GOD'S WORD (ENGGW) vs ARC
1 Brothers and sisters, I couldn’t talk to you as spiritual people but as people still influenced by your corrupt nature. You were infants in your faith in Christ.
1 E eu, irmãos, não vos pude falar como a espirituais, mas como a carnais, como a meninos em Cristo.
2 I gave you milk to drink. I didn’t give you solid food because you weren’t ready for it. Even now you aren’t ready for it
2 Com leite vos criei e não com manjar, porque ainda não podíeis, nem tampouco ainda agora podeis;
3 because you’re still influenced by your corrupt nature.
3 porque ainda sois carnais, pois, havendo entre vós inveja, contendas e dissensões, não sois, porventura, carnais e não andais segundo os homens?
4 When some of you say, “I follow Paul” and others say, “I follow Apollos,” aren’t you acting like ⌞sinful⌟ humans?
4 Porque, dizendo um: Eu sou de Paulo; e outro: Eu, de Apolo; porventura, não sois carnais?
5 Who is Apollos? Who is Paul? They are servants who helped you come to faith. Each did what the Lord gave him to do.
5 Pois quem é Paulo e quem é Apolo, senão ministros pelos quais crestes, e conforme o que o Senhor deu a cada um?
6 I planted, and Apollos watered, but God made it grow.
6 Eu plantei, Apolo regou; mas Deus deu o crescimento.
7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is important because ⌞only⌟ God makes it grow.
7 Pelo que nem o que planta é alguma coisa, nem o que rega, mas Deus, que dá o crescimento.
8 The one who plants and the one who waters have the same goal, and each will receive a reward for his own work.
8 Ora, o que planta e o que rega são um; mas cada um receberá o seu galardão, segundo o seu trabalho.
9 We are God’s coworkers. You are God’s field.
9 Porque nós somos cooperadores de Deus; vós sois lavoura de Deus e edifício de Deus.
10 As a skilled and experienced builder, I used the gift that God gave me to lay the foundation ⌞for that building⌟. However, someone else is building on it. Each person must be careful how he builds on it.
10 Segundo a graça de Deus que me foi dada, pus eu, como sábio arquiteto, o fundamento, e outro edifica sobre ele; mas veja cada um como edifica sobre ele.
11 After all, no one can lay any other foundation than the one that is already laid, and that foundation is Jesus Christ.
11 Porque ninguém pode pôr outro fundamento, além do que já está posto, o qual é Jesus Cristo.
12 People may build on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw.
12 E, se alguém sobre este fundamento formar um edifício de ouro, prata, pedras preciosas, madeira, feno, palha,
13 The day will make what each one does clearly visible because fire will reveal it. That fire will determine what kind of work each person has done.
13 a obra de cada um se manifestará; na verdade, o Dia a declarará, porque pelo fogo será descoberta; e o fogo provará qual seja a obra de cada um.
14 If what a person has built survives, he will receive a reward.
14 Se a obra que alguém edificou nessa parte permanecer, esse receberá galardão.
15 If his work is burned up, he will suffer ⌞the loss⌟. However, he will be saved, though it will be like going through a fire.
15 Se a obra de alguém se queimar, sofrerá detrimento; mas o tal será salvo, todavia como pelo fogo.
16 Don’t you know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?
16 Não sabeis vós que sois o templo de Deus e que o Espírito de Deus habita em vós?
17 If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him because God’s temple is holy. You are that holy temple!
17 Se alguém destruir o templo de Deus, Deus o destruirá; porque o templo de Deus, que sois vós, é santo.
18 Don’t deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise in the ways of this world, you should give up that wisdom in order to become really wise.
18 Ninguém se engane a si mesmo: se alguém dentre vós se tem por sábio neste mundo, faça-se louco para ser sábio.
19 The wisdom of this world is nonsense in God’s sight. That’s why Scripture says, “God catches the wise in their cleverness.”
19 Porque a sabedoria deste mundo é loucura diante de Deus; pois está escrito: Ele apanha os sábios na sua própria astúcia.
20 Again Scripture says, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are pointless.”
20 E outra vez: O Senhor conhece os pensamentos dos sábios, que são vãos.
21 So don’t brag about people. Everything belongs to you.
21 Portanto, ninguém se glorie nos homens; porque tudo é vosso:
22 Whether it is Paul, Apollos, Cephas, the world, life or death, present or future things, everything belongs to you.
22 seja Paulo, seja Apolo, seja Cefas, seja o mundo, seja a vida, seja a morte, seja o presente, seja o futuro, tudo é vosso,
23 You belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.
23 e vós, de Cristo, e Cristo, de Deus.
