1 Your own members are aware that there is sexual sin going on among them. This kind of sin is not even heard of among unbelievers—a man is actually married to his father’s wife.
1 É relatado frequentemente que há fornicação entre vós, e fornicação tal, que nem ainda entre os gentios é mencionado, que alguém possua a mulher de seu pai.
2 You’re being arrogant when you should have been more upset about this. If you had been upset, the man who did this would have been removed from among you.
2 E vós estais convencidos, e nem vos haveis entristecido para que fosse tirado do meio de vós o que fez esta ação.
3 Although I’m not physically present with you, I am with you in spirit. I have already judged the man who did this as though I were present with you.
3 Pois eu, na verdade, ainda que ausente no corpo, mas presente no espírito, já julguei, como se eu estivesse presente, a respeito daquele que fez tal ato,
4 When you have gathered together, I am with you in spirit. Then, in the name of our Lord Jesus, and with his power,
4 em nome de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, reunidos vós e o meu espírito, com o poder de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo,
5 hand such a person over to Satan to destroy his corrupt nature so that his spiritual nature may be saved on the day of the Lord.
5 o tal seja entregue a Satanás para destruição da carne, para que o espírito seja salvo no dia do Senhor Jesus.
6 It’s not good for you to brag. Don’t you know that a little yeast spreads through the whole batch of dough?
6 A vossa vanglória não é boa. Não sabeis que um pouco de fermento leveda a massa toda?
7 Remove the old yeast ⌞of sin⌟ so that you may be a new batch of dough, since you don’t actually have the yeast ⌞of sin⌟.
7 Purificai-vos, pois, do fermento velho, para que sejais uma nova massa, assim como estais sem fermento. Porque Cristo, nossa Páscoa, foi sacrificado por nós;
8 So we must not celebrate our festival with the old yeast ⌞of sin⌟ or with the yeast of vice and wickedness. Instead, we must celebrate it with the bread of purity and truth that has no yeast.
8 portanto, celebremos a festa, não com o fermento velho, nem com o fermento da maldade e da malícia, mas com os pães não fermentados da sinceridade e da verdade.
9 In my letter to you I told you not to associate with people who continue to commit sexual sins.
9 Eu vos tenho escrito por carta para não vos ajuntardes com os fornicadores;
10 I didn’t tell you that you could not have any contact with unbelievers who commit sexual sins, are greedy, are dishonest, or worship false gods. If that were the case, you would have to leave this world.
10 porém não quis dizer com os fornicadores deste mundo, ou com os avarentos, ou com os extorquidores, ou com os idólatras; porque então vos seria necessário sair do mundo.
11 Now, what I meant was that you should not associate with people who call themselves brothers or sisters in the Christian faith but live in sexual sin, are greedy, worship false gods, use abusive language, get drunk, or are dishonest. Don’t eat with such people.
11 Mas, agora, escrevi que não vos mantenhais na companhia de qualquer homem que chamado de irmão seja um fornicador, ou avarento, ou idólatra, ou caluniador, ou beberrão, ou extorquidor; com o tal nem ainda comais.
12 After all, do I have any business judging those who are outside ⌞the Christian faith⌟? Isn’t it your business to judge those who are inside?
12 Porque, que tenho eu em julgar também os que estão de fora? Não fazeis julgamento vós os que estão dentro?
13 God will judge those who are outside. Remove that wicked man from among you.
13 Mas Deus julga os que estão de fora. Portanto, apartai dentre vós, essa pessoa perversa.
