GOD'S WORD (ENGGW) vs NVT
1 The Lord said to Moses, “Cut two ⌞more⌟ stone tablets like the first ones, and I will write on them the words that were on the first tablets which you smashed.
1 O S enhor disse a Moisés: “Corte duas tábuas de pedra como as primeiras. Nelas escreverei as mesmas palavras que estavam nas tábuas que você despedaçou.
2 Be ready in the morning. Then come up on Mount Sinai, and stand in my presence on the top of the mountain.
2 Esteja pronto amanhã cedo para subir ao Sinai e apresentar-se diante de mim no topo do monte.
3 No one may come with you or even be seen anywhere on the mountain. Even the flocks and herds may not graze in front of this mountain.”
3 Ninguém deve acompanhá-lo. Aliás, ninguém deve aparecer em parte alguma do monte. Não permita sequer que os rebanhos pastem próximo ao monte”.
4 So Moses cut two ⌞more⌟ stone tablets like the first ones. Early the next morning he went up on Mount Sinai, as the Lord had commanded him, carrying the two stone tablets.
4 Moisés cortou as duas tábuas de pedra como as primeiras. Logo de manhã, subiu ao monte Sinai conforme o S enhor havia ordenado, levando nas mãos as duas tábuas de pedra.
5 The Lord came down in a cloud and stood there with him and called out his name “the Lord.”
5 Então o S enhor desceu em uma nuvem, ficou ali com Moisés e anunciou seu nome, Javé.
6 Then he passed in front of Moses, calling out, “The Lord, the Lord, a compassionate and merciful God, patient, always faithful and ready to forgive.
6 O S enhor passou diante de Moisés, proclamando: “Javé! O S O Deus de compaixão e misericórdia! Sou lento para me irar e cheio de amor e fidelidade.
7 He continues to show his love to thousands of generations, forgiving wrongdoing, disobedience, and sin. He never lets the guilty go unpunished, punishing children and grandchildren for their parents’ sins to the third and fourth generation.”
7 Cubro de amor mil gerações e perdoo o mal, a rebeldia e o pecado. Contudo, não absolvo o culpado; trago as consequências do pecado dos pais sobre os filhos até a terceira e quarta geração”.
8 Immediately, Moses knelt, bowing with his face touching the ground.
8 No mesmo instante, Moisés se prostrou com o rosto no chão e adorou.
9 Then he said, “Lord, please go with us! Even though we are impossible to deal with, forgive our sin and the wrong we have done, and accept us as your own people.”
9 Em seguida, disse: “Senhor, se é verdade que te agradas de mim, peço que nos acompanhes na jornada. É verdade que o povo é teimoso e rebelde, mas eu te peço que perdoes nossa maldade e nosso pecado. Toma-nos como tua propriedade especial”.
10 The Lord said, “I’m making my promise again. In front of all your people I will perform miracles that have never been done in any other nation in all the world. All the people around you will see how awesome these miracles are that I will perform for you.
10 O S enhor respondeu: “Faço hoje uma aliança com você na presença de todo o seu povo. Realizarei maravilhas jamais vistas em nação alguma ou lugar algum da terra. E todos ao seu redor verão o poder do S enhor , o poder temível que demonstrarei em seu favor.
11 Do everything that I command today. Then I will force the Amorites, Canaanites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites out of your way.
11 Observe com atenção, porém, tudo que eu lhe ordeno hoje. Irei à sua frente e expulsarei os amorreus, os cananeus, os hititas, os ferezeus, os heveus e os jebuseus.
12 Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land where you’re going. This will prove to be a trap to you.
12 “Tenha muito cuidado para não assinar tratados com os povos que vivem na terra para a qual você está indo. Se o fizer, seguirá pelos maus caminhos deles e cairá numa armadilha.
13 But tear down their altars, crush their sacred stones, and cut down their poles dedicated to the goddess Asherah.
13 Em vez disso, destrua os altares idólatras, despedace as colunas sagradas e derrube os postes dedicados à deusa Aserá.
14 (Never worship any other god, because the Lord is a God who does not tolerate rivals. In fact, he is known for not tolerating rivals.)
14 Não adore outros deuses, pois o S enhor , cujo nome é Zeloso, é Deus zeloso de seu relacionamento com vocês.
15 Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in that land. When they chase after their gods as though they were prostitutes and sacrifice to them, they may invite you to eat the meat from their sacrifices with them.
15 “Não faça tratado algum com os povos que vivem na terra. No culto a seus deuses, eles se prostituem e oferecem sacrifícios. Eles o convidarão para comer dessas ofertas, e você aceitará o convite.
16 Then your sons will end up marrying their daughters. When their daughters chase after their gods as though they were prostitutes, they’ll lead your sons to do the same thing.
16 Depois, aceitará que as filhas deles, as quais sacrificam a outros deuses, se casem com seus filhos. Elas seduzirão seus filhos para que se prostituam adorando outros deuses.
17 “Never make an idol.
17 Não faça para si deuses de metal fundido.
18 “You must celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread. As I commanded you, you must eat unleavened bread for seven days at the appointed time in the month of Abib, because in that month you came out of Egypt.
