GOD'S WORD (ENGGW) vs BKJ
1 When one of you has a complaint against another, how dare you go to court to settle the matter in front of wicked people. Why don’t you settle it in front of God’s holy people?
1 Ousa algum de vós, tendo um assunto contra outro, ir à lei perante os injustos, e não perante os santos?
2 Don’t you know that God’s people will judge the world? So if you’re going to judge the world, aren’t you capable of judging insignificant cases?
2 Não sabeis vós que os santos julgarão o mundo? E se o mundo será julgado por vós, sois vós indignos de julgar as questões mínimas?
3 Don’t you know that we will judge angels, not to mention things in this life?
3 Não sabeis vós que julgaremos os anjos? Quanto mais as coisas pertencentes a esta vida?
4 When you have cases dealing with this life, why do you allow people whom the church has a low opinion of to be your judges?
4 Então, se tiverdes julgamentos das coisas que pertencem a esta vida, escolheis para julgá-los os que são de menos estima na igreja.
5 You should be ashamed of yourselves! Don’t you have at least one wise person who is able to settle disagreements between believers?
5 Para a vossa vergonha eu digo: Não há, pois, entre vós homem sábio? Nem mesmo um, que possa julgar entre seus irmãos?
6 Instead, one believer goes to court against another believer, and this happens in front of unbelievers.
6 Mas o irmão vai à lei com o irmão, e isso perante os incrédulos.
7 You are already totally defeated because you have lawsuits against each other. Why don’t you accept the fact that you have been wronged? Why don’t you accept that you have been cheated?
7 Na verdade, já é realmente uma falta entre vós irem à lei uns contra os outros. Por que não sofreis, antes, a injustiça? Por que não sofreis, antes, o dano?
8 Instead, you do wrong and cheat, and you do this to other believers.
8 Mas vós fazeis a injustiça, e defraudais, e isso aos seus irmãos.
9 Don’t you know that wicked people won’t inherit God’s kingdom? Stop deceiving yourselves! People who continue to commit sexual sins, who worship false gods, those who commit adultery, homosexuals,
9 Não sabeis que os injustos não herdarão o reino de Deus? Não vos enganeis; nem os fornicadores, nem os idólatras, nem os adúlteros, nem os efeminados, nem os abusadores de si mesmos com os do sexo masculino,
10 or thieves, those who are greedy or drunk, who use abusive language, or who rob people will not inherit God’s kingdom.
10 nem os ladrões, nem os cobiçosos, nem os bêbados, nem os difamadores, nem os extorquidores, herdarão o reino de Deus.
11 That’s what some of you were! But you have been washed and made holy, and you have received God’s approval in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.
11 E assim foram alguns de vós, mas fostes lavados, mas fostes santificados, mas fostes justificados em nome do Senhor Jesus e pelo Espírito do nosso Deus.
12 Someone may say, “I’m allowed to do anything,” but not everything is helpful. I’m allowed to do anything, but I won’t allow anything to gain control over my life.
12 Todas as coisas me são lícitas, mas nem todas as coisas convêm; todas as coisas me são lícitas, mas eu não serei levado sob o poder de nenhuma.
13 Food is for the stomach, and the stomach is for food, but God will put an end to both of them. However, the body is not for sexual sin but for the Lord, and the Lord is for the body.
13 Os alimentos são para o ventre, e o ventre para os alimentos; mas Deus destruirá tanto um como os outros. Ora, o corpo não é para a fornicação, mas para o Senhor, e o Senhor para o corpo.
14 God brought the Lord back to life, and by his power God will also bring us back to life.
14 E Deus, que ressuscitou o Senhor, também nos ressuscitará pelo seu próprio poder.
15 Don’t you realize that your bodies are parts of Christ’s body? Should I take the parts of Christ’s body and make them parts of a prostitute’s body? That’s unthinkable!
15 Não sabeis vós que os vossos corpos são membros de Cristo? Tomaria eu, então, os membros de Cristo, e deles faria membros de uma prostituta? De modo algum.
16 Don’t you realize that the person who unites himself with a prostitute becomes one body with her? God says, “The two will be one.”
16 Ou não sabeis que aquele que se ajunta com uma prostituta é um só corpo? Porque os dois, diz ele, serão uma só carne.
17 However, the person who unites himself with the Lord becomes one spirit with him.
17 Mas o que se ajunta com o Senhor é um só espírito.
18 Stay away from sexual sins. Other sins that people commit don’t affect their bodies the same way sexual sins do. People who sin sexually sin against their own bodies.
18 Fugi da fornicação. Todo pecado que o homem comete está fora do corpo; mas o que comete fornicação peca contra o seu próprio corpo.
19 Don’t you know that your body is a temple that belongs to the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit, whom you received from God, lives in you. You don’t belong to yourselves.
19 Ou não sabeis que o vosso corpo é o templo do Espírito Santo, que está em vós, proveniente de Deus, e que não sois de vós mesmos?
20 You were bought for a price. So bring glory to God in the way you use your body.
20 Porque fostes comprados por um preço; portanto, glorificai a Deus no vosso corpo, e no vosso espírito, os quais são de Deus.
