próprio Jesus Cristo que o revelou para mim.
13 You heard about the way I once lived when I followed the Jewish religion. You heard how I violently persecuted God’s church and tried to destroy it.
13 Vocês ouviram falar de como eu costumava agir quando praticava a religião dos judeus. Sabem como eu perseguia sem dó nem piedade a Igreja de Deus e fazia tudo para destruí-la.
14 You also heard how I was far ahead of other Jews in my age group in following the Jewish religion. I had become that fanatical for the traditions of my ancestors.
14 Quando praticava essa religião, eu estava mais adiantado do que a maioria dos meus patrícios da minha idade e seguia com mais zelo do que eles as tradições dos meus antepassados.
15 But God, who appointed me before I was born and who called me by his kindness, was pleased
15 Porém Deus, na sua graça , me escolheu antes mesmo de eu nascer e me chamou para servi-lo. E, quando ele resolveu
16 to show me his Son. He did this so that I would tell people who are not Jewish that his Son is the Good News. When this happened, I didn’t talk it over with any other person.
16 revelar para mim o seu Filho a fim de que eu anunciasse aos não judeus a boa notícia a respeito dele, eu não fui pedir conselhos a ninguém.
17 I didn’t even go to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before I was. Instead, I went to Arabia and then came back to Damascus.
17 E também não fui até Jerusalém para falar com aqueles que eram apóstolos antes de mim. Pelo contrário, fui para a região da Arábia e depois voltei para Damasco.
18 Then, three years later I went to Jerusalem to become personally acquainted with Cephas. I stayed with him for fifteen days.
18 Três anos depois, fui até Jerusalém para pedir informações a Pedro e fiquei duas semanas com ele.
19 I didn’t see any other apostle. I only saw James, the Lord’s brother.
19 E não falei com nenhum outro apóstolo, a não ser com Tiago, irmão do Senhor.
20 (God is my witness that what I’m writing is not a lie.)
20 O que estou escrevendo a vocês é verdade. Deus sabe que não estou mentindo.
21 Then I went to the regions of Syria and Cilicia.
21 Depois fui para as regiões da Síria e da Cilícia.
22 The churches of Christ in Judea didn’t know me personally.
22 Durante esse tempo as pessoas das igrejas da Judeia não me conheciam pessoalmente.
23 The only thing they had heard was this: “The man who persecuted us is now spreading the faith that he once tried to destroy.”
23 Elas somente tinham ouvido o que outros diziam: “Aquele que antes nos perseguia está anunciando agora a fé que no passado tentava destruir!”
24 So they praised God for what had happened to me.
24 E louvavam a Deus por minha causa.