18 “Celebre a Festa dos Pães sem Fermento. Durante sete dias, coma seu pão sem fermento, conforme eu lhe ordenei. Celebre essa festa anualmente no tempo determinado, no mês de abibe, pois é o aniversário de sua partida do Egito.
19 “Every first male offspring is mine, even the firstborn males of all your livestock, whether cattle, sheep, or goats.
19 “As primeiras crias de todos os animais me pertencem, incluindo os machos das primeiras crias de seus rebanhos de bois e ovelhas.
20 It will cost you a sheep or a goat to buy back the firstborn donkey. If you don’t buy it back, then you must break the donkey’s neck. You must buy back every firstborn of your sons.
20 Para resgatar a primeira cria de uma jumenta, entregue ao S enhor , como substituto, um cordeiro ou um cabrito. Caso você não resgate o animal, terá de quebrar o pescoço dele. Quanto aos primeiros filhos homens, será obrigatório resgatá-los. “Ninguém deve se apresentar diante de mim de mãos vazias.
21 “You may work six days, but on the seventh day you must not work. Even during the time of plowing or harvesting you must not work ⌞on this day⌟.
21 “Você tem seis dias na semana para fazer os trabalhos habituais, mas no sétimo dia não deve trabalhar, mesmo nas épocas de arar e colher.
22 “You must celebrate the Festival of Weeks with the first grain from your wheat harvest, and the Festival of the Final Harvest at the end of the season.
22 “Celebre a Festa da Colheita com os primeiros frutos da colheita do trigo. Celebre também a Festa da Última Colheita no final da safra.
23 “Three times a year all your men must come into the presence of the Master, the Lord God of Israel.
23 Três vezes por ano, todos os homens de Israel comparecerão diante do Soberano, o S enhor , o Deus de Israel.
24 I will force nations out of your way and will expand ⌞your country’s⌟ borders. No one will want to take away your land while you’re gone three times a year to the Lord’s festivals.
24 Expulsarei as outras nações de diante de você e aumentarei seu território, para que ninguém cobice sua terra enquanto você comparece diante do S enhor , seu Deus, três vezes por ano.
25 “Never offer the blood of a sacrifice to me at the same time you offer anything containing yeast. No part of the sacrifice at the Passover Festival should be left over in the morning.
25 “Não ofereça o sangue de meus sacrifícios com pão que contenha fermento. Não guarde até a manhã seguinte carne alguma do sacrifício de Páscoa.
26 “You must bring the first and best of the produce harvested from your soil to the house of the Lord your God.
26 “Quando fizer a colheita, leve à casa do S enhor , seu Deus, o melhor de seus primeiros frutos. “Não cozinhe o cabrito no leite da mãe dele”.
27 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write down these words, because on the basis of these words I’m making a promise to Israel and to you.”
27 O S enhor também disse a Moisés: “Escreva todas essas palavras, pois elas representam os termos da aliança que eu faço com você e com Israel”.
28 Moses was there with the Lord 40 days and 40 nights without food or water. He wrote on the tablets the words of the promise, the ten commandments.
28 Moisés permaneceu no monte com o S enhor quarenta dias e quarenta noites. Durante todo esse tempo, não comeu pão nem bebeu água. E escreveu os termos da aliança, os dez mandamentos, nas tábuas de pedra.
29 Moses came down from Mount Sinai, carrying the two tablets with God’s words on them. His face was shining from speaking with the Lord, but he didn’t know it.
29 Quando Moisés desceu do monte Sinai carregando as duas tábuas da aliança, não percebeu que seu rosto brilhava, pois ele havia falado com o S enhor .
30 When Aaron and all the Israelites looked at Moses and saw his face shining, they were afraid to come near him.
30 Quando Arão e os israelitas viram o brilho do rosto de Moisés, tiveram medo de se aproximar dele.
31 Moses called to them, so Aaron and all the leaders of the community came back to him. Then Moses spoke to them.
31 Moisés, porém, chamou Arão e os líderes da comunidade, que se aproximaram, e Moisés falou com eles.
32 After that, all the other Israelites came near him, and he commanded them to do everything the Lord told him on Mount Sinai.
32 Em seguida, todo o povo se aproximou, e Moisés lhes transmitiu todas as instruções que o S enhor lhe tinha dado no monte Sinai.
33 When Moses finished speaking to them, he put a veil over his face.
33 Quando Moisés terminou de falar com eles, cobriu o rosto com um véu.
34 But whenever Moses went into the Lord’s presence to speak with him, he took off the veil until he came out. Whenever he came out and told the Israelites what he had been commanded,
34 No entanto, sempre que entrava na tenda da reunião para falar com o S enhor , tirava o véu até sair. Depois, transmitia ao povo as instruções que o S enhor lhe dava,
35 they would see that Moses’ face was shining. Then Moses would put the veil back on until he went in again to speak with the Lord.
35 e os israelitas viam o brilho de seu rosto. Então Moisés cobria novamente o rosto com o véu até voltar para falar com o S enhor .
